Abstract
Description
すなわち、本発明は、
アクリル酸エステル系ゴム状重合体(A−a)を含むアクリル系グラフト共重合体(A)、およびメタクリル酸エステルを80重量%以上含有するメタクリル系重合体(B)とからなるメタクリル系樹脂組成物(C)であって、
(1)アクリル酸エステル系ゴム状重合体(A−a)の含有量が5〜45重量%以下、
(2)アクリル酸エステル系ゴム状重合体(A−a)の平均粒子径dが50〜200nm、
(3)アクリル酸エステル系ゴム状重合体(A−a)の平均粒子径d(nm)とアクリル酸エステル系ゴム状重合体(A−a)に用いられる架橋剤の量w(重量%)との関係が次式を満たし、
0.02d≦w≦0.05d
(4)アクリル系グラフト共重合体(A)のグラフト率が30〜250%、
(5)メタクリル系樹脂組成物(C)のメチルエチルケトン可溶分の還元粘度が0.2〜0.8dl/gであって、かつ、
(6)アクリル系グラフト共重合体(A)に、アクリル系グラフト共重合体(A)100重量部に対して0.01〜30重量部の、一般式(1)で示す紫外線吸収剤が共重合してなること、
を特徴とするメタクリル系樹脂組成物を提供する。
また、本発明は、上記本発明のメタクリル系樹脂組成物を成形してなるフィルム、上記フィルムを含む積層品、ならびに、特に射出成形により製造される上記積層品を提供する。
また、本発明によれば、紫外線吸収性を示す単量体を共重合することによって紫外線吸収剤の添加に伴う問題点を解決しつつ、フィルムの必要特性である透明性、耐候性、硬度および耐衝撃性に優れ、さらに耐折曲げ割れ(白化)性および成形性にも優れるフィルムを得ることができる。
さらに、本発明によれば、上記本発明のメタクリル系樹脂組成物および上記本発明のフィルムを用いることにより、透明性、耐候性、硬度および耐衝撃性に優れ、さらに耐折曲げ割れ(白化)性および成形性にも優れるフィルム積層体を得ることができる。
本発明のメタクリル系樹脂組成物(C)は、アクリル酸エステル系ゴム状重合体を含むアクリル系グラフト共重合体(A)、およびメタクリル酸メチルを80重量%以上含有するメタクリル系重合体(B)を含むものである。
ここで、(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単量体(A−b)は、(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単量体と、アクリル系グラフト共重合体(A)のグラフト部分(アクリル系グラフト共重合体(A)のなかで、アクリル酸エステル系ゴム状重合体(A−a)を除く部分)の両方を意味するものである。なお、「(メタ)アクリル酸」とは、メタクリル酸および/またはアクリル酸のことを意味する。
また、メタクリル系重合体(B)とは、アクリル酸エステル系ゴム状重合体(A−a)の存在下において、(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単量体(A−b)を重合した際にグラフとされない重合体を指し、アクリル酸エステル系ゴム状重合体(A−a)の不在下において重合した際に得られる重合体を含んでもよい。
メタクリル系樹脂組成物(C)は、アクリル系グラフト共重合体(A)およびメタクリル系重合体(B)を含むものである。
0.02d≦w≦0.05d
アクリル系グラフト共重合体(A)の一部((A−a)およびグラフトされた(A−b))は、メチルエチルケトンに不溶となる。
メタクリル系重合体(B)に使用するメタクリル酸エステルとしては、メタクリル系重合体(B)に占める重量比でメタクリル酸メチルを80重量%以上使用することが好ましく、メタクリル酸メチルのみを使用することが更に好ましい。
得られたメタクリル系樹脂組成物(C)ラテックスを、熱風乾燥機内にて120℃で1時間乾燥して固形成分量を求め、次式により重合転化率を算出した。
重合転化率(%)=(固形成分量/仕込み単量体)×100
