Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a materiales biodegradables novedosos basados en poliaminoácidos modificados, que son útiles en particular en la vectorización de principios activos (PA's); la invención también está dirigida a composiciones farmacéuticas, cosméticas, nutracéuticas o de protección de las plantas, basadas en estos poliaminoácidos; la finalidad de la invención es proveer un material inicial polimérico novedoso que se puede usar para la vectorización de PA's y que satisface todos los requerimientos: biocompatibilidad, biodegradabilidad, capacidad para asociarse fácilmente con muchos principios activos o disolverlos, y liberar estos principios activos in vivo; este objetivo es alcanzado por la presente invención, que se refiere a poliglutamatos novedosos modificados con grupos catiónicos, que si se pueden desprotonar exhiben un pKa igual o mayor que 7, y con grupos hidrofóbicos que comprenden de 8 a 30 átomos de carbono; estos poliglutamatos modificados con grupos catiónicos son convertidos fácil y económicamente en partículas para la vectorización de principios activos; estas partículas son, por si solas, capaces de formar suspensiones acuosas coloidales estables; estos poliglutamatos modificados tienen la ventaja de ser menos viscosos que otros polímeros análogos, reteniendo al mismo tiempo la capacidad para asociarse a proteínas como la insulina; algunos son solubles en agua a pH ácido y se hacen insolubles al pH fisiológico (7.4) y por lo tanto durante una inyección subcutánea precipitarían en el sitio de la inyección.
