Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.移植可能な管状人工器官であって、はっきりと画定した組織に接触する外管 、及び同心円的に隣接した内管であってその内部表面が血液に接触する表面であ る内管を含む発泡ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(ePTFE)複合管状構造体を 含み、外管及び内管のそれぞれが、該発泡構造体の伸長した原繊維と節とによっ て画定される所定の多孔度を有し、内管の所定の多孔度が外管の所定の多孔度と は異なっており、かつ内管と外管との間の多孔度の明確な違いが両管の界面のい ずれかの側に示されている、上記移植可能な管状人工器官。 2.外管の半径方向の強さが内部部分の半径方向の強さよりも強い請求項1記載 の移植可能な管状人工器官。 3.内管の所定の多孔度が、外管の所定の多孔度よりも大きい請求項1記載の移 植可能な管状人工器官。 4.移植可能なポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)管状人工血管であって 、所定の半径方向強度を有する第1のPTFE管状構造体及び第1の管状構造体 の外側周囲に円周状に置かれた第2のPTFE管状構造体を含み、第1のPTF E管状構造体がそれに沿った細胞の内皮化を促進するに充分な多孔度を示し、か つ第2の管状構造体が第1の管状構造体の半径方向強度を超える半径方向強度を 示す、上記人工血管。 5.第2のPTFE管状構造体が第1のPTFE管状構造体の上に接着して保持 されている請求項4記載の人工血管。 6.さらに、第1のPTFE管状構造体又は第2のPTFE管状構造体上に形成 された追加の構造体を含む請求項4記載の人工血管。 7.追加の構造体が第1のPTFE管状構造体と第2のPTFE管状構造体の間 に設置されている請求項6記載の人工血管。 8.追加の構造体が、第1のPTFE管状構造体の多孔度よりも少ない多孔度を 示す請求項7記載の人工血管。 9.第1のPTFE管状構造体が、発泡したPTFEにより形成されている請求 項4記載の人工血管。 10.第2のPTFE管状構造体が、発泡したPTFEにより形成されている請求 項4記載の人工血管。 11.第1及び第2のPTFE管状構造体が、発泡したPTFEにより形成されて いる請求項4記載の人工血管。 12.第1のPTFE管状構造体が、第2のPTFE管状構造体よりも大きい多孔 度を示す請求項11記載の人工血管。 13.追加の構造体が、第1のPTFE管状構造体の半径方向強度よりも強い半径 方向強度を示す請求項12記載の人工血管。 14.追加の構造体が、第2のPTFE管状構造体の半径方向強度よりも弱い半径 方向強度を示す請求項13記載の人工血管。 15.追加の構造体が、ポリマー組成物から形成されている請求項7記載の人工血 管。 16.ポリマー組成物がPTFEである請求項15記載の人工血管。 17.(a)所定の強度と細胞の内皮化を促進するに充分な多孔度を有する第1のP TFE管状構造体を準備し、(b)第1のPTFE管状構造体の半径方向強度より も強い半径方向強度を有する第2のPTFE管状構造体を準備し、そして(c)第 1のPTFE管状構造体上に第2のPTFE管状構造体を設置して複合構造体を 規定することを含む、管状人工血管の製造方法。 18.さらに、第1のPTFE管状構造体を発泡させて第1のePTFE構造体を 形成する請求項17記載の製造方法。 19.さらに、第2のPTFE管状構造体を発泡させて第2のePTFE構造体を 形成する請求項18記載の製造方法。 20.第1のPTFE管状構造体を発泡させる工程が、第1のPTFE管状構造体 を約400%〜2000%の伸び率で発泡させることを含む請求項19記載の製 造方法。 21.第2のPTFE管状構造体を発泡させる工程が、第2のPTFE管状構造体 を200%〜500%の伸び率で発泡させることを含む請求項17記載の製造方 法。 22.さらに、追加の構造体を準備する工程、及び第1のPTFE管状構造体又は 第2のPTFE管状構造体上に、若しくは第1のPTFE管状構造体と第2のP TFE管状構造体の両方の上に設置する工程を含む請求項21記載の製造方法。 23.上記設置工程が、該追加のPTFE管状構造体を第1のPTFE管状構造体 上に置くことを含む請求項22記載の製造方法。 24.追加の構造体がPTFEで形成されている請求項23記載の製造方法。 25.工程(a)が、さらに、マンドレル上に第1のPTFE管状構造体を形成する ことを含む請求項17記載の製造方法。 26.工程(c)が、第1のPTFE管状構造体とマンドレル上に、第2のPTFE 管状構造体を形成することを含む請求項25記載の製造方法。
