Abstract

커튼에어백의 전개 성능 및 FMH(free motion headform) 충격 성능이 개선된 차량의 커튼에어백용 램프브라켓이 소개된다.
본 발명에 따른 차량의 커튼에어백용 램프브라켓은 내부에 장착된 커튼에어백쿠션이 전개될 수 있도록 일면이 개방된 쿠션장착부(10); 탑승자 충돌시 충격을 흡수할 수 있도록 상기 쿠션장착부(10)의 저면에 연장 형성된 충격흡수부(20)를 포함한다.

Description

차량의 커튼에어백용 램프브라켓{A RAMP BRAKET FOR CURTAIN AIR-BAG IN VEHICLE}
본 발명은 차량의 커튼에어백용 램프브라켓에 관한 것으로서, 더 상세하게는 쿠션장착부의 내측면을 라운드지게 구성하고, 쿠션장착부의 저면에 충격흡수부를 연장 형성하여 커튼에어백의 전개 성능 및 FMH(free motion headform) 충격 성능을 개선한 차량의 커튼에어백용 램프브라켓에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로, 자동차 에어백은 충돌사고가 났을 때 생기는 충격력이나 고속주행중의 급정거를 감지할 수 있는 센서를 구비하여, 사고 시 충격 강도를 감지한 센서의 신호에 따라 에어백 쿠션 속에 팽창가스를 주입하여 급속히 팽창시킴으로써 운전자는 물론 탑승자를 부상으로부터 최대한 보호하기 위한 안전장치이다.
차량의 측면 충돌 사고 시 루프 레일 부위가 심하게 변형되면서 이곳의 실내 돌출량이 많아지게 되고, 이로 인한 실내 공간의 축소로 탑승자의 머리부위에 미치는 상해가 크게 나타나, 최근에는 측방으로 가해지는 충격에 대해서도 탑승자를 보호할 수 있도록 커튼에어백이 적용되고 있다.
도 1에 도시된 바와 같이, 일반적으로, 자동차의 커튼에어백은 자동차의 측면 충돌이 발생할 경우 차실에 탑승한 승원의 부상을 방지하기 위하여 루프사이드패널에 장착되고 있다. 즉, 이러한 커튼에어백은 루프사이드패널(1)의 사이드 레일부(3)에 고정브라켓(9)를 통하여 장착되고 있으며, 상기 커튼에어백(5)이 설치된 사이드 레일부(3)에는 커튼에어백(5)이 전개시 차체와 필라트림 사이로 터지는 것을 방지하기 위한 보조브라켓(7)가 설치되고 있다.
여기서, 헤드라이닝(head lining)은 자동차 실내의 천장에 부착되는 합성수지로, 지붕과의 단열, 차음, 또는 차실의 흡음 등의 기능을 갖추고 있는 표피 및 패드를 기본 재료로 하여 일체로 성형된다.
따라서, 평상 시 커튼에어백(5)은 헤드라이닝에 의해 감싸져 있어 보이지 않다가 측면 충돌이 발생하게 되면, 상기 헤드라이닝을 제치고 전개된 후 도어글래스를 커버하게 됨으로써, 외부 장애물과 승원의 직접적인 접촉을 차단함과 아울러, 차실 이탈 등에 의한 추가적인 부상으로부터 승원을 보호할 수 있었다.
또한, 전개 시 차체와 필라트림 사이로 터지는 것은 사이드 레일부(3)에 설치되어 있는 보조브라켓(7)를 통하여 방지하고 있어 커튼에어백(5)이 예기치 않게 터져 이로 인해 승원이 부상당하는 것을 미연에 방지할 수 있었다.
한편, 커튼에어백에서 고정브라켓은 다양한 조건를 고려하여 설계되어야 하는데, 이러한 조건들 중 가장 중요한 것이 커튼에어백의 전개방향을 제어하고, FMH(Free Motion Headform) 충격 시험시 충격을 흡수 할 수 있어야한다는 것이다. 이러한 조건들은 탑승자의 안전에 직접적인 영향을 끼치는 것인 바, 차종 개발 단계에서 커튼에어백 비정상 전개 문제 및 FMH 성능 불만족 현상이 계속적으로 발생되고 있는 것에 반해, 북미에서는 최근 강화된 법규를 시행하고 있으며, 미국의 IIHS 및 독일의 NCAP 등에서도 강화된 안전 기준을 제시하고 있는 추세이다.
상기한 배경기술로서 설명된 사항들은 본 발명의 배경에 대한 이해 증진을 위한 것일 뿐, 이 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에게 이미 알려진 종래기술에 해당함을 인정하는 것으로 받아들여져서는 안 될 것이다.
본 발명은 이러한 종래의 문제점을 해결하기 위해 에어백쿠션의 전개 성능 및 FMH 충격 흡수성이 개선된 커튼에어백용 램프브라켓을 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다.
이러한 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명에 따른 차량의 커튼에어백용 램프브라켓은 내부에 장착된 커튼에어백쿠션이 전개될 수 있도록 일면이 개방된 쿠션장착부; 탑승자 충돌시 충격을 흡수할 수 있도록 상기 쿠션장착부의 저면에 연장 형성된 충격흡수부를 포함한다.
상기 쿠션장착부의 타면 내측은 개방된 일면 방향으로 볼록하게 라운딩되어 굴곡 형성되며, 상하면 내측과 타면 내측은 각각 라운딩되어 연결되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
상기 충격흡수부는 내부에 공간을 형성하여 이루어진 것을 특징으로 한다.
또한, 상기 충격흡수부는 상기 쿠션장착부의 타면에서 하방으로 연장 형성된 연장면과, 이 연장면에서 탑승자 방향으로 연장 형성되어 상기 쿠션장착부의 저면에 굴곡 체결되는 굴곡면을 포함한다.
