DESIGN FOR A COOKING-STOVE.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that 1, JAMES W. DWYER, of the city of St. Louis, Missouri, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cooking-Stoves, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the annexed drawing, forming part thereof, and exhibiting the newly-designed stove in perspectivc.

The most pronounced feature of this design is the contrasted smooth and rough surfaces of the stove, the top A and the hearth B, as well as minor parts G, being smooth, and the up right surfaces D being roughened, as shown. An additional feature is the vertical stripe E upon the roughened doors F G, consisting of the ribs e and the flowers e. The legs F, roughened atf, smooth at f, and striped at f substantially as shown, are an adscititious element of the design; and upon the oven-door is the shield G, and upon the door H at the front of the stove is the ornament i1. The| oven-hearth I has a smooth margin, 1, and a roughened depressed center, i.

In its general outline the stove is cubical, its top A projecting well from its sides, and the hearth B projecting markedly from its front.
