Abstract

다중채널 이미지 압축시스템은 이미지 데이터를 압축하기 위해 다수의 인코더(10,12,…,14)를 이용하고, 코딩레벨명령은 각 인코더에 의해 제공되는 품질의 레벨을 특정하도록 각 인코더에 제공되며, 코딩레벨명령에 응답한 인코더에 의해 제공된 인코드된 이미지 데이터는 전송을 위해 혼합신호로 멀티플렉스된다(26). 그리고, 코딩레벨명령은 통신채널(48)의 처리능력내에 축적된 데이터를 유지하도록 혼합신호로부터 축적된 데이터의 양에 응답하여 조절된다. 또한, 코딩레벨 명령이 모든 인코더에 대해 동일한 그로벌 코딩레벨을 특정함에도 불구하고, 인코더는 다른 인코딩 픔질을 제공하도록 그로벌 코딩레벨로부터 로칼 코딩 레벨을 추출할 수 있게 된다. 그리고, 디코더장치(30∼46)는 압축된 이미지 데이터로부터 이미지를 복구하도록 제공된다.

Description

다중채널 이미지 압축시스템용 통계처리 멀티플렉서

제1도는 본 발명에 따른 멀티채널 이미지 압축시스템의 블록도, 제2도는 제1도에 도시된 버퍼 콘트롤러의 상세한 블럭도, 제3도는 본 발명에 따른 인코더의 블록도, 제4도는 본 발명에 따른 디코더의 블록도, 제5도는 데이터블록으로 분할된 다양한 다수의 채널 이미지 프레임을 도식적으로 나타낸 도면, 제6도는 데이터 블록으로부터 조립된 데이터 패킷의 연속을 도식적으로 나타낸 도면이다.

Claims (15)

