Abstract
métodos e composições para gerar alelos de baixa estatura dominantes usando edição genômica. a presente invenção refere-se a composições e métodos para alterar o teor de giberelina (ga) em plantas de milho ou outro cereal. os métodos e composições também são providos para alterar a expressão de genes relacionados à biossíntese de giberelina através da edição de um gene ou locus ga20 oxidase específico para produzir uma deleção ou ruptura genômica que coloca uma sequência antissenso do gene ga20 oxidase sob o controle de um promotor do gene samt vizinho. as plantas e células de plantas modificadas tendo um alelo dominante que reduz a expressão ou atividade de um ou mais genes ga oxidase são ainda providas compreendendo níveis reduzidos de giberelina e características melhoradas, tais como a altura reduzida da planta e resistência ao acamamento aumentada, mas sem tipos fora do padrão.
