Description
図1は、本実施形態に係る自動変速機1の構成を示す骨子図である。自動変速機1は、変速機ケース2内に、相互に同一軸心上に配置された、エンジン側から延びる入力軸3と、出力ギヤ4と、第1〜第4の4つのプラネタリギヤセット(以下「PGS」と表記する)11〜14と、第1・第2の2つのブレーキ21,22と、第1〜第3の3つのクラッチ31〜33とを備える。本実施形態では、反エンジン側が軸方向の一端側、エンジン側が軸方向の他端側である。
以下、図3〜図10を参照して本実施形態の特徴部分を説明する。図3は、上記共用回転部材5を図1の矢印A方向から見た図、図4〜図6は、それぞれ図3の矢印IV,V,VIに沿う上記自動変速機1の反エンジン側端部の断面図、図7は、図3の中央部の拡大図、図8は、上記自動変速機1に備えられた共通部材8を図1の矢印A方向から見た図、図9・図10は、それぞれ図5・図6の要部拡大図である。
以上説明したように、本実施形態では、同一軸心上に3つのクラッチ31〜33が径方向に重ねて配置された自動変速機1において、上記3つのクラッチ31〜33のピストン31p〜33pが軸方向視で相互に重複せずかつ軸心と直交する同一平面上で径方向に並ぶように配置されている(図4の矢印B参照)。また、上記軸心と直交する平面に沿って形成された壁部5xを有し、上記3つのクラッチ31〜33で共用される共用回転部材5が軸方向の反エンジン側端部に配置され、上記共用回転部材5の壁部5x、より詳しくは厚壁部5aに上記3つのクラッチ31〜33の作動油圧室31a〜33aに通じる6つの作動油圧通路31c〜33cが軸心と直交する同一平面上で周方向に並ぶように設けられている(図4の矢印C参照)。
上記実施形態では、共用回転部材5を変速機1の軸方向の端部(特に反エンジン側端部)に配置したが、これに限らず、例えば変速機1の軸方向の中間部(第1〜第3クラッチ31〜33のエンジン側)に配置してもよい。その場合のレイアウトの1例を図11に示す。図1との主な相違点は次の通りである。

Claims (7)
- 同一軸心上に複数のクラッチが径方向に重ねて配置された自動変速機であって、
上記複数のクラッチのピストンが軸方向視で相互に重複せずかつ軸心と直交する同一平面上で径方向に並ぶように配置され、
上記軸心と直交する平面に沿って形成された壁部を有し、上記複数のクラッチで共用される共用回転部材が軸方向の所定位置に配置され、
上記共用回転部材の壁部に上記複数のクラッチの作動油圧室に通じる複数の作動油圧通路が軸心と直交する同一平面上で周方向に並ぶように設けられ、
上記共用回転部材の壁部のうち周方向に隣接する各作動油圧通路の間に位置する部分が作動油圧通路の設置部よりも肉厚の薄い薄壁部とされ、当該薄壁部に上記クラッチのピストンを解放側に付勢するリターンスプリングが配設されていることを特徴とする自動変速機。 - 請求項1に記載の自動変速機において、
上記リターンスプリングは皿バネであることを特徴とする自動変速機。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の自動変速機において、
上記クラッチの数は3つであることを特徴とする自動変速機。 - 請求項3に記載の自動変速機において、
内周側から2つ目及び3つ目のクラッチのリターンスプリングが上記共用回転部材の薄壁部に配設されていることを特徴とする自動変速機。 - 請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の自動変速機において、
上記リターンスプリングと上記作動油圧通路とが周方向に交互に配設されていることを特徴とする自動変速機。 - 請求項1に記載の自動変速機において、
上記複数のクラッチのピストンを挟んで作動油圧室と対向する遠心バランス室が軸方向視で相互に重複せずかつ軸心と直交する同一平面上で径方向に並ぶように配置されていることを特徴とする自動変速機。 - 請求項1又は6に記載の自動変速機において、
上記複数のクラッチの摩擦板が軸方向視で相互に重複せずかつ軸心と直交する同一平面上で径方向に並ぶように配置されていることを特徴とする自動変速機。
