Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a mejoras en un procedimiento para tratar residuos de la lixiviación de sulfuro de bario o de la lixiviación de sulfuro de estroncio, haciendo reaccionar los residuos con ácido clorhídrico y ácido sulfúrico, formándose una solución ácida y un material sólido, separándose la solución ácida del material sólido caracterizado por el hecho que se emplea un ácido clorhídrico que contiene aproximadamente 25 a 32 por ciento en peso de HC1 y un ácido sulfúrico que contiene aproximadamente 80 a 100 por ciento en peso de H2SO4, y la reacción de los residuos de la lixiviación se lleva a cabo con ácido clorhídrico y ácido sulfúrico a una temperatura entre 60 grados C y la temperatura de ebullición.
