Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para operar un motor de combustión interna, de dos tiempos, encendido por chispas, para controlar las emisiones de hidrocarburos en el gas de escape; dicho motor tiene una cabeza de cilindros con una cavidad en la misma que forma parte de una cámara de combustión, dicha cavidad está en comunicación directa con el resto de la cámara de combustión sobrela extensión completa de la cavidad en un plano perpendicular al eje del cilindro; el motor tiene unos orificios de entrada y de escape abiertos y cerrado por un pistón reciprocante, el método consiste en inyectar una cantidad medida o dosificada de combustible directamente a la cámara de combustión y se caracteriza por controlar el encendido o afinación de la ignición e inyección del combustible de manera que en algunas condiciones de carga baa del motor la ignición se lleve a cabo entre 50º y 65º de rotación angular del cigueñal antes del centro muerto superior del ciclo de motor; y la inyección del combustible se inicia antes de la ignición y cuando menos 80 por ciento del combustible se inyecta después del cierre del orificio de escape, para contribuir de esta forma a establecer una distribución estratificada de combustible en la carga de gas en la cámara de combustión.
