- 작동가능하게 연결된 하기의 세그먼트 (a)~(e)로 이루어진 배열을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 DNA 구조체:(a) 옥수수 글로불린 1 프로모터를 포함하는 제1 DNA 세그먼트;(b) 벼 액틴 1 인트론을 포함하는 제2 DNA 세그먼트;(c) 옥수수 DHDPS 클로로플라스트 트랜시트 펩티드 인코딩 DNA 분자를 포함하는 제3 DNA 세그먼트;(d) DNA 분자를 인코딩하는 코리네박테리움 DHDPS를 포함하는 제4 DNA 세그먼트; 및(e) 옥수수 글로불린 1 3' 비번역 영역을 포함하는 제5 DNA 세그먼트.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기의 제3 DNA 세그먼트는 서열번호 8인 것을 특징으로 하는 DNA 구조체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 재조합 부위를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 DNA 구조체.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 재조합 부위는 lox P 부위인 것을 특징으로 하는 DNA 구조체.

- 제11항에 있어서, 하기의 (a)~(c) 단계들을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법:(a) 제1 후대 개체 식물을 자기 교배시키거나 제3 옥수수 식물과 교배시켜 이후 세대의 제2 후대 개체 식물의 종자를 생성시키는 단계;(b) 상기 종자로부터 이후 세대의 제2 후대 개체 식물을 성장시키고, 이후 세대의 제2 후대 개체 식물을 자기 교배시키거나 제4 옥수수식물과 교배시켜 이후 세대의 제3 후대 개체 식물의 종자를 생성시키는 단계; 및(c) 1개 이상의 추가의 세대에 대해 단계 (a) 및 (b)를 반복하여, 계통 LY038을 포함하는 옥수수 식물로부터 유도된 동계교배 옥수수 식물을 생성시키는 단계.
- 제11항에 있어서, 하기의 (a)~(d) 단계들을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법:(a) 임의의 세대의 후대 개체 옥수수 식물로부터 DNA 시료를 수득하는 단계;(b) 서열번호 1~6으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 DNA 분자에 대해 상동성 이거나 상보적인 마커 핵산 분자와 상기 DNA 시료를 접촉시키는 단계;(c) 계통 LY038에 대하여, 마커 핵산 분자의 상보체에 유전적으로 연결된 식물들을 선택하는 마커 보조 육종법을 수행하는 단계; 및(d) 리신 함량이 높은 상기 식물들을 선택하는 단계.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 제2 옥수수 식물은 계통 LY038로서 확인된 외인성 DNA를 포함하지 않고, 상기 제2 옥수수 식물은 계통 LY038로서 확인된 외인성 DNA를 포함하는 상기 옥수수 식물과는 상이한 유전자형을 가지며, 이에 의해 혼성 옥수수 식물을 생성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1 DNA 분자 및 제2 DNA 분자를 포함하는 한쌍의 DNA 프라이머 분자로서,제1 DNA 분자 및 제2 DNA 분자는 각각 서열번호 1의 일부에 약 90% 이상의 서열 상동성을 갖는 12개 이상의 연속 뉴클레오티드를 포함하며, 상기 제1 DNA 분자는 서열번호 1의 옥수수 게놈 부분에 상동성이거나 상보적이고, 상기 제2 DNA 분자는 서열번호 1의 형질전환유전자 삽입부분에 상동성이거나 상보적인 한쌍의 DNA 프라이머 분자.
- 제15항에 있어서, 상기 프라이머들은 서열번호 3 및 서열번호 4인 것을 특징으로 하는 한쌍의 DNA 프라이머 분자.
- 제1 DNA 분자 및 제2 DNA 분자를 포함하는 한쌍의 DNA 프라이머 분자로서,제1 DNA 분자 및 제2 DNA 분자는 각각 서열번호 2의 일부에 약 90% 이상의 서열 상동성을 갖는 12개 이상의 연속 뉴클레오티드를 포함하며, 상기 제1 DNA 분자는 서열번호 2의 옥수수 게놈 부분에 상동성이거나 상보적이고, 상기 제2 DNA 분자는 서열번호 2의 형질전환유전자 삽입부분에 상동성이거나 상보적인 한쌍의 DNA 프라이머 분자.
