本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様である発光装置について図1を用いて説明する。なお、以下において厚みはすべて光学距離で示すこととする。
本実施の形態では、実施の形態1で説明した本発明の一態様である発光装置の具体的な構造について、図2を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様である発光装置が有する発光素子の構造について図3を用いて説明する。なお、以下において厚みはすべて光学距離で示すこととする。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様である発光装置の具体的な構成について図4を用いて説明する。なお、図4(A)は、発光装置を示す上面図、図4(B)は図4(A)をA−A’およびB−B’で切断した断面図である。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様である発光装置を用いて完成させた様々な電子機器の一例について、図5を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様である発光装置を適用した照明装置の一例について、図6を用いて説明する。

Claims (9)
- 第1の反射電極、前記第1の反射電極に接して設けられた第1の透明導電層、前記第1の透明導電層に接して設けられたEL層、及び前記EL層に接して設けられた半透過・半反射電極を有する第1の発光素子と、
第2の反射電極、前記第2の反射電極に接して設けられた第2の透明導電層、前記第2の透明導電層に接して設けられた前記EL層、及び前記EL層に接して設けられた前記半透過・半反射電極を有する第2の発光素子と、
第3の反射電極、前記第3の反射電極に接して設けられた前記EL層、及び前記EL層に接して設けられた前記半透過・半反射電極を有する第3の発光素子と、を有し、
前記第1の発光素子からは、λ1の波長の光が取り出され、
前記第2の発光素子からは、λ2の波長の光が取り出され、
前記第3の発光素子からは、λ3の波長の光が取り出され、
λ3>λ1>λ2の関係を満たし、
前記第1の発光素子における前記第1の反射電極と前記半透過・半反射電極との光学距離は、前記第3の発光素子における前記第3の反射電極と前記半透過・半反射電極との光学距離よりも長く、
前記第2の発光素子における前記第2の反射電極と前記半透過・半反射電極との光学距離は、前記第3の発光素子における前記第3の反射電極と前記半透過・半反射電極との光学距離よりも長い発光装置。 - 第1の反射電極、前記第1の反射電極に接して設けられた第1の透明導電層、前記第1の透明導電層に接して設けられたEL層、及び前記EL層に接して設けられた半透過・半反射電極を有する第1の発光素子と、
第2の反射電極、前記第2の反射電極に接して設けられた第2の透明導電層、前記第2の透明導電層に接して設けられた前記EL層、及び前記EL層に接して設けられた前記半透過・半反射電極を有する第2の発光素子と、
第3の反射電極、前記第3の反射電極に接して設けられた前記EL層、及び前記EL層に接して設けられた前記半透過・半反射電極を有する第3の発光素子と、を有し、
前記第1の発光素子からは、λ1の波長の光が取り出され、
前記第2の発光素子からは、λ2の波長の光が取り出され、
前記第3の発光素子からは、λ3の波長の光が取り出され、
λ3>λ1>λ2の関係を満たし、
前記第1の発光素子において、前記第1の反射電極と前記第2の発光層との光学距離は3λ1/4であり、前記第1の反射電極と前記半透過・半反射電極との光学距離はλ1であり、
前記第2の発光素子において、前記第2の反射電極と前記第3の発光層との光学距離は3λ2/4であり、前記第2の反射電極と前記半透過・半反射電極との光学距離はλ2であり、
前記第3の発光素子において、前記第3の反射電極と前記第1の発光層との光学距離はλ3/4であり、前記第3の反射電極と前記半透過・半反射電極との光学距離はλ3/2である発光装置。 - 第1の反射電極、前記第1の反射電極に接して設けられた第1の透明導電層、前記第1の透明導電層に接して設けられたEL層、及び前記EL層に接して設けられた半透過・半反射電極を有する第1の発光素子と、
第2の反射電極、前記第2の反射電極に接して設けられた前記EL層、及び前記EL層に接して設けられた前記半透過・半反射電極を有する第2の発光素子と、を有し、
前記EL層は、第1の発光層を含み、
前記第1の発光層は、λ3の波長の光を発し、
前記第1の発光素子からは、λ1の波長の光が取り出され、
前記第2の発光素子からは、λ2の波長の光が取り出され、
λ2>λ3>λ1の関係を満たし、
前記第1の発光素子において、前記第1の反射電極と前記第1の発光層との光学距離は3λ1/4であり、前記第1の反射電極と前記半透過・半反射電極との光学距離はλ1であり、
前記第2の発光素子において、前記第2の反射電極と前記第1の発光層との光学距離はλ2/4であり、前記第2の反射電極と前記半透過・半反射電極との光学距離はλ2/2である発光装置。 - 第1の反射電極、前記第1の反射電極に接して設けられた第1の透明導電層、前記第1の透明導電層に接して設けられたEL層、及び前記EL層に接して設けられた半透過・半反射電極を有する第1の発光素子と、
第2の反射電極、前記第2の反射電極に接して設けられた第2の透明導電層、前記第2の透明導電層に接して設けられた前記EL層、及び前記EL層に接して設けられた前記半透過・半反射電極を有する第2の発光素子と、
第3の反射電極、前記第3の反射電極に接して設けられた前記EL層、及び前記EL層に接して設けられた前記半透過・半反射電極を有する第3の発光素子と、を有し、
前記EL層は、第1の発光層と、第2の発光層とを含み、
前記第1の発光層は、λ4の波長の光を発し、
前記第2の発光層は、λ2の波長の光を発し、
前記第1の発光素子からは、λ1の波長の光が取り出され、
前記第2の発光素子からは、λ2の波長の光が取り出され、
前記第3の発光素子からは、λ3の波長の光が取り出され、
λ3>λ4>λ1>λ2の関係を満たし、
前記第1の発光素子において、前記第1の反射電極と前記第1の発光層との光学距離は3λ1/4であり、前記第1の反射電極と前記半透過・半反射電極との光学距離はλ1であり、
前記第2の発光素子において、前記第2の反射電極と前記第2の発光層との光学距離は3λ2/4であり、前記第2の反射電極と前記半透過・半反射電極との光学距離はλ2であり、
前記第3の発光素子において、前記第3の反射電極と前記第1の発光層との光学距離はλ3/4であり、前記第3の反射電極と前記半透過・半反射電極との光学距離はλ3/2である発光装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか一において、
前記EL層は、正孔注入層、正孔輸送層、電子輸送層、及び電子注入層のいずれか一つ、または複数を有する発光装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか一において、
前記第1の透明導電層は、前記第2の透明導電層よりも膜厚が厚い発光装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれか一において、
前記第1乃至前記第3の反射電極は、同じ材料を含む発光装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項7のいずれか一に記載の発光装置を用いた電子機器。
- 請求項1乃至請求項7のいずれか一に記載の発光装置を用いた照明装置。
