Claims (7)
- 액티브 매트릭스형 표시 장치에 있어서:기판과;상기 기판 위에 놓인 소자층으로서, 매트릭스 형태로 배열된 화소 단위들을 규정하는 발광 소자들(luminescent devices)을 포함하고, 각 화소는 직사각 형상의 발광 영역을 갖고, 상기 발광 소자는 하부 전극과, 상기 하부 전극 위에 형성되어 상기 발광 영역에 대응한 개구부를 갖는 절연층과, 상기 개구부에 형성된 유기층과, 상기 유기층 위에 형성된 상부 전극, 상기 절연층 위에 형성되어 상기 상부 전극과 접속하는 보조 전극을 갖는, 상기 소자층과;상기 기판 위에 놓이고, 각 발광 소자들을 구동하는 화소 회로들을 포함하는 상기 회로층으로서, 상기 화소 회로들은 상기 화소 단위들을 규정하는, 상기 회로층과;대응하는 발광 소자와 대응하는 화소 회로를 전기적으로 접속하는 접촉부들(contacts)로서, 상기 접촉부들은 상기 절연층의 아래에 형성되고, 또한 상기 각 화소의 이웃하는 발광 영역 사이에 형성되는, 상기 접촉부들을 포함하는, 액티브 매트릭스형 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 접촉부들은 매트릭스내의 각 행 또는 각 열마다 1차원적으로 배열되는, 액티브 매트릭스형 표시 장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 매트릭스내의 두 개의 인접하는 행들 또는 열들에 속하는 화소 단위들에 대한 상기 접촉부들이 상기 두 개의 인접하는 행들 또는 열들 사이에 1차원적으로 배열되는, 액티브 매트릭스형 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 발광 소자들은 유기 전자발광 소자들(organic electroluminescence devices)이며, 각 유기 전자발광 소자는 제 1 전극, 제 2 전극, 및 상기 제 1 전극과 상기 제 2 전극 사이에 놓인 유기층을 포함하며, 상기 유기층은 발광층을 포함하는, 액티브 매트릭스형 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 화소 회로들은 각각 박막 트랜지스터(thin-film transistor)를 포함하는, 액티브 매트릭스형 표시 장치.
- 액티브 매트릭스형 표시 장치에 있어서:기판과;상기 기판 위에 놓이고, 화소 단위들을 규정하는 발광 소자들을 포함하는 소자층으로서, 각 화소는 직사각 형상의 발광 영역을 갖고, 상기 발광 소자는 하부 전극과, 상기 하부 전극 위에 형성되어 상기 발광 영역에 대응한 개구부를 갖는 절연층과, 상기 개구부에 형성된 유기층과, 상기 유기층 위에 형성된 상부 전극, 상기 절연층 위에 형성되어 상기 상부 전극과 접속하는 보조 전극을 갖는, 상기 소자층과;상기 기판 위에 놓이고, 각 발광 소자들을 구동하는 화소 회로들을 포함하는 상기 회로층으로서, 상기 화소 회로들은 상기 화소 단위들을 규정하는, 상기 회로층을 포함하고,각 하부 전극은 대응하는 발광 소자와 대응하는 화소 회로를 전기적으로 접속하는 접촉부를 갖고, 상기 상부 전극은 상기 접촉부 위에 놓이지 않으며, 상기 접촉부들은 상기 절연층의 아래에 형성되고, 또한 상기 각 화소의 이웃하는 발광 영역 사이에 형성되는, 액티브 매트릭스형 표시 장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 화소 회로들은 각각 박막 트랜지스터를 포함하는, 액티브 매트릭스형 표시 장치.