상기 쿠션장착부의 저면과 상기 굴곡면 사이에는 상기 연장면으로부터 탑승자 방향으로 일정 길이 연장된 체결면이 형성되고, 상기 굴곡면의 끝단은 상기 쿠션장착부의 저면과 체결면 사이에 끼워져 결합되되, 탑승자 충돌시 상기 굴곡면의 끝단이 이동할 수 있도록 상기 쿠션장차부 저면과 체결면 사이에는 이동공간이 형성된 것을 특징으로 한다.
상기 체결면 끝단과 쿠션장차부 저면에는 각각 상하방으로 이탈방지턱이 돌출되어 끼움홀을 형성하고, 상기 굴곡면의 끝단에는 상기 끼움홀에 삽입이 용이하도록 전면이 라운딩되고 삽입된 후 상기 끼움홀에서 이탈되지 않도록 후면에는 상기 이탈방지턱에 걸리는 걸림턱이 형성된 후크가 마련되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
본 발명은 상기한 기술적 구성으로 인해 커튼에어백의 전개 성능 및 FMH(free motion headform) 충격 성능이 개선된다.
도 2는 본 발명의 차량의 커튼에어백용 램프브라켓의 사시도이고, 도 3은 본 발명의 차량의 커튼에어백용 램프브라켓의 단면도이다.
이하에서는 첨부된 도면을 참조하여 본 발명의 바람직한 실시 예에 따른 차량의 커튼에어백용 램프브라켓에 대하여 살펴본다.
도 2에 도시된 바와 같이, 본 발명에 따른 차량의 커튼에어백용 램프브라켓은 쿠션장착부(10)와 충격흡수부(20)를 포함한다.
쿠션장착부(10)의 내부에는 커튼에어백쿠션이 장착된다. 이러한 쿠션장착부(10)는 일면이 개방되어 있는 바, 차량에 측면 충돌이 있는 경우, 쿠션장착 부(10)의 개방된 일면으로 커튼에어백쿠션이 전개된다. 쿠션장착부(10)의 상하면 및 타면은 커튼에어백쿠션이 전개될 때 커튼에어백쿠션을 지지한다.
충격흡수부(20)는 상기 쿠션장착부(10)의 저면에서 하방으로 연장 형성된다. 이러한 충격흡수부(20)는 차량의 측면 충돌이 발생되어 탑승자가 쿠션장착부(10)의 하부에 부딪히는 경우, 충격을 최소화하기 위해 장착된다. 탑승자가 부딪힐 때, 충격흡수부(20)에서 충격을 흡수함으로써 탑승자의 상해치를 최소화할 수 있다. 이러한 충격흡수부(20)는 다양한 방식으로 충격을 흡수할 수 있는데, 그 대표적인 예로 충격흡수부(20)에 탑승자가 부딪히는 경우 스스로 변형을 일으키면서 충격을 흡수하는 방법이 있다.
도 3을 참조하여 본 발명의 차량의 커튼에어백용 램프브라켓을 더 상세히 설명한다.
도시된 바와 같이, 본 발명의 차량의 커튼에어백용 램프브라켓은 쿠션장착부(10)은 그 내측 상하면과 타면이 라운딩(R)되어 연결되는 것을 특징으로 한다. 쿠션장착부(10)에서 커튼에어백쿠션이 전개되는 경우, 라운딩(R)된 면이 커튼에어백쿠션을 지지하는 바, 라운딩(R)된 면은 쿠션장착부(10)의 개방된 일면으로 커튼에어백쿠션을 안내하는 기능을 하는 것은 물론, 커튼에어백쿠션의 지지력도 향상시킨다. 이러한 기능을 위해 쿠션장착부(10)의 타면 내측도 개방된 일면 방향으로 볼록하게 라운딩(R)되도록 제조하는 것이 바람직하다.
충격흡수부(20)는 그 내부에 밀폐된 공간을 형성하여 이루어진 것을 특징으로 한다. 내부에 일정 공간을 형성함으로써, 탑승자가 충돌하는 경우 충격에 의해 변형되는 바, 충격흡수 기능을 갖을 수 있다.
이러한 충격흡수부(20)는 연장면(22), 굴곡면(24)을 이용하여 구성할 수도 있다. 연장면(22)은 쿠션장착부(10)의 타면에서 하방으로 연장 형성된다. 또한, 굴곡면(24)은 이 연장면(22)에서 탑승자 방향(차량의 내측 방향)으로 돌출 연장 형성되어 쿠션장착부(10)의 저면에 굴곡 체결된다. 이러한 간단한 구성에 의하여 내부에 공간이 형성된 충격흡수부(20)를 형성할 수 있다.
나아가, 쿠션장착부(10)의 저면과 굴곡면(24) 사이에는 연장면(22)으로부터 탑승자 방향으로 일정 길이 연장된 체결면(26)이 형성된다. 따라서, 쿠션장착부(10)의 저면과 체결면(26) 사이에는 일정한 공간이 발생되고, 이러한 공간에 굴곡면(24)의 끝단이 끼워져 결합된다. 쿠션장착부(10)의 저면과 체결면(26) 사이에 형성된 일정 공간은 굴곡면(24)의 끝단이 끼워진 상태에서도 충분한 여유공간이 남을 정도로 형성된다. 이러한 여유공간은 굴곡면(24)의 끝단의 이동공간(S)이다. 즉, 탑승자가 충격흡수부(20)에 부딪히는 경우, 굴곡면(24)의 끝단이 이동공간(S)상을 이동하며 충격을 흡수할 수 있기 때문에, 탑승자의 충격이 감소되는 효과를 얻을 수 있다.
한편, 체결면(26)의 끝단과 쿠션장착부(10)의 저면에는 각각 상하방향으로 서로 대응되는 이탈방지턱(26a,10a)이 돌출 형성된다. 이러한 이탈방지턱(26a,10a)에 의하여 끼움홀이 형성된다. 굴곡면(24)의 끝단에는 후크(28)가 형성되는데, 후크(28)의 전면은 끼움홀에 용이하게 삽입될 수 있도록 라운딩되어 전체적으로 화살촉의 형상을 갖는다. 상기 끼움홀에 끼워진 상태에서 굴곡면(24)이 이탈되는 것이 방지되도록 후크(28)의 후면에는 이탈방지턱(26a,10a)에 걸리는 걸림턱(28a)이 형성된다. 따라서, 굴곡면(24)은 항상 끼움홀에 끼워진 상태를 유지할 수 있게 된다.
본 발명은 특정한 실시예에 관련하여 도시하고 설명하였지만, 이하의 특허청구범위에 의해 제공되는 본 발명의 기술적 사상을 벗어나지 않는 한도 내에서, 본 발명이 다양하게 개량 및 변화될 수 있다는 것은 당 업계에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에게 있어서 자명할 것이다.

