Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 本発明は、例えば車体の天井周縁部を装飾する装飾体、
とりわけ外周に布部材を巻着した自動車用装飾体に関す
る。
従来の技術 周知のように、第２図に示すように自動車１の前後ドア
２，３によって開閉される車体開口縁の車内側周囲には
、装飾体１１が嵌着されている。
この装飾体１１は、第３図に示すように車体のルーフサ
イトレール４のインナパネル５とアウタパネル６の接合
フランジ部７に嵌着する断面略Ｕ字形の基部１２と、該
基部１２の車内外側両側片１３．１４の対向内面に形成
されて、上記接合フランジ部７を挾持する複数の挾持リ
ップ１５・・・と、上記車内側一側片１３の外側面に傾
斜状に立設されたカバーリップ１６と、上記車外側他側
片１４の外側面に設けられて、ドア２，３の閉時に該ド
ア２，３の外周内端面が当接して弾性変形するスポンジ
ゴム製の横Ｕ字形シール部１７とを備えている。また、
基部１２の車外側他側片１４上端からシール部１７及び
カバーリップ１６の外周面２０全体に亘って装飾用の布
部材１８が巻着されている。この布部材１８は、基部１
２の車外側他側片１４上端やシール部１７．カバーリッ
プ１６の外周面２０全体に予め塗付された接着剤１９に
よって貼り合わせ固定されている。
そして、この接着剤１９は、通常、耐熱性の硬化剤入２
液混合タイプ接着剤かあるいはホットメルトタイプの接
着剤が用いられている（例えば実公昭５９−３０７３８
号公報等参照）。
発明が解決しようとする課題 然し乍ら、上記従来のようにシール部１７等に対して布
部材１８全体を２液混合タイプあるいはホットメルトタ
イプによる接着剤１９を用いて貼り合わせる方法では、
該接着剤１９に粘着性がな（、貼り合わせ初期にシール
部１７等の外周面２０に対する布部材１８の密着性が得
られないため、貼り付は初期には接着剤１９が硬化する
まで布部材１８全体を押さえ付けていなければならない
。
したがって、シール部１７等への貼り合わせ作業が煩雑
となり、作業能率が悪化する。
また、２液混合タイプの接着剤１９は、２液の混合後に
硬化してしまうと接着力が消失してしまうため、２液反
応中の硬化時間内（ポットライフ）に布部材１８を貼り
合わせなければならず、そのポットライフの管理の困難
性から貼り合わせ作業が煩雑となる。
一方、ホットメルトタイプの接着剤１９は、布部材１８
の貼り合わせ後には、軟性がな（なり硬化してしまう。
したがって、基部１２やシール部１７等七布部材１８が
一体化して両者の相対移動が不可能になる。このため、
装飾体１１を接合フランジ７に取り付ける際に、基部１
２等を車体開口縁に沿って折曲しようとすると布部材１
８がそれに追従せず引張力が付与されてしまい、カバー
リップ１６の開きが生じたり、取付作業が困難になった
りする。また、布部材１８によってシール部１７の弾性
反力が過大になってしまい、ドア２゜３の閉じ操作性が
悪化する。
課題を解決するための手段 本発明は、前記従来の実情に鑑みて案出されたもので、
基部やシール部の外周面に対して布部材全体を接着剤で
貼るのではなく、布部材の巾方向の両端部を接着剤で固
定すると共に、該両端部以外の領域を粘着剤で接着した
ことを特徴としている。
作用 上記構成の本発明によれば、基部やシール部に対して布
部材を貼り合わせるには、まず布部材をそのまま基部や
シール部の外周面に巻き付けると、該布部材が粘着剤に
よって基部等の外周面に密着状態に接着保持される。し
たがって、この状態ぶら布部材の両端部を基部やシール
部の所定個所に接着剤によって接着する。ここで、布部
材は基部等に密着状態で保持されているため、接着剤が
硬化するまで押し付けている必要がない。また、両端部
が固定された後の布部材は、その大部分が粘着剤で基部
等に接着しているため、基部等との自由な相対移動が可
能になり、シール部の弾性反力の上昇等が抑制できる。
実施例 以下、本発明の実施例を第１図に基づいて詳述する。尚
、上記従来と共通の構成個所には同一の符号を付して説
明する。
この発明に係る自動車用装飾体１１は、ソリッドゴムも
しくはＰｖＣ等の合成樹脂からなる断面略Ｕ字形の基部
１２と、該基部１２の車内外側両側片１３．１４の対向
内面に形成されてた挟持リップ１５と、車内側一側片１
