Description
本出願において、以下の用語は、以下の意味を有するものとする。
本発明によるある特定の実施形態は、ポリ乳酸(PLA)スパンボンド不織布を調製するためのシステムを提供する。ある特定の実施形態によれば、システムは、溶融または半溶融PLA樹脂のストリームを生じるように構成された第1のPLA供給源、第1のPLA供給源と流体連結しているスピンビーム、PLA連続フィラメントがその上に堆積されてPLAスパンボンド不織布を形成する、スピンビームの出口の下に配置された収集表面、PLA連続フィラメントをイオンに曝露するように位置付けおよび配置された第1のイオン化源、および第1のイオン化源の下流に位置するカレンダーを含む。スピンビームは、ある特定の実施形態によれば、複数のPLA連続フィラメントを押し出しおよび延伸するように構成される。
別の態様では、本発明によるある特定の実施形態は、PLAスパンボンド不織布を調製するための方法を提供する。ある特定の実施形態によれば、方法は、溶融または半溶融PLA樹脂のストリームを生じるステップと、複数の延伸PLA連続フィラメントを形成するステップと、複数のPLA連続フィラメントを収集表面上に堆積させるステップと、複数のPLA連続フィラメントをイオンに曝露するステップと、複数のPLA連続フィラメントを結合して、PLAスパンボンド不織布を形成するステップとを含む。
タイター(titer)は、独国テキスタイル法C−1570によって繊維の直径の顕微鏡測定値および公知のポリマー密度から計算した。
実施例1は、レイダウンおよびR−3プレスロールからの圧縮後、ウェブが収集表面上のいくらかの距離をトラバースし、カレンダーの平滑で、エンボス加工ロールを備える結合ステーションに移動する前にR−4プレスロールの下を行くように、Reicofil−3ビームならびにR−3およびR−4の両方のプレスロールを使用して作製されるPP/PLA二成分不織ウェブの製造に関していた。ウェブは、LyondellBasell Z/N HP561R PPであるシースおよびNatureWorksからの6202D PLAであるコアを有する、50/50二成分不織ウェブであった。ウェブは、押出機で235℃およびダイで240℃のスピンビーム温度、2700m/分の繊維延伸速度、ならびに149m/分のライン速度を使用して製造した。カレンダーは、パターンロールの表面積の25%に及ぶひし形結合パターン、パターンロールおよびアンビルロールのそれぞれについて、150℃のカレンダー温度、ならびに70N/mmのカレンダー圧力を有した。受動的静電バーは、カレンダーの下流およそ8〜12インチに位置させた。
実施例2および実施例3は、Reicofil−3ビームを使用しての布表面にPLAを有するスパンボンド布の製造に関していた。ウェブは、イオン化バーを使用して製造された逆二成分シース/コア40/60PLA/PP NatureWorks Grade 6752/LyondellBasell HP561R PPであった。実施例2および実施例3のウェブは、押出機で235℃およびダイで240℃のスピンビーム温度、ならびに149m/分のライン速度を使用して製造した。実施例2は、2900m/分の繊維延伸速度で形成した。実施例2についてのカレンダーは、パターンロールの表面積の25%に及ぶひし形結合パターン、パターンロールについて160℃、およびアンビルロールについて125℃のカレンダー温度、ならびに50N/mのカレンダー圧力を有した。
実施例4および実施例5は、Reicofil−3ビームを使用して100%二成分PLAから作製されたスパンボンド布の製造に関していた。ウェブは、イオン化バーおよびスチームを使用しての二成分シース/コア40/60 NatureWorks Grade 6752/NatureWorks Grade 6202 100%PLAであった。実施例4および実施例5のウェブは、押出機で235℃およびダイで240℃のスピンビーム温度、ならびに119m/分のライン速度を使用して製造した。実施例4は、3300m/分の繊維延伸速度で形成した。実施例4についてのカレンダーは、パターンロールの表面積の25%に及ぶひし形結合パターン、パターンロールについて135℃、およびアンビルロールについて125℃のカレンダー温度、ならびに70N/mのカレンダー圧力を有した。
実施例6および実施例7は、イオン化バーまたは受動的静電バーを使用することなく、しかしむしろ、静電気を最小限にするために水分を最適化するようにクエンチ空気に加えられたスチームを使用して作製された二成分100%PLA布に関していた。布は、Reicofil−4ビームを使用しての100%二成分50/50シース/コア NatureWorks Grade 6752/NatureWorks Grade 6202であった。実施例6のウェブは、押出機およびダイの両方について230℃のスピンビーム温度、3600m/分の繊維延伸速度、ならびに150m/分のライン速度を使用して製造した。実施例6についてのカレンダーは、パターンロールについて139℃、およびアンビルロールについて134℃のカレンダー温度、ならびに80N/mのカレンダー圧力を有した。
