ポリイミド前駆体(A1)は、例えば、上記の[化6]で表される繰り返し単位の少なくとも1種を含むものである。
1)ポリアミド酸(R1,R2が水素)、
2)ポリアミド酸エステル(R1,R2の少なくとも一部がアルキル基)、
3) 4)ポリアミド酸シリルエステル(R1,R2の少なくとも一部がアルキルシリル基)、
に分類することができる。そして、ポリイミド前駆体(A1)は、この分類ごとに、以下の製造方法により容易に製造することができる。ただし、ポリイミド前駆体(A1)の製造方法は、以下の製造方法に限定されるものではない。
ポリイミド前駆体(A1)は、溶媒中でテトラカルボン酸成分としてのテトラカルボン酸二無水物とジアミン成分とを略等モル、好ましくはテトラカルボン酸成分に対するジアミン成分のモル比[ジアミン成分のモル数/テトラカルボン酸成分のモル数]が好ましくは0.90〜1.10、より好ましくは0.95〜1.05の割合で、例えば1200℃以下の比較的低温度でイミド化を抑制しながら反応することによって、ポリイミド前駆体溶液組成物として好適に得ることができる。
テトラカルボン酸二無水物を任意のアルコールと反応させ、ジエステルジカルボン酸を得た後、塩素化試薬(チオニルクロライド、オキサリルクロライドなど)と反応させ、ジエステルジカルボン酸クロライドを得る。このジエステルジカルボン酸クロライドとジアミンを−20〜120℃、好ましくは−5〜80℃の範囲で1〜72時間撹拌することで、ポリイミド前駆体が得られる。800℃以上で反応させる場合、分子量が重合時の温度履歴に依存して変動し、また熱によりイミド化が進行することから、ポリイミド前駆体を安定して製造できなくなる可能性がある。また、ジエステルジカルボン酸とジアミンを、リン系縮合剤や、カルボジイミド縮合剤などを用いて脱水縮合することでも、簡便にポリイミド前駆体が得られる。
あらかじめ、ジアミンとシリル化剤を反応させ、シリル化されたジアミンを得る。必要に応じて、蒸留等により、シリル化されたジアミンの精製を行う。そして、脱水された溶剤中にシリル化されたジアミンを溶解させておき、撹拌しながら、テトラカルボン酸二無水物を徐々に添加し、0〜120℃、好ましくは5〜80℃の範囲で1〜72時間撹拌することで、ポリイミド前駆体が得られる。800℃以上で反応させる場合、分子量が重合時の温度履歴に依存して変動し、また熱によりイミド化が進行することから、ポリイミド前駆体を安定して製造できなくなる可能性がある。
上記の1)の方法で得られたポリアミド酸溶液とシリル化剤を混合し、0〜120℃、好ましくは5〜80℃の範囲で1〜72時間撹拌することで、ポリイミド前駆体が得られる。800℃以上で反応させる場合、分子量が重合時の温度履歴に依存して変動し、また熱によりイミド化が進行することから、ポリイミド前駆体を安定して製造できなくなる可能性がある。
ポリイミド(A2)は、特に限定されるわけではないが、ポリイミド前駆体(A1)から得られ、例えば、前記[化7]で表される繰り返し単位の少なくとも1種を含むものである。
(1)炭酸ストロンチウム微粒子の製造
(a)反応工程
得られた炭酸ストロンチウム粒子水性懸濁液を周速2.5m/secで攪拌しながら95℃の温度にて12時間加温処理して炭酸ストロンチウム粒子を針状に成長させた。その後、室温まで放冷して、炭酸ストロンチウム微粒子の水性スラリーを製造した。
(a)表面処理工程
上記で作製した炭酸ストロンチウム微粒子の水性スラリー(固形濃度:6質量%)に、界面活性剤としてポリオキシエチレンスチレン化フェニルエーテルリン酸エステルを添加して溶解させ、スターラーで5分間撹拌した。ついでクレアミックスにてせん断力をかけて、分散処理を行った。これにより、高分散性炭酸ストロンチウム粒子の水スラリーを得た。
撹拌混合後の水性スラリーを110〜120℃に加熱した回転式ドラムドライヤーに吹き付け、高分散性炭酸ストロンチウム微粉末を得た。得られた高分散性炭酸ストロンチウム微粉末を電子顕微鏡で観察した結果、針状粒子の微粉末であることが確認された。また、電子顕微観察結果の画像解析を行ったところ、炭酸ストロンチウム粒子の平均長径は35nmであった。
上記で得られた炭酸ストロンチウム微粒子のc軸方向の結晶子径を測定した。株式会社リガク製 RINT−TTRIII型 広角X線回折装置を用いて、下記条件にてX線回折パターンを測定し、(002)方向のX線回折パターンである回折角2θが29.6°のピークの半値幅を使い、Scherrerの式にてc軸方向の結晶子径を算出した。結晶子径の測定結果は以下の表1に示されている。

回折線湾曲結晶モノクロメーター
N−メチル−2−ピロリドン(以下、「NMP」)25gに対し、可溶性ポリイミド(以下、「PI」)6gを添加し、6時間攪拌し、PI−NMP溶液を作製した。次に、NMP10gに対し、前述した炭酸ストロンチウム微粉末を1.2g添加し、超音波バスに30秒入れ、そのまま孔径1μmのメンブレンフィルターで加圧せずにろ過し、分散液1を作成した。PC−塩化メチレン分散液と分散液1を混合し、超音波ホモジナイザーで分散処理を行い、SrCO3添加ドープ液A−1を得た。
