Claims (8)
- ハウジングに密封的に固定される金属環と、
前記金属環に接合され、前記ハウジングの内周に挿通された回転体の外周面に摺動可能に密接されるメインリップと、
前記メインリップの外側にあって前記金属環に接合され、軸方向に対して伸縮可能な環状弾性体と、
前記環状弾性体における前記金属環と反対側の端部に設けられ、前記回転体の外周に取り付けられたシールフランジに摺動可能に密接される摺動リングと、
前記環状弾性体の内径側に配置され、前記摺動リングを前記シールフランジへ弾性的に押圧する付勢手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする密封装置。 - 前記摺動リングは、シールフランジと平面同士で摺動可能に密接するシール面を有して いる、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の密封装置。 - 前記摺動リングは、前記回転体の軸心を通る平面で切断した断面形状がコ字形を呈して いる、
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の密封装置。 - 前記環状弾性体の前記金属環と反対側の端部は、前記回転体の軸心を通る平面で切断し た断面形状がコ字形を呈しているばね受け部を有し、
前記摺動リングは、前記ばね受け部と対応するコ字形を呈しており、
前記付勢手段は、前記金属環に設けられた内径側に延びるばね支持部と前記環状弾性体 のばね受け部との間に軸方向に圧縮された状態で前記金属環と同心的に配置されている圧 縮コイルバネである、
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の密封装置。 - 環状弾性体は、ベローズ状に形成されている、
ことを特徴とする請求項1ないし4のいずれか一に記載の密封装置。 - 前記ハウジングは、車両のトランスファー装置のハウジングである、
ことを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれか一に記載の密封装置。 - 前記ハウジングは、車両のトランスミッションのハウジングである、
ことを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれか一に記載の密封装置。 - 前記ハウジングは、車両のデファレンシャルギアのハウジングである、
ことを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれか一に記載の密封装置。
