Abstract

광 디스크 기록 시스템은 광 데이타 기록 매체 상에 기록된 데이타를 매체 상의 기록과 동시에 근본적으로 검증하는 것에 관한 것이다. 기록된 데이타는 매체상에 조사된 광의 타이밍을 검출하고, 매체 상에 조사된 광의 상승 및 하강시에 복귀된 광 도우즈를 측정하며, 이를 선정된 기준값과 비교하므로써 검증된다. 사용된 매체는 데이타 기록막 상에 데이타를 기록/판독/소거하기 위해 결정 상태와 비정질 상태 사이에서 전환가능한 위상 전이를 이용하고, 투명 기판(121) 상에 순서대로 형성된 제1보호막(122), 위상 전이형 데이타 기록막(123), 제2보호막(124), 및 반사막(125)를 포함한다. 제1보호막의 두께는 결정 상태, 비정질 상태 및 용융상태에서 각각 데이타 기록막의 3개의 반사율 중에서, 결정 상태에서의 반사율 및 용융 상태에서의 반사율이 서로 다르게 되고, 비정질 상태에서의 반사율 및 용융 상태에서의 반사율이 서로 다르게 되도록 설정된다. 고속 기록 동작은 실행되고 겹쳐쓰기 동작은 1번의 디스크 회전으로 완료될 수 있다.

Claims (15)

  1. 선정된 데이타가 광 데이타 기록 매체(5) 상에 기록되고 이 기록된 데이타가 검증되는 광 디스크 기록 시스템에 있어서, 상기 광 데이타 기록 매체 상에 단일 광 스폿을 형성하는 광 스폿 조사 수단(1,2,4,6); 상기 광 데이타 기록 매체로부터의 상기 광 스폿 중 복귀된 광의 도우즈(dose)를 측정하는 복귀된 광 도우즈 측정수단(15,16,17,18); 및 상기 광 데이타 기록 매체 상에 조사된 광의 상승 및 하강 타이밍을 검출하는 조사 광 타이밍 검출 수단(8,10,11)을 포함하고, 상기 기록된 데이타는 상기 광 데이타 기록 매체 상에 조사된 상기 광의 상기 상승 및 하강 타이밍에서 복귀된 광 도우즈를 측정하므로써 검증되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 디스크 기록 시스템
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광 데이타 기록 매체는 위상 전이 광 디스크를 포함하는 것을 광 디스크 기록 시스템
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 복귀된 광 도우즈 측정 수단은 선정된 기준 값을 갖는 상기 조사된 광의 상승 및 하강시에 복귀된 광의 도우즈들 사이를 비교하므로써 복귀된 광을 측정하는 2개의 비교기(15,16)을 포함하는 것을 광 디스크 기록 시스템.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광 스폿 조사 수단은 레이저 광 방출 수단(1)을 포함하고, 상기 조사 광 타이밍 검출 수단은 조사된 광의 상승 및 하강시에 상기 레이저 광 방출 수단으로 구동 신호를 미분시키므로써 조사 광 타이밍을 검출하기 위해 미분 수단(8)을 포함하는 것을 광 디스크 기록 시스템.
  5. 광 디스크 상에 데이타를 기록하는 방법에 있어서, 단일 광 스폿을 형성하여 이를 광 데이타 기록 매체(5) 상에 조사시키는 단계; 상기 단일 광 스폿을 사용하여, 선정된 데이타를 상기 광 데이타 기록 매체 상에 기록하는 단계; 상기 광 데이타 기록 매체로부터 상기 단일 광 스폿 중 복귀된 광의 도우즈를 측정하는 단계: 및 상기 광 데이타 기록 매체 상에 상기 선정된 데이타의 기록과 동시에 기록된 데이타를 검증하는 단계를 포함하고, 상기 검증 단계는 상기 광 데이타 기록 매체 상에 조사된 광의 상승 및 하강 타이밍을 검출하는 단계를 포함하며, 이 검증은 상기 광 데이타 기록 매체 상에 조사된 상기 광의 상기 상승 및 하강 타이밍에서 복귀된 광 도우즈를 측정하고 이 측정된 도우즈를 선정된 기준 값과 비교하므로써 실행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 디스크 상에 데이타를 기록하는 방법.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 광 도우즈를 측정하는 상기 단계는 복귀된 광을 측정하고, 선정된 기준 값을 갖는 조사된 광의 상승 및 하강시에 상기 복귀된 광의 도우즈들 사이를 비교하므로써 실행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 디스크 상에 데이타를 기록하는 방법.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 선정된 값의 상승 시간에서의 제1기준 전압 CLV는(0.7×Ic×Pw)Pr〈CLV〈(Ic×Pw)/Pr, 여기에서, Pw는 기록 레이저 파워, Pr은 판독 파워, 및 Ic는 기록막이 결정 상태에 있을 때의 판독 시에 출력된 복귀된 광 도우즈 모니터 신호의 관계식으로부터 얻어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 디스크 상에 데이타를 기록하는 방법.

  10. 데이타 기록막 상에 데이타를 기록/판독/소거하기 위해 결정 상태와 비정질 상태 사이에서 전환가능한 위상 전이를 이용하는 광 데이타 기록 매체에 있어서, 투명 기판(121); 상기 투명 기판 상에 형성된 제1보호막(122); 상기 제1보호막 상에 형성된 위상 전이형 데이타 기록막(123); 상기 위상 전이형 데이타 기록막 상에 형성된 제2보호막(124); 및 상기 제2보호막 상에 형성된 반사막(125)을 포함하고, 상기 제1보호막은 결정 상태, 비정질 상태 및 용융 상태 각각에서 상기 데이타 기록막의 3개의 반사율들 중, 상기 결정 상태에서의 반사율과 상기 용융 상태에서의반사율이 서로 다르게 주어지고, 상기 비정질 상태에서의 반사율과 상기 용융 상태에서의 반사율이 서로 다르게 주어지도록 설정되는 두께를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 데이타 기록 매체.
  11. 제10항에 있어서, 상기 반사막은 Si 및 Ge중 하나를 사용하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 데이타 기록 매체.

  15. 데이타 기록막 상에 데이타를 기록/판독/소거하기 위해 결정 상태와 비정질 상태 사이에서 전환가능한 위상 전이를 이용하며, 결정 상태, 비정질 상태 및 용융 상태 각각에서 상기 데이타 기록막의 3개의 반사율들중, 상기 결정 상태에서의 반사율과 상기 용융 상태에서의 반사율이 서로 다르게 주어지고, 상기 비정질 상태에서의 반사율과 상기 용융 상태에서의 반사율이 서로 다르게 주어지는, 기록과 동시에 광 데이타 기록 매체를 검증하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 광 데이타 기록 매체 상에 형성된 데이타 기록막이 광 조사에 의해 데이타 기록중에 용융 상태로 변할때 상기 광 데이타 기록 매체로부터 반사된 광을 검출하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 데이타 기록 매체 검증 방법.