Claims (6)

  1. 내부에 장착된 커튼에어백쿠션이 전개될 수 있도록 일면이 개방된 쿠션장착부(10);
    탑승자 충돌시 충격을 흡수할 수 있도록 상기 쿠션장착부(10)의 저면에 연장 형성된 충격흡수부(20)를 포함하는 차량의 커튼에어백용 램프브라켓.
  2. 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 쿠션장착부(10)의 타면 내측은 개방된 일면 방향으로 볼록하게 라운딩(R)되어 굴곡 형성되며, 상하면 내측과 타면 내측은 각각 라운딩(R)되어 연결되는 것을 특징으로 하는 차량의 커튼에어백용 램프브라켓.
  3. 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 충격흡수부(20)는 내부에 공간을 형성하여 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 차량의 커튼에어백용 램프브라켓.
  4. 청구항 3에 있어서, 상기 충격흡수부(20)는 상기 쿠션장착부(10)의 타면에서 하방으로 연장 형성된 연장면(22)과, 이 연장면(22)에서 탑승자 방향으로 연장 형성되어 상기 쿠션장착부(10)의 저면에 굴곡 체결되는 굴곡면(24)을 포함하는 차량의 커튼에어백용 램프브라켓.
  5. 청구항 3에 있어서, 상기 쿠션장착부(10)의 저면과 상기 굴곡면(24) 사이에 는 상기 연장면(22)으로부터 탑승자 방향으로 일정 길이 연장된 체결면(26)이 형성되고, 상기 굴곡면(26)의 끝단은 상기 쿠션장착부(10)의 저면과 체결면(26) 사이에 끼워져 결합되되, 탑승자 충돌시 상기 굴곡면(26)의 끝단이 이동할 수 있도록 상기 쿠션장차부(10) 저면과 체결면(26) 사이에는 이동공간(S)이 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 차량의 커튼에어백용 램프브라켓.
  6. 청구항 3에 있어서, 상기 체결면(26) 끝단과 쿠션장착부(10) 저면에는 각각 상하방으로 이탈방지턱(26a,10a)이 돌출되어 끼움홀(H)을 형성하고, 상기 굴곡면(24)의 끝단에는 상기 끼움홀(H)에 삽입이 용이하도록 전면이 라운딩되고 삽입된 후 상기 끼움홀(H)에서 이탈되지 않도록 후면에는 상기 이탈방지턱(26a,10a)에 걸리는 걸림턱(28a)이 형성된 후크(28)가 마련되는 것을 특징으로 하는 차량의 커튼에어백용 램프브라켓.
