Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método de fermentación semicontinuo de un microorganismo productor de ramnolípido para producir ramnolípidos. La fermentación puede realizarse como un proceso en lote, pero al final de la fermentación, al menos aproximadamente 70% del medio de fermentación que comprende uno o más ramnolípidos se extrae y el nuevo medio de cultivo (materia prima de alimentación) se alimenta como un reemplazo. Este proceso puede repetirse durante al menos aproximadamente un mes sin tener que sacrificar el rendimiento y el título de RL. Esto permite que el fermentador se utilice a una capacidad mayor con menos tiempo de inactividad para la limpieza en comparación con las estrategias de fermentación por lotes y la fermentación por lotes alimentados.
