- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.熱可塑性ポリマー組成物の内部コア領域およびそれ取り囲む熱硬化された炭 素質材料の外部被覆領域を含む二領域繊維であって、該繊維が燃焼しにくく、L OI値が40より大きい繊維。 2.繊維全体の半径(R)に対する内部コア領域の半径(r)の比(r:R)が 1:4〜1:1.105である、請求項1に記載の繊維。 3.炭化された外部被覆領域の炭素含量が 68 重量%より多く、密度が 1.45 〜 1.87 g/cm3であり、バルク抵抗が 108ないし10-2未満Ωcmである、請求項1に 記載の繊維。 4.該繊維が可撓性であり、曲げひずみ値が 0.01 % より大きく 50 % 未満であ り、ヤング率が 0.3 MM psi(2.0 GPa)より大きく、50 MM psi(345 GPa)まで である、請求項1に記載の繊維。 5.破断ねじれ角度が 4〜13度である、請求項1に記載の繊維。 6.繊維がちじれており、破断時の伸びが 2〜12 %であり、可逆的変形比が 1:1 より大きい、請求項1に記載の繊 維。 7.表面積が 1〜150 m2/gであり、実質的に孔食および孔のない連続した繊維表 面を有し、該表面の微小孔が繊維全体の表面積の 5 %未満である、請求項3に記 載の繊維。 8.全体的に円形、非円形、または筒状の横断面を有し、その直径が 1〜30μで ある、請求項1に記載の繊維。 9.ポリマー前駆体組成物が均一なアクリル組成物を含み、該繊維の内部コア領 域および外部被覆領域が連続であり、繊維の間に境界または不連続が介在してい ない、請求項1に記載の繊維。 10.該繊維の内部コア領域が第一のポリマー組成物より成り、外部被覆領域が 第二のポリマー組成物に由来する、請求項1に記載の繊維。 11.RxSi(OR’)4-xおよびRxSi(OOR’)4-x(Rは有機残基であ り、R’は低級アルキルまたはフェニル残基であり、xは少なくとも1で4未満 である。)から成る群から選択される化合物の加水分解された部分縮合生成物か ら誘導される有機シリコーンポリマーのコーティングを有する、請求項1に記載 の繊維。 12.高分子量ワックス、ハロ脂肪族樹脂、熱硬化性および熱可塑性樹脂、アイ オノマー、シリコーン物質およびポリシロキサンから選択される硬化性組成物を 含む水不溶性疎水性組成物のコーティングを有する、請求項1に記載の繊維。 13.少なくとも1種類の熱により軟化される熱可塑性均一ポリマー組成物を押 出ダイにより押出しながら押出されたポリマー物質を延伸して繊維にする工程、 延伸した繊維を酸化雰囲気中、繊維の外部領域を酸化安定化するのに十分な時間 安定化して、熱可塑性ポリマーコアの内部領域およびそれを取り囲む酸化安定化 された熱可塑性被覆の外部領域を有する安定化二領域前駆体繊維を形成する工程 、ならびに二領域前駆体繊維を非酸化雰囲気中、高められ温度で、繊維の安定化 した外部被覆領域を炭化するのに十分な時間加熱して、熱可塑性ポリマーコアの 内部領域および炭化された熱硬化された被覆の外部領域を形成する工程を含む、 燃焼しにくい可撓性二領域繊維の製造法。 14.アクリルポリマー組成物を含む単一の均一なポリマー組成物を該押出ダイ によって押出す工程を含み、繊維の外部領域を酸化安定化するのに十分な時間が 5分間より大きくかつ180 分間より小さく、外部被覆を炭化するのに十分な時間 が5秒間より大きくかつ300 秒間より小さい。請求項13に記載の製造法。 15.請求項1に記載の多数の二領域繊維を、繊維トウ、不織ウェブ、バット、 シートまたは板、紡糸ヤーン、織物またはニットの形状で含む繊維集合体。 16.請求項1に記載の多数の二領域繊維を他の天然またはポリマー繊維と混合 して含み、該二領域繊維が該混合物に 10 〜 90 % の量で存在する、繊維集合体 。 17.請求項1に記載の多数の二領域繊維を、熱可塑性または熱硬化性ポリマー と混合して含む燃焼しにくい、または火災防塞複合体であって、該二領域繊維が 該複合体に、複合体の全質量に対して 10 〜 90 重量%の量で存在する、複合体 。 18.