実施例8および実施例9は、Reicofil−4ビームで作製された100%PLA二成分布に関していた。設定は、1つのIonis Elektrostatik放電電極E3412(すなわち、イオン化バー)が、収集表面の上に、収集表面にわたって横方向に延在して位置させ、ならびに収集表面の上およそ1〜3インチおよびR−4プレスロールの下流におよそ2〜3インチに置かれた点で実施例1と異なっていた。R−4スピンビームがR−3スピンビームの下流にあったので、R−3プレスロールに巻き付くことについて懸念はなかった。したがって、R−3ビームからのイオン化バーは、実施例8および実施例9の製造中に非通電状態にされた。
本明細書で本発明の様々な態様および実施形態を記載してきたが、本発明のさらなる具体的実施形態は、以下の項に示されるものを含む。
1.ポリ乳酸(PLA)スパンボンド不織布を調製するためのシステムであって、溶融または半溶融PLA樹脂のストリームを生じるように構成された第1のPLA供給源;複数のPLA連続フィラメントを押し出しおよび延伸するように構成された、第1のPLA供給源と流体連結しているスピンビーム;PLA連続フィラメントがその上に堆積されて、PLAスパンボンド不織布を形成する、スピンビームの出口の下に配置された収集表面;PLA連続フィラメントをイオンに曝露するように位置付けおよび配置された第1のイオン化源;ならびに第1のイオン化源の下流に位置するカレンダーを含む、システム。
PLAスパンボンド不織布をワインダーに近接したイオンに曝露するように位置付けおよび配置された第3のイオン化源
をさらに含む、請求項1から11のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
溶融または半溶融PLA樹脂のストリームを生じるステップと、
PLAがフィラメントの表面に存在している、複数のPLA連続フィラメントを形成するステップと、
複数のPLA連続フィラメントを収集表面上に堆積させるステップと、
複数のPLA連続フィラメントをイオンに曝露するステップと、
複数のPLA連続フィラメントを結合して、PLAスパンボンド不織布を形成するステップと
を含む、方法。
複数のPLA連続フィラメントを紡糸するステップと、
複数のPLA連続フィラメントを延伸するステップと、
複数のPLA連続フィラメントをランダム化するステップと、
含む、請求項42に記載の方法。
PLAスパンボンド不織布を切断して、切断PLAスパンボンド不織布を形成するステップと、
切断PLAスパンボンド不織布を第3のイオン化源によってイオンに曝露するステップと、
切断PLAスパンボンド不織布をロールに巻き付けるステップと
をさらに含む、請求項42から67のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
Claims (23)
- ポリ乳酸(PLA)スパンボンド不織布を調製するための装置であって、
溶融または半溶融PLA樹脂のストリームを生じるように構成された第1のPLA供給源と、
複数のPLA連続フィラメントを押し出しおよび延伸するように構成された、前記第1のPLA供給源と流体連結しているスピンビームと、
前記PLA連続フィラメントがその上に堆積されて、前記PLAスパンボンド不織布を形成する、前記スピンビームの出口の下に配置された収集表面と、
前記PLA連続フィラメントをイオンに曝露するように位置付けおよび配置され、前記PLAスパンボンド不織布中の静電荷を中和する第1のイオン化源と、
前記第1のイオン化源の下流に位置するカレンダーと
を備え、前記第1のイオン化源および任意の追加のイオン化源が、前記収集表面の上に位置するとともに、前記PLA連続フィラメントが前記収集表面上に堆積されるポイントの下流に位置しており、前記第1のイオン化源が、最初のロールの手前に位置する装置。 - 前記イオン化源が、前記収集表面の上で、かつ前記PLA連続フィラメントが前記収集表面の上に堆積されるポイントの下流に、または前記スピンビームの出口と前記収集表面の間に位置する請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第1のイオン化源と前記収集表面が、1インチ〜24インチ(25.4mm〜609.6mm)の距離で離れている請求項1または2に記載の装置。
- 前記カレンダーに近接した前記PLAスパンボンド不織布から静電気を消散させるように位置付けおよび配置された静電制御ユニットをさらに備え、前記静電制御ユニットが、受動的静電バー、または第2のイオン化源を備える請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記スピンビームの出口から下流に位置するプレスロールをさらに備える請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記収集表面の下に配置された真空源、
