NICHOLAS S. VEDDER, OF TROY, AND TOBIAS S. HEISTER, OF LANSINGBURG, NEW YORK, ASSIGNORS TO NICHOLAS S. VEDDER.
DESIGN FOR A COOKING-STOVE.
Specification forming part of Design No. 5,159, dated August l, 1871.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, NICHOLAS S. VEDDER, of the city of Troy, in the county of Rensselaer and State of New York, and ToBIAs S. HEISTER, of Lansingburg, in said county and State, have jointly invented and produced a new Design for Stoves and Ranges, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying photographic representation of a cooking-stove having our said design.
One part of our invention consists of the com pound panel-ornament M, shaped and arranged upon a door or plate of a stove or range so as to appear substantially as shown in the accompa nying photograph. Another part of our invention consists of the compound ornament or ornaments N, shaped and arranged on a door or doors, or plate or plates, of a stove or range so as to appear substantially as represented in the aforesaid photograph. Another part of our invention is the design for the panelborder O, as distinguished by the row of projections p and an outer molding, g, all shaped and arranged so as to appear substantially as shown in the photograph. Another part of our invention consists of the design for the top plate R, hearth-plate S, and bottorn plate T, as distinguished by the flat inner surface u, inclined outer surface o, intermediate concave molding w, and rounded corners x, all shaped and arranged together so as to appear as represented in the accompanying photograph. Another part of our invention is the design for the leg Y, as distinguished by the compound ornament z, shaped and arranged thereon as shown in the photograph.
What we claim as our invention is'- l. The ornament M, shaped and arranged as herein described.
2. The ornament or ornaments N, shaped and arranged as herein set forth.
3. The design for the panel-border O, as herein specified.
4. The design'for the plates R, S, and T, as herein described.
5. The design for the leg Y, as described.
