Description
図1を参照し、蒸発燃料処理装置20を備える燃料供給システム6について説明する。燃料供給システム6は、燃料タンク14内に貯留されている燃料をエンジン2に供給するためのメイン供給経路10と、燃料タンク14内で発生した蒸発燃料をエンジン2に供給するためのパージ供給経路22を備えている。
図3を参照し、蒸発燃料処理装置20bについて説明する。蒸発燃料処理装置20bは蒸発燃料処理装置20の変形例であり、具体的には、分岐経路22bの上流端と下流端の間に、遮断弁98が配置されている。遮断弁98は、特許請求の範囲の切替装置の一例である。なお、蒸発燃料処理装置20bについて、蒸発燃料処理装置20と同じ部品には同じ参照番号を付し、説明を省略することがある。

Claims (9)
- 燃料タンク内で蒸発した蒸発燃料を吸着するキャニスタと、
内燃機関の吸気経路とキャニスタとの間に接続されており、キャニスタから内燃機関に送られるパージガスが通過するパージ通路と、
パージ通路の経路上に配置されているポンプと、
パージガスの濃度を検出する濃度センサと、
両端がパージ通路に接続されており、前記濃度センサが配置されている分岐通路と、
パージガスが分岐通路が接続されている間のパージ通路を通過して前記吸気経路に移動するパージ通路通過状態と、パージガスが分岐通路が接続されている間のパージ通路を通過しないで前記吸気経路に移動するパージ通路不通過状態と、に切替わる切替装置と、
吸気経路と前記ポンプの間でパージ通路上に配置されているとともに、パージ通路と吸気経路が連通している連通状態とパージ通路と吸気経路の連通が遮断されている遮断状態とに切替わる制御弁と、
を備える蒸発燃料処理装置。 - パージ通路の通気抵抗が分岐通路の通気抵抗より小さい請求項1に記載の蒸発燃料処理装置。
- 切替装置は、パージ通路通過状態のときに、パージガスの分岐通路への移動を遮断する請求項1または2に記載の蒸発燃料処理装置。
- 前記ポンプ,切替装置及び制御弁を制御する制御装置をさらに備える請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の蒸発燃料処理装置。
- 制御装置は、車両の始動操作が行われた後、切替装置をパージ通路不通過状態にし、制御弁を連通状態にして分岐通路を掃気するとともにパージガスの濃度を検出する制御を行う、請求項4に記載の蒸発燃料処理装置。
- 制御装置は、車両の始動操作が行われた後にパージガスの濃度の検出を行い、その濃度に基づいてパージを実行した後にパージが停止した後に、切替装置をパージ通路不通過状態にし、制御弁を連通状態にしてパージガスの濃度を検出する制御を行う、請求項5に記載の蒸発燃料処理装置。
- 制御装置は、車両の始動操作が行われた後にパージガスの濃度の検出を行い、その濃度に基づいてパージを実行した後にパージが停止し、再度パージを実行するときに、切替装置をパージ通路不通過状態にし、制御弁を連通状態にしてパージガスの濃度を検出する制御を行う、請求項5または6に記載の蒸発燃料処理装置。
- 制御装置は、切替装置がパージ通路不通過状態のときに、前記ポンプを駆動する制御を行う、請求項4から7のいずれか一項に記載の蒸発燃料処理装置。
- バージ通路上に、パージ通路がキャニスタに連通する第1状態と、パージ通路が大気に連通する第2状態と、に切替る第2の切替装置が設けられている請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の蒸発燃料処理装置。