３に立設されたカバーリップ１６と、車外側他側片１４
の外側面に設けられたスポンジゴムからなる横Ｕ字形の
シール部１７と、該各基部１２やカバーリップ１６及び
シール部１７の外周全体に亘って巻着された長尺な帯状
の布部材１８とを備えている。
前記布部材１８は、その巾方向（車体巾方向）の両端部
１８ａ、１８ｂがカバーリップ１６の上端部１６ａと車
外側他端片１４の上端部１４ａに接着剤２１によって接
着固定されている。この接着剤２１は、従来と同様な２
液温合タイプかあるいはホットメルトタイプのものであ
って、２液温合タイプのものは、ウレタン系またはエポ
キシ系のものを使用し、ホットメルトタイプはウレタン
系、ナイロン系、ポリエステル系、ＥＶＡ系のものを使
用している。また、布部材１８の両端部１３ａ、１８ｂ
以外の領域面が、基部１２やカバーリップ１６及びシー
ル部１７の連続した外周面２０全体に粘着剤２２によっ
て接着されている。この粘着剤２２は、アクリル酸エス
テル共重合体系やポリビニルエーテル系等のものを使用
している。
したがって、基部１２等に対して布部材１８を貼り合わ
せるには、まず基部１２．カバーリップ１６、シール部
１７の外周面２０全域に上記粘着剤２２を予め塗付して
おく。次に、布部材１８を前記王者１２．１６．１７の
外周面２０に巻き付けると、該布部材１８全体が粘着剤
２２によって外周面２０に密着状態に接着保持される。
この状態から布部材１８の両端部１８ａ＋　　１８ｂを
カバーリップ１６の上端部１６ａと車外側他側片１４の
上端部１４ａの各内端面に接着剤２１で固定するわけで
あるが、ここで２液温合タイプの場合は、各上端部１６
ａ、１４ａに予め内方へ巻き込まれている両端部１８ａ
、１８ｂの上面に接着剤２１を塗付して硬化させる。一
方、ホットメルトタイプの場合は、両端部１８ａ、１８
ｂに塗付した接着剤２１に熱板やウェルダー等を用いて
加熱して接着する。前記ホットメルトタイプの接着剤２
１の塗付方法としては、装飾体１１の押出成形時に同時
に口金から押出して塗付する方法がある。
そして、この作業中には、布部材１８全体が外周面２０
に密着して簡単に剥がれないため、接着剤２１が硬化す
るまで布部材１８を押し付けてお（必要が全（ない。し
たがって、布部材１８の貼り付は作業が極めて容易にな
る。また、２液温合タイプ接着剤２１を用いたとしても
ポットライフの管理が不要になるため、この点からも貼
り付は作業が容易になる。
一方、両端部１８ａ、１８ｂが固定された後の布部材１
８は、両端部１８ａ、１８ｂ以外の領域が粘着剤２２に
よって外周面２０に接着しているため、該外周面２０と
の自由な相対移動が可能になる。したがって、装飾体１
１を車体の接合フランジ部７に取り付けるに際し、車体
開口縁に沿って折曲しても基部１２等が布部材１８に引
っ張られることなく自在に折曲する。よって、装飾体ｌ
ｌの車体開口縁に対する取付作業性の悪化が防止される
。また、布部材１８とシール部１７外周面との自由な相
対移動により、該シール部１７の弾性反力の上昇が抑制
されるため、ドア２，３の閉じ操作性の悪化も防止でき
る。
尚、本発明は上記実施例の構成に限定されない。
発明の効果 以上の説明で明らかなように、本発明に係る自動車用装
飾体によれば、基部やシール部に対して布部材の巾方向
の両端部を接着剤で固定すると共に、該両端部以外の領
域を粘着剤で接着したため、布部材の貼り合わせ作業が
容易になる。また、斯かる貼り合わせ作業の完了後には
、布部材と基部等の外周面との相対移動が可能になるた
め、車体開口縁に対する装飾体の取付作業性の悪化が防
止されると共にシール部の弾性反力の上昇が抑制されて
ドアの閉じ操作性の悪化等も防止される。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. （１）車体開口縁に嵌着する断面略Ｕ字形の基部と、該
    基部の車外側一側片に設けられて、ドアの外周内端面が
    当接するシール部と、上記基部とシール部との外周面全
    体に巻着された布部材とを備えた自動車用装飾体であっ
    て、上記基部やシール部に対して上記布部材の巾方向の
    両端部を接着剤で固定すると共に、該両端部以外の領域
    を粘着剤で接着したことを特徴とする自動車用装飾体。