得られたアクリル系グラフト共重合体(A)1gをメチルエチルケトン40mlに溶解させ、遠心分離機(日立工機(株)製、CP60E)を用い、回転数3000rpmにて1時間遠心分離を行い、不溶分と可溶分とを分離した。得られた不溶分を、アクリル酸エステル系ゴム状重合体(A−a)およびグラフト分(A−b)として、次式によりグラフト率を算出した。
グラフト率(%)={(メチルエチルケトン不溶分の重量−アクリル酸エステル系架橋弾性体粒子(A−a)の重量)/アクリル酸エステル系架橋弾性体粒子(A−a)の重量}×100
{(アクリル酸エステル系架橋弾性体粒子(A−a)の重量部)×(100+グラフト率(%))}/100
さらに、メタクリル系重合体(B)の重量%は、次式により算出した。
100−(アクリル系グラフト共重合体(A)の重量%)
グラフト率測定の操作にて得られたメチルエチルケトン可溶分150mgをN,N−ジメチルホルムアミド50mlに溶解させた溶液に対して、JIS K6721に従い、還元粘度を測定した。
得られたアクリル酸エステル系ゴム状重合体(A−a)ラテックスおよびアクリル系グラフト共重合体(A)ラテックスを、固形分濃度0.02%に希釈したものを試料として、分光光度計(HITACHI製、Spectrophotometer U−2000)を用いて546nmの波長での光線透過率より、平均粒子径を求めた。
得られたフィルムの透明性は、JIS K6714に準じて、温度23℃±2℃、湿度50%±5%にてヘイズを算出することにより測定した。
得られたフィルムの鉛筆硬度を、JIS S−1005に準じて測定した。
得られたフィルムを1回180度折り曲げて、折り曲げ部の変化を目視し、以下のように評価した。
1:割れが認められない。
2:割れが認められる。
得られたフィルムを1回180度折り曲げて、折り曲げ部の変化を目視し、以下のように評価した。
1:折曲げ部に白化が認められない。
2:折曲げ部に白化が薄く認められる。
3:折曲げ部に濃い白化が認められる。
フィルム成形を3時間連続して行い、その運転状況を観察し、以下の基準により評価をした。
1:フィルムの厚みが均一で、切れずに成形できる。
2:フィルムの厚みが不均一またはフィルム切れが発生する。
フィルム成形を3時間連続して行い、冷却ロールへの付着状況を観察し、以下の基準により評価をした。
1:冷却ロールへの付着が認められない。
2:冷却ロールへの付着が認められる。
温度23℃において、得られたフィルムにコパトーン(エスエスエル ヘルスケア ジャパン(株))を薄く塗布し、23℃で1時間静置した後、50℃で1時間静置し、濡れガーゼにて上記コパトーンを擦り取り、上記フィルムの表面を目視により観察し、以下の基準により評価した。
1:跡無く擦り取れる。
2:跡がわずかに認められる。
3:跡がはっきりと認められる。
TGA(RIGAKU製のTAS100)にて分析を行い、100℃を起点として、200℃、250℃、300℃における重量減少率を評価した。分析は、窒素フロー50ml/min、昇温速度10℃/minの条件にて行った。
OSA:ジオクチルスルフォコハク酸ナトリウム
BA:アクリル酸ブチル
MMA:メタクリル酸メチル
CHP:クメンハイドロパーオキサイド
tDM:ターシャリドデシルメルカプタン
AlMA:メタクリル酸アリル
RUVA:2−(2’−ヒドロキシ−5’−メタクリロイルオキシエチルフェニル)−2−H−ベンゾトリアゾール(大塚化学(株)製、RUVA−93)
攪拌機付き8L重合装置に、以下の物質を仕込んだ。
脱イオン水 200部
ジオクチルスルフォコハク酸ナトリウム 0.25部
ソディウムホルムアルデヒドスルフォキシレ−ト 0.15部
エチレンジアミン四酢酸−2−ナトリウム 0.001部
硫酸第一鉄 0.00025部
単量体の組成を表1のように変更した以外は、製造例1と同様に重合を行い、凝固、水洗、乾燥して樹脂粉末(2)〜(12)を得、さらに溶融混練を行い、ペレット化した。
但し、製造例7では重合中にラテックスが凝集した為、樹脂粉体が得られず、ペレット化およびフィルム化ができず、フィルム物性を評価できなかった。また、製造例6は、得られた樹脂粉末に紫外線吸収剤として構造式(2)で示されるチヌビンP(チバスペシャルケミカル社製)を2部ブレンドしてから溶融混練を行い、ペレット化した。
