前記塊状のガラスカレットを、切削加工機、例えばダイヤモンドカッターと研磨機を用いて、25mm×25mm×5mmの試験片に加工し、JIS R1602:1995に従って超音波パルス法にて弾性率の指標としてヤング率を測定した。
前記塊状のガラスカレットを、切削加工機、例えばダイヤモンドカッターと研磨機を用いて、4mm×4mm×20mmの試験片に加工し、得られた試験片を昇温速度10℃/分で加熱し、50~200℃の範囲の温度で、熱機械分析装置(株式会社日立ハイテクサイエンス製)を用いて伸び量を測定し、該伸び量から線膨張係数を算出することで、ガラス繊維の熱膨張係数を測定した。
所定の組成に調合されたガラス繊維用ガラス組成物をガラス原料として溶融炉で溶融し、200ホール以上のノズルを備えるブッシングで紡糸して円形断面を有するガラス繊維(フィラメント)を得た。前記ガラスフィラメントから無作為に50本の繊維を選定し、フィラメントごとに繊維径を測定した。この際の、繊維径の標準偏差を繊維径の平均値で割った値の百分率Wと、繊維径の最大値と平均値の差を平均値で割った値の百分率と、繊維径の最小値と平均値の差を平均値で割った値の百分率とのうち、大きいほうの値の百分率Xを算出した。百分率Wが7.5%以下かつ百分率Xが20.0%以下の場合をA、百分率Wが7.5%超15.0%以下、かつ百分率Xが20.0%以下の場合をB、百分率Wが15.0%超又は百分率Xが20.0%超の場合をCと評価した。
所定の組成に調合されたガラス繊維用ガラス組成物をガラス原料として溶融炉で溶融し、200ホール以上のノズルを備えるブッシングで紡糸して、扁平な断面を有するガラス繊維(フィラメント)を得た。前記ガラスフィラメントから無作為に50本の繊維を選定し、フィラメントごとに短径、長径および換算繊維径を測定した。このときの短径に対する長径の比(異形比)の標準偏差を平均値で割った値の百分率Yと、円形換算繊維径の標準偏差を平均値で割った値の百分率Zを算出した。算出された百分率Yの値が20.0%以下、かつ、算出された百分率Zの値が7.5%以下の場合をA、算出された百分率Yの値が20.0%超又は算出された百分率Zの値が7.5%超であり、かつ、算出された百分率Yの値が30.0%以下かつ算出された百分率Zの値が15.0%以下である場合をB、算出された百分率Yの値が30.0%超、又は算出された百分率Zの値が15.0%超の場合をCと評価した。
Claims (6)
- ガラス繊維用ガラス組成物の全量に対し、45.60~59.00質量%の範囲のSiO2と、
10.00~16.00質量%の範囲のAl2O3と、
17.00~25.00質量%の範囲のCaOと、
0.01~9.50質量%の範囲のTiO2と、
0.03~7.00質量%の範囲のP2O5と、
0.00~9.50質量%の範囲のZnOと、
0.00~2.00質量%の範囲のSO3と、
合計で、0.01~11.50質量%の範囲のZnO及びSO3と、
合計で、0.00~2.00質量%の範囲のNa2O、K2O及びLi2Oとを含み、
前記SiO2の含有率SI、前記Al2O3の含有率A、前記CaOの含有率C、前記TiO2の含有率T、前記P2O5の含有率P、前記ZnOの含有率Z、及び、前記SO3の含有率SOが次式(1)を満たすことを特徴とする、ガラス繊維用ガラス組成物。
