Abstract

본 발명은 무급선 캐패시턴스에 기인하는 액정표시장치내의 불필요한 밝기요동을 제거하는 박막트랜지스터 액정표시장치의 스케닝을 위한 방법을 제공하는 것이다. 박막트랜지스터 액정표시장치에서 종래의 스케닝방법이 사용된 경우에, 박막 트랜지스터케이트와 픽셀 사이의 무급선 캐패시턴스는 픽셀의 밝기요동을 일으켰다. 본 발명의 방법은 한번에 표시장치의 한 종선만을 스케닝하고, 수평스켄구간에서 몇쌍을 지속적으로 스케닝되고 있으므로, 픽셀의 밝기요동을 제거한다.

Claims (5)

  1. 횡전극 및 종전극으로 이루어진 전환소자에 연결된 픽셀로 이루어지고, 양의 정수인 M종과 N횡으로 이루어지는 매트릭스배열을 가지고, 상기한 종라인전극에 선택전압에 전력을 공급하거나, 상기한 횡전극에 비선택 전압을 공급하므로서 선택되는 셀을 가진 박막트랜지스터 액정표시장치에서, 1 내지 N의 횡라인을 선택하므로서 횡선택라인으로 연결된 액정셀의 각 N횡에 있는 회전극; 1 내지 M의 종선을 선택하므로서 종으로 연결된 셀의 각 N종에 있는 종전극으로 이루어진 박막트랜지스터 액정표시장치의 구동방법에 있어서, 횡선택라인이 수평선의 스케닝구간에서 두줄로 광주사되고, 수평선의 스케닝동안 선택된 횡선택라인이 겹쳐지지 않도록 선택전압을 인가하고, 한쌍의 선택된 횡선택라인이 번갈아서 홀수 및 짝수필드에서 1선 옵셋인 것을 특징으로 하는 프레임스케닝구간에서 홀수필드와 짝수필드를 보유하는 다층모드에서 작동되는 박막트랜지스터 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 횡선택라인이 짝수와 홀수필드 모드에서 전진모드로 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 박막트랜지스터 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 횡선택라인이 짝수와 홀수필드 모두에서 점프모드로 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 박막트랜지스터 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 횡선택라인이 홀수필드에서 전진모드이고, 짝수필드에서 점프모드로 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 박막트랜지스터 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 횡선택라인이 홀수필드에서 점프모드이고, 짝수필드에서 전진모드로 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 박막트랜지스터 액정표시장치의 구동방법.
