Abstract
Description
Claims (18)
- 서브-화소 단위로 발광부를 배열함으로써 형성된 소자층과, 상기 서브-화소 단위로 상기 발광부의 발광 소자를 구동하기 위한 서브-화소 회로를 배열함으로써 형성된 회로층을 기판 상에 적층함으로써 형성된 액티브 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치에 있어서:상기 서브-화소 회로들이 행 방향과 열 방향 양쪽 모두의 직선들 상에 존재하는 스트립 서브-화소 배열; 및상기 발광부들이 상기 서브-화소 회로들의 상기 서브-화소 배열의 행 방향으로 서브-화소 피치의 두 배 및 상기 서브-화소 회로들의 상기 서브-화소 배열의 열 방향으로 서브-화소 피치의 1/2을 가지며, 서로간에 인접한 2개의 행들 간 서브-화소 배열의 위상차는 상기 발광부들의 행 방향으로의 피치의 1/2인 델타 서브-화소 배열을 포함하는, 액티브 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,3개의 상이한 색들의 광을 발광하는 3개의 상기 발광 소자들을 단위로 하여 하나의 화소를 형성하고;상기 발광 소자들은, 동일한 발광색의 서브-화소들이 서로 인접하지 않고 하나의 화소 내의 3개의 상이한 색들의 3개의 서브-화소들의 중심 위치들이 서로 인접하여 삼각형을 형성하는, 델타 관계로 배치되며;상기 열 방향으로 서로 인접한 서브-화소들은, 2개의 서브-화소 행들 내에서, 정 델타 형상 및 역 델타 형상, 또는 상단들과 하단들이 서로에 대해 반전된 삼각형들로 번갈아 배열되는, 액티브 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 발광부들과 상기 서브-화소 회로들을 접속하기 위한 접속부들은, 상기 행 방향으로 서로 인접한 상기 서브-화소 회로들의 2개의 서브-화소들로 하나의 단위를 형성하여, 상기 2개의 서브-화소들 간에 서로 상이한 위치들에 배열되는, 액티브 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 접속부들은 상기 발광부들의 결정된 형상의 발광 영역들 외부에 배열되는, 액티브 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 접속부들은 상기 발광부들의 결정된 형상의 발광 영역들 외부에 배열되는, 액티브 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 서브-화소 회로들의 회로 소자들의 레이아웃들은 상기 2개의 서브-화소들 간에 동일한, 액티브 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 서브-화소 회로들의 상기 2개의 서브-화소들의 회로 소자들의 레이아웃들은 상기 서브-화소 회로들의 열들 사이의 경계선에 대해 대칭인, 액티브 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 서브-화소 회로들의 상기 2개의 서브-화소들의 회로 소자들의 레이아웃들은 상기 서브-화소 회로들의 열들 사이의 경계선에 대해 대칭인, 액티브 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 7 항에 있어서,상기 서브-화소 회로들은 상기 열 방향을 따라 상기 2개의 서브-화소들의 경계에 루트가 정해진 전원선을 갖고, 상기 전원선은 상기 2개의 서브-화소들 간에 공유되는, 액티브 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 서브-화소 회로들은 서로 인접한 2개의 행들로 단위를 형성하며, 상기 2개의 행들의 서브-화소들에서 회로 소자들의 레이아웃들은 상기 행들 간의 경계선에 대해 대칭인, 액티브 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 서브-화소 회로들은 서로 인접한 2개의 행들로 단위를 형성하며, 상기 2개의 행들의 서브-화소들에서 회로 소자들의 레이아웃들은 상기 행들간의 경계선에 대해 대칭인, 액티브 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,상기 서브-화소 회로들은 상기 행 방향을 따라 상기 2개의 행들의 서브-화소들의 경계에 루트가 정해진 주사선을 갖고, 상기 주사선은 상기 두 행들의 서브-화소들 간에 공유되는, 액티브 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 서브-화소 회로는, 배선 방향을 따라, 배선 패턴에 존재하는 회로 소자의 접속부 근처에 형성된 슬릿을 갖는, 액티브 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 발광 소자는 제 1 전극, 제 2 전극, 및 상기 전극들 사이에 발광층을 포함하는 유기층을 갖는 유기 전계 발광 소자인, 액티브 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 서브-화소 회로는 박막 트랜지스터 회로인, 액티브 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치.
- 서브-화소 단위들로 발광부들의 발광 소자들을 구동하기 위한 서브-화소 회로들을 매트릭스 방식으로 배열함으로써 형성된 액티브 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치에 있어서,상기 서브-화소 회로들은, 배선 방향을 따라, 배선 패턴에 존재하는 회로 소자의 접속부 근처에 형성된 슬릿을 갖는, 액티브 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 16 항에 있어서,상기 발광 소자는 제 1 전극, 제 2 전극, 및 상기 전극들 사이에 발광층을 포함하는 유기층을 갖는 유기 전계 발광 소자인, 액티브 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치.
- 제 16 항에 있어서,상기 서브-화소 회로는 박막 트랜지스터 회로인, 액티브 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치.