単量体組成をMMA95%およびBA5%に変更した以外は、製造例1と同様の操作(乳化重合)により、メタクリル系重合体(B)を製造した。得られたメタクリル系重合体(B)の還元粘度は0.36dl/gであった。
メタクリル系重合体(B)として、懸濁重合で製造されたMMA−EA共重合体(住友化学(株)製スミペックスEX:MMA約95%およびEA約5%からなる共重合体、還元粘度0.30dl/g)を用意した。
表2に示す組合せの製造例で得られたペレットを、Tダイ付き40ミリφ押出機(ナカムラ産機(株)製、NEX040397)を用いて、シリンダ設定温度160℃〜235℃およびダイス温度240℃で押出成形し、厚み100μmのフィルムを得た。得られたフィルムを用いて上述した種々の特性を評価し、その結果を表2に示した。
単量体の組成を表3のように変更した以外は、製造例1と同様に重合を行い、凝固、水洗、乾燥して樹脂粉末(15)〜(30)を得、さらに溶融混練を行い、ペレット化した。
但し、製造例23では重合中にラテックスが凝集した為、樹脂粉体が得られず、ペレット化およびフィルム化ができず、フィルム物性を評価できなかった。また、製造例22および28〜30は、得られた樹脂粉末に紫外線吸収剤として上記構造式(2)で示されるチヌビンP(チバスペシャルケミカル社製)を2部ブレンドしてから溶融混練を行い、ペレット化した。
単量体組成をMMA100%に変更した以外は、製造例1と同様の操作(乳化重合)により、メタクリル系重合体(B)を製造した。得られたメタクリル系重合体(B)の還元粘度は0.35dl/gであった。
表4に示す組合せの製造例で得られたペレットを、Tダイ付き40ミリφ押出機(ナカムラ産機(株)製、NEX040397)を用いて、シリンダ設定温度160℃〜235℃およびダイス温度240℃で押出成形し、厚み100μmのフィルムを得た。得られたフィルムを用いて上述した種々の特性を評価し、その結果を表4に示した。
Claims (6)
- アクリル酸エステル系ゴム状重合体(A−a)を含むアクリル系グラフト共重合体(A)、およびメタクリル酸エステルを80重量%以上含有するメタクリル系重合体(B)とからなるメタクリル系樹脂組成物(C)であって、
(1)前記アクリル酸エステル系ゴム状重合体(A−a)の含有量が5〜45重量%以下、
(2)前記アクリル酸エステル系ゴム状重合体(A−a)の平均粒子径dが50〜200nm、
(3)前記アクリル酸エステル系ゴム状重合体(A−a)の平均粒子径d(nm)と前記アクリル酸エステル系ゴム状重合体(A−a)に用いられる架橋剤の量w(重量%)との関係が次式を満たし、
0.02d≦w≦0.05d
(4)前記アクリル系グラフト共重合体(A)のグラフト率が30〜250%、
(5)前記メタクリル系樹脂組成物(C)のメチルエチルケトン可溶分の還元粘度が0.2〜0.8dl/gであって、かつ、
(6)前記アクリル系グラフト共重合体(A)に、前記アクリル系グラフト共重合体(A)100重量部に対して0.01〜30重量部の、一般式(1)で示す紫外線吸収剤が共重合してなること、
を特徴とするメタクリル系樹脂組成物。
- 前記メタクリル系重合体(B)が、メタクリル酸エステルとアクリル酸エステルを重量比で90/10〜100/0の範囲で含有し、前記一般式(1)で示される紫外線吸収剤を前記メタクリル酸エステル100重量部に対して0.01〜30重量部の範囲で含有する単量体混合物を共重合することにより得られるメタクリル系重合体である請求項1に記載のメタクリル系樹脂組成物。
- 前記アクリル系グラフト共重合体(A)の平均粒子径が、前記アクリル酸エステル系ゴム状重合体(A−a)の平均粒子径dよりも大きく、かつ100nm超400nm以下である請求項1に記載のメタクリル系樹脂組成物。
- 請求項1に記載のメタクリル系樹脂組成物を成形してなるフィルム。
- 請求項4に記載のフィルムを含む積層品。
- 射出成形により製造される請求項5に記載の積層品。