- 하기 단계들 (a)~(d)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 옥수수 조직 시료내에 외인성 LY038 DNA가 존재하는지를 측정하는 방법:(a) 옥수수 조직 시료로부터 DNA를 수득하는 단계;(b) 상기 DNA를 PCR 프라이머 쌍과 접촉시키는 단계(여기에서, 상기 PCR 프라이머 쌍의 제1 프라이머는 서열번호 1의 염기쌍 1~1781 내의 서열 또는 이의 상보체에 혼성화하고, 상기 PCR 프라이머쌍의 제2 프라이머는 서열번호 1의 염기쌍 1782~1961 내의 서열 또는 이의 상보체에 혼성화함);(c) DNA를 상기 PCR 프라이머 쌍으로 증폭시켜서, 서열번호 1의 염기쌍 1781~1782 또는 이의 상보체를 적어도 포함하는 DNA 증폭산물 분자를 생성하는 단계; 및(d) 상기 DNA 증폭산물 분자를 검출하는 단계.
- 제18항의 방법에 의해 분석한 결과, 서열번호 5를 포함하는 DNA 증폭산물을 생성하는, 안정되게 형질전환된 옥수수 식물.
- 제18항에 있어서, 상기 옥수수 조직 시료는 옥수수 종자 또는 상기 종자로부터 재배된 식물로부터 유도되고, 대표적인 종자는 그것의 게놈 내에 계통 LY038 DNA를 포함하는 ATCC 종자 기탁 PTA-5623 또는 그의 후대 개체인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 하기 단계들 (a)~(d)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 옥수수 조직 시료내에 외인성 LY038 DNA가 존재하는지를 측정하는 방법:(a) 옥수수 조직 시료로부터 DNA를 수득하는 단계;(b) 상기 DNA를 PCR 프라이머 쌍과 접촉시키는 단계(여기에서, 상기 PCR 프라이머 쌍의 제1 프라이머는 서열번호 2의 염기쌍 1~200 내의 서열 또는 이의 상보체에 혼성화하고, 상기 PCR 프라이머쌍의 제2 프라이머는 서열번호 2의 염기쌍 201~867 내의 서열 또는 이의 상보체에 혼성화함);(c) 상기 프라이머 쌍에 의한 상기 DNA의 DNA 증폭 방법을 수행시킴으로써, 서열번호 2의 염기쌍 200~201 또는 이의 상보체를 적어도 포함하는 DNA 증폭산물 분자를 생성하는 단계; 및(d) 상기 DNA 증폭산물 분자를 검출하는 단계.
- 제21항의 방법에 의해 분석한 결과, 서열번호 11를 포함하는 DNA 증폭산물을 생성하는, 안정되게 형질전환된 옥수수 식물.
- 제21항에 있어서, 상기 옥수수 조직 시료는 옥수수 종자 또는 상기 종자로부터 재배된 식물로부터 유도되고, 대표적인 종자는 그것의 게놈 내에 계통 LY038 DNA를 포함하는 ATCC 종자 기탁 PTA-5623 또는 그의 후대 개체인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 1개 이상의 DNA 분자를 포함하는 DNA 검출 킷트로서,상기 DNA 분자는 서열번호 1 또는 서열번호 2에 약 90% 내지 약 100%의 서열 상동성을 갖는 12개 이상의 연속 뉴클레오티드를 포함하며, 시료 DNA내의 옥수수 계통 LY038의 DNA 및 이의 후대 개체를 검출하기 위해 특이적으로 디자인된 방법에서 DNA 프라이머 또는 프로브로서 기능하는 것을 특징으로 하는 DNA 검출 킷트.

- 제25항에 있어서, 상기 게놈은 서열번호 1, 2, 5, 6 및 11로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 서열을 갖는 DNA를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 외인성 LY038 DNA를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 옥수수 가루.
- 제27항에 있어서, 제18항의 방법에 의해 상기 옥수수 가루 DNA를 함유하는 시료 내에서 검출되는 외인성 LY038 DNA 분자를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 옥수수 가루.
- 제27항에 있어서, 제21항의 방법에 의해 상기 옥수수 가루 DNA를 함유하는 시료 내에서 검출되는 외인성 LY038 DNA 분자를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 옥수수 가루.
