Abstract
La presente invención aborda el problema de proporcionar un anillo de pistón cubierto con un recubrimiento de DLC que tenga una excelente resistencia al desgaste y muestre una baja propiedad de ataque sobre la superficie deslizante del calibre del cilindro. El problema se resuelve mediante un anillo de pistón que se utiliza en presencia de un aceite lubricante de motor e incluye un recubrimiento de DLC en una superficie de deslizamiento periférica exterior. El recubrimiento de DLC tiene una relación de componentes sp2 de 0.5 a 0.85 según se determina a partir de un espectro TEM-EELS obtenido mediante una combinación de microscopio electrónico de transmisión (TEM) y espectroscopía de pérdida de energía electrónica (EELS), así como una dureza del recubrimiento de 12 GPa. a 26 GPa y un módulo de Young de 250 GPa o menos medido por un método de nanoindentación.
