Abstract

가. 청구범위에 기재된 발명이 속하는 기술분야
본 발명은 하드디스크 드라이브의 제조공정중 테스트공정에서 사용하는 하드 디스크 드라이브의 테스트장치에 관한 것이다.
나. 발명이 해결하려는 기술적 과제
본 발명의 목적은 테스트용 컴퓨터 1대로 다수개의 하드 디스크 드라이브를 동시에 테스트할 수 있어 테스트의 효율성을 향상시킬 수 있고, 두체임버가 일체형으로 구성되어져 안전성을 구비한 고 신뢰성의 장치를 제공하며, 일반사용자의 입장에서 사용자의 테스트환경과 동일한 테스트환경을 제공하여 테스트결과의 신뢰성을 제공한다.
다. 발명의 해결방법의 요지
본 발명의 기술적사상에 따른 일실시예는 최적의 공간내에서 다수개의 하드디스크 드라이브를 효율적으로 테스트하기 위하여 다수개의 하드디스크 드라이브가 종횡방향으로 정렬되게 적층되는 구조인 고온의 번인 체임버와, 상기 다수개의 하드디스크 드라이브가 연결된 착탈가능한 테스트용 컴퓨터가 종횡방향으로 정렬되게 위치하고, 분리벽에 의해 상기 번인 체임버와 전후방으로 분리되는 제어 체임버와, 상기 번인 체임버의 내부환경 제어 및 상기 테스트용 컴퓨터에 테스트 시작신호를 발생하는 호스트 컴퓨터가 하나의 시스템으로 구성된다.
라. 발명의 중요한 용도
하드디스크 드라이브의 제조공정중 테스트공정에서 적용.

하드디스크 드라이브의 테스트장치
본 내용은 요부공개 건이므로 전문내용을 수록하지 않았음
제4도는 본 발명의 바람직한 일실시예에 따른 하드디스크 드라이브를 테스트 하는 장치의 내부를 나타내는 측면도이다.

Claims (7)

  1. 다수개의 하드디스크 드라이브가 종횡방향으로 정렬되게 적층되는 구조인 고온의 번인 체임버와, 상기 다수개의 하드디스크 드라이브가 연결된 착탈가능한 테스트용 컴퓨터가 종횡방향으로 정렬되게 위치하고, 분리벽에 의해 상기 번인 체임버와 전후방으로 분리되는 제어 체임버와, 상기 번인 체임버의 내부환경제어 및 상기 테스트용 컴퓨터에 테스트 제어신호를 발생하는 호스트 컴퓨터가 하나의 시스템으로 구성되어짐을 특징으로 하는 하드디스크 드라이브의 테스트장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 테스트용 컴퓨터 한 대와 상기 다수개의 하드디스크 드라이브가 각각 체임버내에 설치되어 효율적으로 연결되어지도록 상기 분리벽에 각각의 하드디스크와 연결되는 콘넥터가 관통하는 다수개의 홀이 종방향으로 위치하고, 상기 콘넥터에 연결되는 다수개의 콘넥터가 테스트용 컴퓨터에 위치하는 구조임을 특징으로 하는 하드디스크 드라이브의 테스트장치.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 테스트용 컴퓨터가 착탈시 분리벽에 정확히 슬라이딩 이동을 하여 서로 고정되도록 소정의 위치에 다수개의 위치가이드 돌기를 제어 체임버쪽으로 향하게 분리벽에 형성하고, 상기 돌기에 상응하게 위치가이드 홀을 컴퓨터의 마주보는 면에 형성함을 특징으로 하는 하드디스크 드라이브의 테스트장치.
  4. 다수개의 하드 디스크 드라이브를 동시에 다중테스트 하도록 운용자의 실행명령을 입력받아 테스트 제어신호를 발생하는 호스트 컴퓨터와, 상기 호스트 컴퓨터와 통신라인을 통해 다수개가 연결되고, 상기 호스트컴퓨터와 상호통신을 수행하여 실제 하드 디스크 드라이브를 테스트하는 테스트명령을 발생하고, 그 결과 리포트를 상기 호스트컴퓨터에 전송하는 복수의 테스트용 컴퓨터들과, 상기 다수의 테스트용 컴퓨터들 각각에 제어버스를 통해 연결되고, 상기 테스트용 컴퓨터들과 테스트할 하드 디스크 드라이브들과의 데이터 전송 동작을 제어하는 복수의 아이.디.이(IDE)어뎁터들을 구비하여 각 테스트용 컴퓨터로 복수의 하드 디스크 드라이브를 테스트함을 특징으로 하는 다중 테스트 장치.
  5. 하나의 호스트 컴퓨터에 다수의 테스트용 컴퓨터들을 연결하고, 그 각각의 테스트용 컴퓨터에 다시 복수의 아이.디.이(IDE)어뎁터들을 연결하도록 한 후 다시 그 각각의 아이.디.이(IDE)어뎁터들에 두대의 테스트 할 하드 디스크 드라이브들을 연결하여 다중 테스트 하는 방법에 있어서, 운용자로부터의 다중테스트 실행명령을 상기 호스트컴퓨터가 입력받아 상기 테스트용 컴퓨터들에 테스트 제어신호를 발생하는 제1과정과, 상기 테스트용 컴퓨터들을 상기 호스트컴퓨터의 저장영역에서 테스트 프로그램을 다운로딩한 후 그 프로그램에 의거하여 테스트명령을 상기 아이.디.이(IDE)어뎁터들을 통해 테스트할 하드 디스크 드라이브에 전송하는 제2과정과, 상기 테스트할 하드 디스크 드라이브들은 상기 테스트명령을 수신하여 해당 항목을 자체 테스트한후 그 결과를 아이.디.이(IDE)어뎁터들 통해 상기 테스트용 컴퓨터에 전송하는 제3과정과, 상기 테스트용 컴퓨터들은 상기 테스트할 하드 디스크 드라이브들로부터 상기 테스트 결과를 수신하여 최종적으로 호스트컴퓨터에 그 결과 리포트를 전송하는 제4과정을 수행함을 특징으로 하는 다중 테스트 방법.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 상기 제1과정은, 운용자로부터 다중테스트 실행명령을 호스트컴퓨터가 입력받아 자체의 프로그램을 실행하여 상기 다수의 테스트용 컴퓨터들을 부팅시키는 제5과정과, 상기 부팅된 테스트용 컴퓨터들과 통신채널을 형성하고, 그 개개의 테스트용 컴퓨터들의 초기상태를 체크한 후 테스트 제어신호를 발생하는 제6과정을 수행함을 특징으로 하는 다중 테스트 방법.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 제4과정을 수행한 후 상기 테스트 컴퓨터들은 상기 호스트컴퓨터로부터 테스트 종료메세지를 검출하고, 그 종료메세지가 수신되었을 시 그 테스트결과를 상기 테스트한 하드 디스크 드라이브의 저장영역인 메인턴언스 실린더에 기록하도록 하는 제어명령을 발생하는 제7과정을 더 수행함을 특징으로 하는 다중 테스트 방법.
