Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a composiciones y métodos para alterar el contenido de giberelina (GA) en plantas de maíz u otro cereal; también se proporcionan métodos y composiciones para alterar la expresión de genes relacionados con la biosíntesis de la giberelina mediante la supresión, mutagenésis y/o edición de los subtipos específicos del gen de GA20 o GA3 oxidasas; se proporcionan adicionalmente plantas y células de plantas modificadas que tienen un elemento de supresión o mutación que redice la expresión o actividad de un gen de GA oxidasa que comprenden niveles de giberelina reducidos y características mejoradas, tales como altura reducida de la planta y resistencia al encamado aumentada, pero sin fueras de tipo.