熱可塑性ポリマーコアの内部領域およびそれを取り囲む酸化安定化された 熱可塑性ポリマー被覆の外部領域を含む二領域前駆体繊維であって、該前駆体繊 維の破断ねじれ角度が 17 度以上である、二領域前駆体繊維。 19.該前駆体繊維がアクリロニトリルのホモポリマー、コポリマーおよび三元 ポリマーから成る群から選択される均一なアクリルポリマーから誘導され、該コ ポリマーおよび三元ポリマーが、少なくとも 85 モル%のアクリル単位およびそ れと共重合可能な 15 モル%までの1種以上のビニルモノマーを含む、請求項1 8に記載の繊維。 20.アクリロニトリルと共重合可能なビニルモノマーが、メチルメタクリレー ト、エチルメタクリレート、プロピルメタクリレート、ブチルメタクリレート、 メチルアクリレートおよびエチルアクリレートなどのメタクリル酸エステルおよ びアクリル酸エステル;酢酸ビニルおよびプロピオン酸ビニルなどのビニルエス テル;アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、マレイン酸、イタコン酸およびそれらの塩; ビニルスルホン酸およびその塩を含む、請求項18に記載の繊維。 21.該繊維の内部コア領域が第一ポリマー組成物を含み、外部被覆領域が第二 ポリマー組成物から誘導される、請求項18に記載の繊維。 22.密度が 1.20 〜 1.32 g/ccである、請求項18に記載の繊維。 23.該前駆体繊維がアクリロニトリルのホモポリマー、コポリマーおよび三元 ポリマーから成る群から選択されるアクリルポリマーから誘導され、該コポリマ ーおよび三元ポリマーが、85 モル%未満のアクリル単位およびそれと共重合可 能な 15 モル%より多い1種以上の可塑剤ポリマーを含む、請求項18に記載の 繊維。 24.該コポリマーおよび三元ポリマーが、35モル%まで の1種以上の可塑剤ポリマーを含む、請求項23に記載の繊維。 25.可塑剤ポリマーが、塩化ビニル、メチルアクリレート、メチルメタクリレ ート、ポリ塩化ビニル、セルロースエステル、フタル酸エステル、アジピン酸エ ステルおよびセバシン酸塩エステル、エチレングリコールなどのポリオールおよ びその誘導体、リン酸トリクレシル、ひまし油、ならびにそれらの混合物から成 る群から選択される、請求項23に記載の繊維。 26.該ポリマー繊維が、直径が 0.1μ未満である粒状物質を 0.0001 〜 5重量 %の量で含む、濾過していないアクリルポリマーから誘導される、請求項18に 記載の繊維。 27.繊維全体の半径(R)に対する内部コア領域の半径(r)の比(r:R) が 1:4〜1:1.105である、請求項18に記載の繊維。 28.請求項1に記載の多数の二領域繊維を 10 〜 95 重量%含む熱可塑性また は熱硬化性樹脂マトリックスを含む圧縮成形された複合体の少なくとも一つの構 造パネルを含む防火および耐火性集合体であって、該構造パネルが、RxSi( OR’)4-xおよびRxSi(OOR’)4-x(Rは有機残基であり、R’は低級 アルキルまたはフェニ ル残基であり、xは少なくとも1で4未満である。)から成る群から選択される 化合物の加水分解された部分縮合生成物から誘導される有機シリコーンポリマー と密接に結合しており、該有機シリコーンポリマーが、該集合体に燃焼耐性を付 与するのに十分な量で存在する、集合体。 29.該二領域繊維のLOI値が 40 より大きく、破断ねじれ角度が 4〜13度で ある、請求項28に記載の集合体。 30.請求項1に記載の多数の二領域繊維を含む浮揚性の開放小室化された繊維 集合体であって、燃焼しにくい該二領域繊維が非直線状で、ウール様綿毛、バッ ト、フエルトまたはウェブの形状であり、該繊維集合体が、水不溶性の疎水性硬 化ポリマー物質のコーティングを有する、集合体。 31.該コーティングが、アイオノマー、熱硬化性樹脂、熱可塑性樹脂、ハロ脂 肪族樹脂、シリコーンエラストマー、シリコーンゴム、ポリシロキサンおよび高 分子量ワックスから成る群から選択されるポリマーを含む、請求項30に記載の 集合体。 32.気候に対して隔離するためおよび浮揚性付与のための衣類製品を含む、請 求項30に記載の集合体。 33.