  1. 이미지 데이터를 압축하기 위한 다수의 인코더와, 이 다수의 인코더로부터의 압축된 이미지 데이터를 축적하기 위한 버퍼 수단, 각 인코더에 의해 제공되는 품질의 레벨을 특정하기 위해 상기 각 인코더에 코딩레벨 명령을 제공하도록 연결되면서, 상기 축적되는 데이터를 상기 버퍼수단의 데이터 저장용량 이내로 유지시키도록 상기 코딩레벨 명령을 조절하기 위해 상기 버퍼수단내의 압축된 이미지 데이터의 축적된 양에 응답하는 코딩레벨 제어수단 및, 상기 코딩레벨축제어수단에 응답해서 상기 인코더에 의해 제공되는 인코드된 이미지 데이터를 전송용 혼합신호로 멀티플렉싱하는 수단을 구비하여 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 다중채널 이미지 압축시스템.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 코딩레벨 명령은 상기 모둥 인코더에 대해 동일한 글로벌 코딩레벨을 특정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 다중채널 이미지 압축시스템.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 글로벌 코딩레벨과 다른 인코더에 의해 사용될 로칼 코딩레벨을 발생시키키 위해 상기 인코더중 적어도 하나와 동작적으로 관련된 수단을 더 구비하여 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 다중채널 이미지 압축시스템.
  4. 각 인코더에 의해 제공된 인코드된 이미지 데이터를 검색하도록 혼합신호를 디멀티플렉시하기 위한 수단과, 대응하는 인코더에 의해 제공된 이미지 데이터를 디코드하기 위해 상기 디멀티플렉싱수단에 각각 연결된 다수의 디코더 및, 수신된 데이터로부터 상기 코딩레벨 명령을 복구시키기 위한 수단을 구비하여 이루어지고, 인코드된 이미지 데이터를 디코드하기 위해 복구된 코딩레벨 명령에 응답하는 것을 특징으로 하는 제1항의 다중채널 이미지 압축시스템에 사용되는 디코더 장치.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 코딩레벨 명령은 상기 모든 인코더에 대해 동일한 글로벌 코딩레제를 특정하고, 상기 코딩레벨은 전송되기 전에 상기 혼합신호와 멀티플렉스되며, 상기 복구수단은 혼합신호로부터 상기 코딩레벨 명령을 복구시키키 위한 디멀티플렉서로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 디코더 장치.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 상기 글로벌 코딩레벨과 다른 인코더에 의해 사용될 로칼 코딩레벨을 발생시키기 위해 상기 인코더 중 적어도 하나와 동작적으로 관련된 수단과, 디코더에 의해 사용될 로칼 코딩레벨을 재생시키기 위해 적어도 상기 하나의 인코더에 대응하는 디코더와 동작적으로 관련된 수단을 더 구비하여 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 디코더 장치.
  7. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 복구수단이 상기 코딩레벨 명령을 재생시키기 위해 상기 혼합신호로부터의 데이터의 축적된 양에 응답하는 수단으로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 디코더 장치.
  8. 다른 비디오 채널로부터의 이미지 데이터의 연속적 프레임을 압축하기 위한 다수의 인코더와, 이미지 데이터의 프레임을 동일한 수의 데이터 블럭으로 분할하고, 상기 다수의 인코더에 의해 동시에 처리되도록 각 비디오 채널에 대한 데이터 블록을 인에이블링하기 위한 수단, 각 인코더에 의해 제공되는 품질의 레벨을 특정하도록 상기 각 인코더에 코딩레벨 명령을 제공하도록 연결된 코딩레벨 제어수단 및, 상기 코딩레벨 제어수단에 응답해서 상기 다수의 인코더에 의해 제공된 인코드된 이미지 데이터를 다른 비디오 채널의 각각에 대해 동일한 수의 데이터 블럭을 각각 포함하는 혼합신호로서의 전송용 패킷으로 조합하기 위한 수단을 구비하여 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 다중채널 이미지 압축시스템.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 코딩레벨 명령을 상기 모든 인코더에 대해 동일한 글로벌 코딩레벨을 특정하고, 상기 코딩레벨 제어수단은, 시간에 따라 디코더 버퍼내에 존재하는 데이터 블럭의 수를 결정하기 위한 수단과, 현재의 글로벌 코딩레벨 명령을 제공하기 위해 상기 결정수단에 응답하는 수단으로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 다중채널 이미지 압축시스템.
  10. 제9항이 있어서, 상기 결정수단에 응답하는 상기 수단은, 상기 현재의 글로벌 코딩레벨 명령을 제공하기 위해 이전의 글로벌 코딩레벨에도 응답하는 것을 특징으로 하는 다중채널 이미지 압축시스템.
  11. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 코딩레벨 명령은 상기 모든 인코더에 대해 동일한 글로벌 코딩레벨을 특정하고, 상기 코딩레벨 제어수단은, 시간에 따라 다수의 인코더 버퍼 내의 데이터의 총량을 결정하기 위한 수단과, 현재의 글로벌 코딩레벨 명령을제공하기 위해 상기 결정수단에 응답하는 수단으로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 다중채널 이미지 압축시스템.
  12. 제11항에 있어서, 상기 결정수단에 응답하는 상기 수단은, 상기 현재의 글로벌 코딩레벨 명령을 제공하기 위해 이전의 글로벌 코딩레벨에도 응답하는 것을 특징으로 하는 다중채널 이미지 압축시스템.
  13. 다수의 인코더의 각각에 의해 제공된 분리 압축된 이미지 데이터를 검색하도록 상기 혼합신호를 디멀티플렉싱하는 수단과, 대응하는 인코더에 의해 제공된 이미지 데이터를 신장시키기 위해 상기 디멀티플렉싱수단에 각각 연결된 다수의 디코더 및, 상기 혼합신호와 함께 수신된 데이터로부터, 상기 디코더로부터의 압축된 이미지 데이터의 축적된 양을 버퍼데이터 저장용량 이내로 유지시키도록 계산된 코딩레벨 명령을 복구시키기 위한 복구수단을 구비하여 이루어지고, 상기 이미지 데이터를 신장시키기 위해 복구된 코딩레벨 명령에 응답하는 것을 특징으로 하는 다수의 채널에 대해 데이터를 운반하는 혼합신호로부터 압축된 이미지 데이터의 각 채널을 복구시키기 위한 디코더장치.
  14. 제13항이 있어서, 상기 코딩레벨 명령은 상기 모든 인코더에 대해 동일한 글로벌 코딩레벨을 특정하고, 상기 코딩레벨 명령은 상기 혼합신호와 멀티플렉싱되며, 상기 복구수단은 상기 혼합신호로부터 상기 코딩레벨 명령을 복구시키기 위한 디컬멀티플렉서로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 다수의 채널에 대해 데이터를 운반하는 혼합신호로부터 압축된 이미지 데이터의 각 채널을 복구시키기 위한 디코더장치.
  15. 제13항에 있어서, 상기 복구수단은 상기 코딩레벨 명령을 재생시키기 위해 상기 혼합신호로부터 데이터의 축적된 양에 응답하는 수단으로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 다수의 채널에 대해 데이터를 운반하는 혼합신호로부터 압축된 이미지 데이터의 각 채널을 복구시키기 위한 디코더장치.
