Description
以下に示す実施例においては、一例としてダンパユニットを備えたエアバッグモジュールを採用しているが、本発明においてダンパユニット自体は必ずしも必要ではない。すなわち、本発明は、連結ピンの外側にコイルスプリングを配置し、ダンパを用いない構造にも適用可能である。
図10は、コイルスプリング132とフック300との位置関係を模式的に示すものであり、コイルスプリング132の上端方向から見た様子を示す。なお、実際にはフランジ301があるが、便宜上図示を省略する。
本発明のような斬新な技術的工夫を採用しない場合には、図13に示すように、コイルスプリング132が傾いて装着される恐れがある。
Claims (4)
- 芯金部材と、エアバッグクッションおよびインフレータを収容し、連結ピンを介して前記芯金部材に連結されるエアバッグモジュールとを備え、前記連結ピンが前記エアバッグモジュール側から前記芯金部材側へと延びる構造を採用したステアリングホイールにおいて、
前記連結ピンの外側に配置されたコイルスプリングと;前記連結ピンの周辺部において前記コイルスプリングの上端を支持する支持部材とを備え、
前記支持部材は、前記コイルスプリングの上端部分を支持すべく前記連結ピンの軸に垂直な方向に突出した支持面と;当該支持面から前記連結ピンの下側に向かって延びる側面とを有するフックを備え、
前記コイルスプリングは前記フックの側面に干渉しないように構成されており、
前記フックは、前記連結ピンの軸方向と垂直な面内において、等間隔に少なくとも4カ所設けられ、
前記コイルスプリングは、上側の先端から所定の範囲内では、前記フックの最外縁を結んだ円の半径r0よりも小さな一定の曲率半径r1に成形されて、少なくとも当該範囲内において前記フックの支持面で支持され、
前記所定の範囲は、180度であり、前記所定の範囲を超えた部分では徐々に曲率半径が大きくなり、360度に達した時点では前記フックの最外縁を結んだ円の半径r0よりも大きな曲率半径r2を有し、上端から2巻き目以降は、一定の曲率半径r2となるように成形されており、
前記フックの側面は、前記連結ピンの下側にいくにつれて、前記支持部材の中心側に向かって傾斜していることを特徴とするステアリングホイール。 - 前記支持部材において、前記フックの近傍には軸方向に延びるスリットが形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のステアリングホイール。
- 前記スリットは、前記支持部材の円周方向において前記フックの両端に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のステアリングホイール。
- 請求項1乃至3の何れか1項に記載のステアリングホイールに採用される前記エアバッグモジュール。
