Abstract

Det beskrives en kontinuerlig ekstruderingsprosess for funksjonalisering av polymerer via reaktiv ekstrudering. Prosessen benytter en kontinuerlig ekstruderingsreaktor omfattende minst to sekvensielle og til hverandre koblede, uavhengig drevne skrueekstrudere med et totalt effektivt lengde: diameter forhold større enn 60:1 og helt opp til 112:1 og som gir sterkt utvidede reaksjonstider for effektivt å gi en podet polymer med en høy grad av funksjonalisering. Tørking av polymerføden gjennomføres i den kontinuerlige ekstruderingsreaktor. Det kan tilveiebringes flere injeksjoner av reaktanter. Skjærmodifisering av molekylvekten i den podede polymer gjennomføres i den kontinuerlige ekstruderingsreaktor etter funksjonaliseringsreaksjonene. Det beskrives videre en kontinuerlig ekstruderingsreaktor og en podet polymer med et høyt nivå av funksjonalisering.