前記カレンダーの下流に位置するワインダー、または
前記PLAスパンボンド不織布を前記ワインダーに近接したイオンに曝露するように位置付けおよび配置された第3のイオン化源
の1つまたは複数をさらに備える請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の装置。 - 前記第1のイオン化源、前記静電制御源、前記第3のイオン化源の少なくとも1つが、前記複数のPLA連続フィラメントまたは前記PLAスパンボンド不織布の少なくとも一方にわたって横方向に延在するイオン化バーを備える請求項6に記載の装置。
- 前記第1のイオン化源、前記静電制御源、および前記第3のイオン化源が、前記PLAスパンボンド不織布の調製中に生じた静電荷を能動的に消散させるように構成される請求項6または7に記載の装置。
- 前記第1のイオン化源が、プレスロールから下流に、または前記スピンビームと前記プレスロールの間に位置する請求項1から8のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 静電制御ユニットが、前記カレンダーから上流に且つそれに隣接して、および/または前記カレンダーから下流に且つそれに隣接して位置する請求項1から9のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記カレンダーが、パターン化ロールを含む一対の協働ロールを備え、前記パターン化ロールが、ひし形パターン、六角形ドットパターン、オーバル−楕円形パターン、ロード形状パターン、またはそれらの任意の組み合わせの1つからなる群から選択される3次元幾何形状結合パターンを備える請求項1から10のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 2500m/分より大きい繊維延伸速度で前記PLAスパンボンド不織布を調製するように構成される請求項1から11のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- ポリ乳酸(PLA)スパンボンド不織布の調製するための方法であって、
溶融または半溶融PLA樹脂のストリームを生じるステップと、
複数のPLA連続フィラメントを形成するステップであって、PLAが前記フィラメントの表面に存在するステップと、
前記複数のPLA連続フィラメントを収集表面上に堆積させるステップと、
第1のイオン化源によって、前記複数のPLA連続フィラメントをイオンに曝露するステップと、
前記複数のPLA連続フィラメントを結合して、前記PLAスパンボンド不織布を形成するステップと
を含み、
前記第1のイオン化源および任意の追加のイオン化源が、前記収集表面の上に位置するとともに、前記PLA連続フィラメントが前記収集表面上に堆積されるポイントの下流に位置している、方法。 - 前記複数のPLA連続フィラメントを形成するステップが、
前記複数のPLA連続フィラメントを紡糸するステップと、
前記複数のPLA連続フィラメントを延伸するステップと、
前記複数のPLA連続フィラメントをランダム化するステップと
を含む請求項13に記載の方法。 - 前記複数のPLA連続フィラメントを形成するステップが、二成分繊維を形成するステップを含み、かつ前記二成分は、並列二成分繊維、またはシースおよびコアを有する繊維を含む請求項13または14に記載の方法。
- 前記シースがPLAを含む請求項15に記載の方法。
- 前記コアが、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、PLA、またはそれらの任意の組み合わせの少なくとも1種を含む請求項15または16に記載の方法。
- 前記二成分繊維は、前記シースが第1のPLAグレードを含み、前記コアが第2のPLAグレードを含み、かつ前記第1のPLAグレードおよび前記第2のPLAグレードは異なるPLAを含む請求項15から17のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 2500m/分より大きい繊維延伸速度で行われる請求項13から18のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記シースがPLAを含み、前記コアがポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン、またはポリエチレンテレフタレートの少なくとも1種を含み、かつ前記方法は、3000m/分〜4000m/分の繊維延伸速度で行われる請求項15から17のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 静電制御ユニットによって前記カレンダーに近接した前記PLAスパンボンド不織布から静電荷を消散させるステップをさらに含む請求項13から20のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
