Abstract
본 발명은 박막 트랜지스터(TFT)등의 스위칭 소자와 화소전극이 매트릭스 형상으로 배열된 액티브·매트릭스형의 액정표시장치의 구동방법에 관한 것이며, 표시화면의 대형화, 고세밀화, 고애퍼쳐비의 결과로, 게이트선 부하가 증대하였어도, 화질 및 신뢰성이 우수하고 소비전력을 저감시킨 액정표시 장치의 구동방법을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
첫째 단계에서 △V=0이 되도록 게이트. 오프와 같은 타이밍으로 보상전압을 출력함으로써 게이트 지연에 의한 DC의 발생을 억제할 수 있다. 그후, △V가 타겟 값이 되도록, 제2보상 전압을 출력한다. 제2출력은 게이트 지연의 영향을 받지 않기 때문에 △V를 크게할 수 있다.

제1a도 내지 제1e도는 본 발명의 실시예에 의한 액정표시 장치의 구동방법을 설명하는 도면이다,
제2a도 내지 제2b도는 본 발명의 실시예에 의한 액정표시 장치의 구동방법을 설명하는 도면이다,
제3도는 Cs-온-게이트 구조의 액정표시 장치의 등가회로를 도시한 도면이다.
Claims (5)
- 게이트선에 게이트 신호를 인가하여 박막 트랜지스터를 온시키어 데이타선의 화소신호를 표시전극에 충전함과 동시에, 보조용량에 피드스루전압 보상전압을 인가하여 피드스루전압 보상을 한 후, 실효치 보상전압을 인가하여 피드스루전압 보상을 한 후, 실효치 보상전압을 인가하여 각 화소영역의 액정에 소정의 액정전위를 주는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 피드스루전압 보상전압은 상기 게이트신호의 하강하는 타이밍에 거의 일치하여 인가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 실효치 보상전압은 상기 피드스루전압 보상전압의 인가후 상기 박막 트랜지스터가 오프한 후에 인가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 보조용량은 상기 게이트선의 앞의 게이트선과 상기 표시전극으로 구성되고, 상기 피드스루전압 보상전압 및 실효치 보상전압은 상기 앞의 게이트선에 인가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 보조용 양은 독립된 축적 용량선과 상기 표시전극으로 구성되고, 상기 피드스루전압 보상전압 및 실효치 보상전압은 상기 축적 용량선에 인가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 구동방법.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
