Wynalazek dotyczy sposobu wytwarzania porowatej struktury komórkowej podobnej do plastra pszczelego, który obejmuje etapy mieszania co najmniej ziarnistego materiału kruszywa złożonego z materiału ceramicznego i/lub metalu, wody, spoiwa organicznego, środka spieniającego oraz cząstek koloidalnych; zagniatania tej mieszaniny w celu utworzenia surowca; formowania z tego surowca kształtki struktury komórkowej podobnej do plastra pszczelego, posiadającej wiele komórek stanowiących drogi przepływu płynu; suszenia kształtki w celu otrzymania kształtki o strukturze komórkowej podobnej do plastra pszczelego; prażenia tej kształtki o strukturze komórkowej podobnej do plastra pszczelego w celu otrzymania kształtki prażonej; oraz wypalania prażonej kształtki w celu uzyskania porowatej struktury komórkowej podobnej do plastra pszczelego.
