Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un microorganismo modificado que presenta un aumento de la actividad de reductasas de metilglioxal; asimismo, se refiere a su uso para la preparación de 1,2-propanodiol y/o acetol; en particular, este aumento de la actividad de reductasas de metilglioxal se obtiene mediante el aumento de la expresión de genes específicos a partir de microorganismos; esta invención también se refiere a un método para la producción de 1,2-propanodiol y/o acetol mediante la fermentación de un microorganismo con un aumento de a actividad de reductasas de metilglioxal.
