DESlGN FOR A STOVE.

Be it known that I, ELLA A. BLAKsLnE, a :itizen of the United States, residing et Rock Island, inthe county of Rock Island and State )f Illinois, have invented and produced a. new and original Design for Cook Stoves und Ranges, of which the following is o. specificotion, reference being had to the accompsny ing drawing, showing a part thereof.

The figure is a side elevation of a range, showing my design.

The leading feature of my design is the ised ornamentation shown inthe drawing, consisting of the fantastic figures of the style of ornamentation known and called the Ger man Rennaissance, and appearingin different arrangement on the various parts of the range or stove.

The range or stove rests upon the standard S, upon which the ornamentation extends fromleaeh end toward the center. Each leg L ofthe stove is ornamented in the same style, as shown.

The oven-door O occupies the greater portion of one side of the stove or range. Il; is

oblong in its general contour, its lower half being alittle longer and extending farther to the front than its upper half, and its front edge slopes backward. Its outer edge is beaded, except at the bottom. At the front near the edge of the lower elongated half is borne the oruameuted handle h. Near the center of the door is a. medallion m. In front of the medallion is a. conventionalized group of floral designs. Encircling' the medallion is ornamentation ofthe same conventionalized design, somewhat resembling a. wreath. The rest R,be1ow the oven-door has its outer edge scalloped. The reservoirin the rear of the oven-door, is ornamented with a modication of the same design.

The side door of the [ire-box and so much of the body of the stove as is in front ofv the oven-door is crnamented with a modification of the same design, as shown. The high closet or warming-oven A is ornauiented in thesame general style.

The standard B and the ornamental guard or back of the high closet D have each near its center an ornamenied shell design appropriately surrounded by designs in harmony with the general style of the stove or range, as shown. At top and bottom of the high closet are borne crnainented anges a a, scalloped as shown.

The general outline of the body of the stove or range is rectangular. The reservoir,which slopes upward at the bottom to the rear, is attached to the rear of the stove. The hearth extends outward in front, as shown.

The general contour 0E the stove and the appearance of its ornamentation are the same in the range nud cook-stove.

Hevingthus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
