DESIGN FOR A STOVE OR RANGE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,658, dated February 16, 1897.

Application filed March 9,1896. Serial No. 682,491. Term of patent 14 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Beit known that I, FRED E. LEE, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Dowagiac, in the county of Cass and State of Michigan, have invented a certain new and 'useful Design for Cooking Stoves or Ranges,

of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to a, design for a cooking stove or range.

My invention relates particularly to the stove illustrated complete in the accompanying drawing, which presents a perspective view of the stove constructed in accordance with my design.

5. rIhe leading feature of my design is more particularly the peculiar coniiguration and ornamentation of the various portions ofthe stove.

The outline features of the design are not essentially new.

The stove shown is supported upon abase B, which also forms a warming-oven, which is ornamentcd as shown in the accompanying drawing. This warmingoven has double doors G, which are each ornamented the same as indicated in the drawing. Detachably supported upon this is the main body of the stove A, the various parts of which are ornamented substantially asindicated. The oven-door is ornamented,as indicated,along the outer edge, with the name-plate at the center. rIhe nameplate of the door, here left blank, is prefer ably finished in nickel and polished to increase the eliectiveness of the design. The lire-door is in the usual place and ornamented as shown in the drawing. The reservoir C is detachably supported to the back of the body of the stove and is figured and ornamented as illustrated in the accompanying drawing. The exterior of the hinged plate which covers the directions is located at about the center of the side of the reservoir presented to view and is ornamented as indicated in the drawing. An ornamental bracket D entends up on the side of the stove which ordinarily comes next to the wall and is or .amented as indicated and has two small swinging shelves to each side. Supported on this bracket D is an elevated warming closet or oven E, which is ornamented and config urated as indicated in the drawing. These parts enumerated form a complete and elaborate cooking stove or range very ornamental in its character, the parts of which can be arranged and used with other structures.

` Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

l. The design for a cookingstove, substantially as described and shown.

3. In a design for a cookingstove or range, the body portion A with its reservoir C to the rear, substantially as described and shown.

9. In a design 'for a cooking stove or range the warming-oven door G, substantially as described and shown.

lO. In a design for a cooking stove or range the fire-door F, substantially as described and shown.
