Description
a)少なくとも1つの共役ジエンおよび場合により1つ以上のモノアルケニルアレーン化合物を含むモノマーまたはモノマー混合物を、アニオン性開始剤の存在下で重合し、リビングポリマーアームまたはアームの混合物を形成する工程;
b)リビングポリマーアームと、ポリアルケニルカップリング剤とを反応させる工程;
c)リビングポリマーが工程b)の後に残る場合に重合を終了する工程;および
d)こうして製造されたカップリングされたポリマーを場合により官能化および/または水素化する工程
を含み、ポリアルケニルカップリング剤は、α,ω−ビス(ビニルフェニル)アルカン、好ましくは1,2−ビス(ビニルフェニル)エタンである。
窒素雰囲気下、1Lの撹拌反応器において、必要とされる分子量をターゲットとするために、750mLの乾燥脱酸素化シクロヘキサン、50gのイソプレンおよびシクロヘキサン中0.3M溶液としての適切な量のs−BuLiを、60℃で続けて添加した。実用的な理由から、表2に示されるような幾つかの場合において(実験3〜4)、イソプレンの量は、5または10gに低減された。イソプレンのポリイソプレンへの転化が完了した後、乾燥シクロヘキサン中のDVB(比較)または乾燥トルエン中のBVPEのいずれかの1.0M溶液を、1:3のLi:CAモル比を得るような量で一度に添加した。実験8および12において、0.5gのスチレンを、カップリング剤の添加前に添加した。カップリング反応の間、容器の温度は2時間、80℃まで上昇させた。得られたポリマーは、メタノール/BHT中の沈澱によってサンプリングし、GPC分析に供した。
実施例1と同じ手順を、イソプレンモノマーの代わりにブタジエンを添加して適用した。両方の実験において、約0.5gのスチレンをカップリング剤の添加の前に添加した。
窒素雰囲気下、1Lの撹拌反応器において、必要とされる分子量をターゲットとするために、750mLの乾燥脱酸素化シクロヘキサン、5gのスチレンおよびシクロヘキサン中0.3M溶液としての適切な量のs−BuLiを、60℃で続けて添加した。スチレンの転化完了後に、ポリスチレン−ポリイソプレンジブロックコポリマーを製造するために45gのイソプレンを添加した。イソプレンの転化完了後、さらに別の0.5gのスチレンを添加した。カップリングは、乾燥シクロヘキサン中のDVBまたは乾燥トルエン中のBVPEのいずれかの1.0M溶液を、1:3のLi:CAモル比を与えるような量で一度に添加することによって行われた。この添加の後、容器の温度は2時間、80℃まで上昇させた。得られたポリマーは、メタノール/BHT(酸化防止材料、Ionol(商標)CP)中の沈澱によってサンプリングされ、GPC分析に供した。
ポリマー溶液を45°Cに加熱し、1100rpmで撹拌しながら1MPaまでH2で加圧し、次いで0から0.05MPaにベントした。これをN2を除去するために2回繰り返した。水素化触媒としては、1:2モル比のニッケルオクトエートおよびトリエチルアルミニウムの予混合された組み合わせを使用した。次いでNi/Al水素化触媒を、ポリマー溶液ベースで20ppmのNiにて注入した。次に反応器を4.3MPaのH2に加圧し、水素化を開始した。温度を75℃に4時間設定し、この後さらに50ppmのニッケル触媒を添加し、さらに4時間水素化を継続して、<0.1meq/ポリマーのgr、の残留不飽和に到達させた。すべての例において良好な結果が得られた。
実施例1は、異なる分子量、異なるBVPE組成および比較DVB実験に関するイソプレン重合結果を与える。非常に低い分子量において、BVPEを使用する当業者は、DVBを使用する場合よりも悪化する不溶性のゲルを見出し得る。驚くべきことに、BVPEは、少なくとも2,500の見掛けの数平均分子量を有するリビングポリマーとのカップリング剤として十分機能する。故に2500の最小の見掛けの数平均分子量が好ましい。表2のポリイソプレンの実施例および比較例から、原理上、BVPEがDVBよりも高い分岐度を可能にすることが明らかになる。しかし分子量が増大すると、この差は低減する。これらの実施例内において、カップリング剤としてのp,p’−BVPEに関して、BVPE異性体混合物(表1参照)が適用される場合と比較して低い線状カップリング含有量が得られることも明らかになる。すべての場合において、スチレンキャップ処理は、スチレンキャップ処理がない場合よりもBVPEに関して高いカップリング効率を与える。
Claims (8)
- アニオン性重合によってカップリングされたポリマーを調製するための方法であって、ここで前記カップリングされたポリマーは、共役ジエンポリマーであり、前記方法は以下の反応工程:
a)少なくとも1つの共役ジエンを含むモノマーまたはモノマー混合物を、アニオン性開始剤の存在下で重合し、ASTM D5296−11に従ってポリスチレン較正標準を用いるゲル透過クロマトグラフィ(GPC)により測定される場合に、2000を超える平均見掛け数平均分子量を有するリビングポリマーアームまたはアームの混合物(P)を形成する工程;
b)リビングポリマーアームと、ポリアルケニルカップリング剤とを反応させる工程;および
c)リビングポリマーが工程b)の後に残る場合に重合を終了する工程
を含み、
前記ポリアルケニルカップリング剤が、α,ω−ビス(ビニルフェニル)アルカンである、方法。 - 前記少なくとも1つの共役ジエンを含むモノマーまたはモノマー混合物が、1つ以上のモノアルケニルアレーン化合物をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- d)カップリングされたポリマーを官能化および/または水素化する工程、をさらに含む、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- ASTM D5296−11に従ってポリスチレン較正標準を用いるゲル透過クロマトグラフィ(GPC)により測定される場合に2000を超える平均の見掛け数平均分子量を有する少なくとも2つのアームを含み、カップリング剤の残基に結合され、ポリアルケニルカップリング剤がα,ω−ビス(ビニルフェニル)アルカンである、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法によって得ることができる共役ジエンポリマー。
- 炭化水素溶媒中の、請求項4に記載の共役ジエンポリマーの濃縮物。
- 請求項4に記載の共役ジエンポリマーの水性エマルション。
- 請求項6に記載の共役ジエンポリマーの水性エマルションから製造される物品。
- 請求項7に記載の物品を製造する方法であって、前記共役ジエンポリマーの水性エマルションに所定の形態を浸漬する工程を含む、方法。