多数の二領域繊維を含み、各々の燃焼しにくい二領域繊維が、熱可塑性ポ リマー組成物の内部コア領域およびそれを取り囲む熱硬化された炭素質材料の導 電性外部被覆領域を含み、外部の炭素質領域の炭素含量が 85 重量%より多く、 破断ねじれ角度が3度より大きい、二次エネルギー保存装置用電極。 34.該二領域繊維が均一なアクリル組成物から誘導され、該繊維の内部コア領 域および外部被覆領域が連続しており、領域間に境界または不連続が介在してい ない、請求項33に記載の電極。 35.該二領域繊維の外部炭素質領域の炭素含量が 92 重量%より多く、バルク 抵抗が約 100Ω−cm未満であり、破断ねじれ角度が 4〜10度である、請求項33 に記載の電極。 36.電池を形成する内部室;そこに置かれた一対の電極であって、電気的に互 いに絶縁され、ハウジングの外部と電気的に連結した集電器を各々有し、少なく とも陽極は請求項33に記載の電極を含む、一対の電極;該電池にあって、非電 導性で、化学的に安定な非水性溶媒およびその中に溶解したイオン化可能な塩を 含む電解質(溶媒は、炭素原子に結合した酸素、硫黄および/または窒素原子を 電気化学的に反応しない状態で含む化合物から選択され、塩は アルカリ金属塩である。)を有する水不浸透ハウジングを含む二次エネルギー保 存装置。 37.電解質の溶媒が炭酸プロピレンであり、アルカリ金属塩がリチウム塩であ る、請求項36に記載の保存装置。 38.一つの部屋を形成し、その部屋の内部表面が非電導性である水不浸透ハウ ジング;その部屋を少なくとも一対の端子電池に分離するための電気的に絶縁さ れた少なくとも一つの分離壁(ここで各端子電池は集電器を備えた端子電極を含 み、各端子電極は、保存電気エネルギーの保存装置からの流出および電気エネル ギーの保存装置への充填を容易にするためにハウジングの外部にある端子と電気 的に連結している);一方の端子電池から、電気的に絶縁された分離壁を通って 隣接する端子電池に伸びて、該各端子電極と対向電極部分を形成する二極電極; 端子電極と対向電極部分とを電気的に互いに絶縁するために、各端子電極と二極 対向電極部分との間に位置するイオン伝導性分離シート(二極電極、および端子 電極の少なくとも一方は請求項33に記載の電極を含む);ならびに非水性液体 またはペーストにイオン化可能な塩を含む、各電池内の電解質を含む、二次エネ ルギー保存装置。 39.一つの部屋を形成し、その部屋の内部表面が非電導性である、気体および 水蒸気を通さないハウジング;その 部屋を少なくとも一対の端子電池に分離するための電気的に絶縁された少なくと も一つの分離壁(ここで各端子電池は集電器を備えた端子電極を含み、各端子電 極は、保存エネルギーの保存装置からの流出および電気エネルギーの保存装置へ の充填を容易にするためにハウジングの外部に電気的に連結している);一方の 端子電池から隣接する端子電池に伸びて、該各端子電極と対向電極部分を形成す る、請求項33に記載の電極を含む擬二極電極(ここで各電池における端子電極 および対向電極は互いに電気的に絶縁されており、一方の端子電極は、電導性材 料で形成される集電器フレームを有し、該集電器フレームは、経験式:Li(M O2)n(Mは周期表のVIIb およびVIIIb群から選択される金属である。)の金 属酸化物のリチウム塩で被覆され、擬二極電極の一方の部分は可撓性二領域炭素 繊維を含む被覆された端子電極とともに対向電極を形成し、他方の部分は、金属 酸化物(MO2)n(Mは周期表のVIIb およびVIIIb群から選択される金属であ る。)で被覆された二領域炭素繊維を含む炭素繊維端子電極とともに対向電極を 形成する);ならびに非水性有機液体中にイオン化可能な塩を含む各電池内の電 解質を含む、高性能二次エネルギー保存装置。 40.金属酸化物被覆が、CoO2、NiO2およびMn2O4から成る群から選択 される、請求項39に記載のエネルギー保存装置。 41.二領域繊維の一部が経験式:Li(MO2)n(Mは周期表のVIIb および VIIIb群から選択される金属である。)の金属酸化物のイオン活性リチウム塩で 被覆された、請求項33に記載の電極を含む複合擬二極電極。 42.金属酸化物被覆が、CoO2、NiO2およびMn2O4から成る群から選択 される、請求項41に記載の電極。
