제1도는 본 발명의 액정 디스플레이 셀에서 사용되는 배향막을 형성시키기 위한 수면 확산법에 의한 연속막 형성장치의 한예를 나타내는 개략도이고,
제2도는 유기중합체 용액의 확산 상태를 보여주는 개략도로서,
제2(a)도는 이들의 평면도이고,
제2(b)도는 이들의 확대 단면도이며,
제3도는 권취 속도와 배향막의 적외선 이색성 비율간의 관계를 보여주는 그래프이고,
제4도는 FT-IR을 사용하여 측정된 배향막의 적외선 이색성성질의 스펙트라 측정치를 나타낸 것이며,
제5도는 역치 특성을 나타낸 그래프이고,
제6도는 메모리 평가특성을 나타낸 그래프이고,
제7도는 액정 디스플레이 셀의 부분 단면 사시도이다.
Claims (20)
- 요망되는 디스플레이 패턴으로 기판상에 배열된 투명전극을 갖는 두 개의 간격을 가진 기판, 밀봉제어에 의해 상기 두기판의 내면 사이에 밀봉된 액정 조성물, 그리고 각각 투명 전극상에 설치된 두 개의 배향막으로 되고, 상기한 배향막이 0.1㎛ 또는 이하의 막 두께를 가지며 그리고 배향막의 적어도 하나가 유기중합체로 만들어져 있고 그리고 유기중합체 분자쇄를 한쪽 방향으로 0.003㎛ 또는 그 이상의 두께의 단층으로 배치하여 배향된 액정 디스플레이 셀.
- 제1항에 있어서, 유기중합체가 폴리아미드-산 또는 폴리이미드, 또는 이의 공중합체인 액정 디스플레이 셀.
- 제1항에 있어서, 유기중합체가 주쇄 또는 측쇄에 하나이상의 메소겐 그룹을 갖는 액정 중합체인 액정디스플레이 셀.
- 요망되는 디스플레이 패턴으로 기판상에 배열된 투명전극을 갖는 두 개의 간격을 가진 기판, 밀봉제에 의해 상기 두 기판의 내면 사이에 밀봉된 액정 조성물, 그리고 각각 투명 전극상에 설치된 두 개의 배향막으로 되고, 0.003㎛ 또는 그 이상의 단층막 두께를 갖는 상기한 배향막의 적어도 하나의 유기중합체의 용액을 수면상에 확산시키고 생성된 막을 권취하여 얻는, 액정 디스플레이 셀.
- 제4항에 있어서, 유기 중합체가 폴리아미드-산 또는 폴리이미드 또는 이의 공중합체인 액정 디스플레이셀.
- 제4항에 있어서, 유기중합체가 주쇄 또는 측쇄에 하나이상의 메소겐 그룹을 갖는 액정 중합체인 액정디스플레이 셀.
- 요망되는 디스플레이 패턴으로 기판상에 배열된 투명전극을 갖는 두 개의 간격을 가진 기판, 밀봉제에 의해 상기 두 기판의 내면 사이에 밀봉된 액정 조성물, 그리고 각각 투명 전극상에 설치된 두 개의 배향막으로 되고, 0.003㎛ 또는 그 이상의 단층막 두께를 갖는 상기한 배향막의 적어도 하나는 유기중합체로 만들어져 있고 유기 중합체의 용액을 수면상에 확산시킨다음 생성된 막을 권취함으로써 배향이 되는, 액정 디스플레이 셀.
- 제7항에 있어서, 유기 중합체가 폴리아미드-산 또는 폴리이미드, 또는 이의 공중합체인 액정 디스플레이 셀.
- 제7항에 있어서, 유기중합체가 주쇄 또는 측쇄에 하나이상의 메소겐 그룹을 갖는 액정 중합체인 액정 디스플레이 셀.
- 제4항에 있어서, 액정 조성물이 네마틱 액정 조성물인 액정 디스플레이 셀.
- 제4항에 있어서, 액정 조성물이 강유전성액정 조성물인 액정 디스플레이 셀.
- 제4항에 있어서, 액정 조성물이 네마틱 액정 조성물이고 액정 분자의 장축 방향이 제로의 전제하에 2개의 전극 기판간에서 80° 내지 280°로 비틀린 구조를 취하는 액정 디스플레이 셀.
- 제4항에 있어서, 배향막이 절연층 및/또는 커플링제 층상에 형성되고, 상기 절연층 및 커플링제 층은 전극의 하부 또는 상부에 형성되는 액정 디스플레이 셀.
- 제4항에 있어서, 배향막이 1.05 또는 그이상의 적외선 이색성 비율을 갖는 액정 디스플레이 셀.
- 제4항에 있어서 전극이 활성 매트릭스 전극인 액정 디스플레이 셀.
- 수면상에 유기중합체의 용액을 공급하고, 상기 용액을 막이 형성되도록 한 방향으로연신하고, 생성된 수면 확산된 막을 기판상에 설치된 전극의 소정 부분에 부착시키고, 제조된 배향막을 가진 한쌍의 전극 기판과 스페이서에 의해 형성되는 스페이스에 액정 조성물을 붓고, 그리고, 밀봉제에 의해 액정 조성물을 밀봉하는 것으로 되는 디스플레이 셀의 제조방법.
- 제16항에 있어서, 수면에 확산된 막을 수면상의 유기중합체 용액의 자생적 확산속도 보다 더마른 속도에서 권취하는 방법.
- 제16항에 있어서, 수면에 확산된 막을 수면 확산막의 권취 속도와 동일한 속도로 이동하는 다수의 전극기판에 연속적으로 부착시키는 방법.
- 제16항에 있어서, 유기 중합체가 폴리아미드-산 또는 폴리아미드, 또는 이의공중합체인 방법.
- 제16항에 있어서, 유기중합체가 주쇄 또는 측쇄에 하나이상의 메소겐 그룹을 갖는 액정 중합체인 방법.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
