To aZZ whom it may concern;

Be it known that I, WILLIAM H. \VILKIN son, now of Rochester, New York, formerly residing in the city of St. Louis, Missouri, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cook-Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying engraving, forming part thereof, in which the newly-designed stove is shown 'in perspective.

The stove A, generally considered, is of a familiar type, its body a being enhiforni, supported upon legs a, having a hearth, a, and a square top, a".

The leading feature of the design is an ivy ornamentation appearing upon the side of the stove, as follows: Upon the oven-door a is an eseutcheon, B, consisting of the face 0 and the surrounding circular border, and surrounding the escntchcon is a wreath, O, of ivy, which at c is extended in the form of a spray. The remaining portion of the door presents a smooth appearance, and the door, as a whole, projects prominently from the side plate of the stove. A cluster, D, of ivy appears upon the fire place door a, which otherwise has a smooth plain finish. The door a? is square in outline, and the panel a", bearing the cluster D, projects noticeably outward. Upon the legs is a lions face, E, terminating below in an ivy ornamentation, e. The border G, like the outline of the leg, is widest above and tapers to its lower end. At the upper end the border i is in the form of flntings g, and the remaining portion of the border is in the form of beadwork g. The face l) in side elevation projects markedly from the surrounding portion of the leg.

The design for acook-stove herein shown and described, the same consisting of the body, the legs, and the escntcheon, composed of the face and the encircling border and surrounded by the ivy wreath extended to form a spray upon the oven-door and the cl nster of ivy upon the fireplace door.

2. In a design for a cook-stove herein de scribed and shown, the oven-door, projecting as shown, and provided with ornamentation consisting of the escuteheon and the surrounding ivy wreath extended in the form ol'aspray.

3. In a design for a cookstove the square projecting fireplace door herein shown and described, and provided with ornamentation consisting of the cluster of ivy.

4. In a design for aeook-stove, the tapering leg having the projecting face surrounded by the border composed of the fiutings, cluster of ivy, and bead-work, as herein shown and described.