SrCO3添加ドープ液A−1を、ベーカー式アプリケーターを用い、ガラス板上にウェット膜厚11milで塗布した。これをイナートオーブンにて窒素雰囲気化で30℃から3℃/minで昇温して350℃で10分間保持して乾燥した。PETフィルムからPIフィルムを剥離し、PIフィルムA−1を得た。
分光光度計(日本分光社製)を用いて、PIフィルムA−1の可視光透過率及びヘイズ測定を行った。
PIフィルムA−1の膜厚をマイクロメーターで測定した。その後、PIフィルムの面外位相差発現性(ΔP)を位相測定装置(王子計測機器株式会社製、KOBRA−WR)を用いて測定した。
炭酸ストロンチウム微粒子製造の熟成工程において熟成時の温度を80℃にしたこと以外は実施例1と同様な方法にてPIフィルムA−2を作製し、位相差発現性を評価した。評価結果は表1に示す。
炭酸ストロンチウム微粒子製造の熟成工程において熟成時の加温処理を24時間にしたこと以外は実施例1と同様な方法にてPIフィルムA−3を作製し、位相差発現性を評価した。評価結果は表1に示す。
炭酸ストロンチウム微粒子製造の熟成工程において熟成時に攪拌せずに静置したこと以外は実施例1と同様の方法にてPIフィルムB−1を作製し、位相差発現性を評価した。評価結果は以下の表1に示す。
炭酸ストロンチウム微粒子製造において、熟成工程を省略したこと以外は実施例1と同様の方法にてPIフィルムC−1を作製し、位相差発現性を評価した。評価結果は以下の表1に示す。
ポリイミドフィルム製膜時に炭酸ストロンチウムを添加しないこと以外は実施例1と同様の方法にてPIフィルムD−1を作製し、位相差発現性を評価した。評価結果は以下の表1に示す。
表面処理工程において、界面活性剤としてステアリン酸を用いたこと以外は実施例1と同様の方法にてPIフィルムE−1を作製し、分光光度計(日本分光社製)を用いて、PIフィルムE−1の可視光透過率及びヘイズ測定を行った。評価結果は以下の表1に示す。
炭酸ストロンチウム微粒子製造の反応工程においてDL−酒石酸を加えなかったこと、反応温度を40℃にしたこと、及び熟成工程を省略したこと以外は実施例1と同様な方法にてPIフィルムF−1を作製し、位相差発現性を評価した。評価結果は表1に示す。
比較例1では、炭酸ストロンチウムの結晶子径が12nmと小さいため、炭酸ストロンチウムの固有の位相差発現性が小さくなり、実施例2と比較してRthの値が2.3倍以上となっている。
Claims (15)
- 10〜100nmの範囲内の平均長径と、c軸方向において15nm以上の結晶子径と、を有する、炭酸ストロンチウム粒子。
- 前記平均長径が20〜70nmの範囲内であり、かつ前記c軸方向における結晶子径が20nm以上である、請求項1に記載の炭酸ストロンチウム粒子。
- 前記結晶子径に対する前記平均長径の比率が2.5以下である、請求項1又は2に記載の炭酸ストロンチウム粒子。
- 表面に付着した界面活性剤を有する、請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の炭酸ストロンチウム粒子。
- 前記界面活性剤は、フェニル基を有する、請求項4に記載の炭酸ストロンチウム粒子。
- 前記界面活性剤は、ポリオキシエチレンスチレン化フェニルエーテルリン酸エステルである、請求項5に記載の炭酸ストロンチウム粒子。
- 請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の炭酸ストロンチウム粒子と、
前記炭酸ストロンチウム粒子を含む樹脂と、を含む樹脂組成物。 - 前記樹脂組成物全体に対する前記炭酸ストロンチウム粒子の含有量が、0.1〜50質量%の範囲内である、請求項7に記載の樹脂組成物。
- 前記含有量が、1〜35質量%の範囲内である、請求項8に記載の樹脂組成物。
- 前記樹脂が、ポリカーボネート、ポリメチルメタクリレート、セルロースエステル、ポリスチレン、スチレンアクリロニトリル共重合体、ポリフマル酸ジエステル、ポリアリレート、ポリエーテルスルフォン、ポリオレフィン、マレイミド系共重合体、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリエチレンナフタレート、ポリイミド、ポリアミド及びポリウレタンからなる群より選択される1種類以上である、請求項7から9のいずれか1項に記載の樹脂組成物。
- 前記樹脂がポリイミドである、請求項7から10のいずれか1項に記載の樹脂組成物。
- 請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の炭酸ストロンチウム粒子と、ポリイミド前駆体と、を含む樹脂組成物。
- 請求項11又は12に記載の樹脂組成物から得られる炭酸ストロンチウム含有ポリイミドフィルム。
- 請求項7から12のいずれか1項に記載の樹脂組成物、又は請求項13に記載の炭酸ストロンチウム含有ポリイミドフィルムを含む、光学フィルム。
- 請求項14に記載の光学フィルムを備える、画像表示装置。
