Description
Claims (4)
- 可変開口ピッチのエキスパンドメタルシートからフィルタを作製する方法であって、
(a)一定の長さの金属シートを該シートの長さに沿って不連続的なステップで給送し;
(b)前記シートの長さに対して横方向である一列の穿孔を形成するように穴開けして穿孔シートを製造し;
(c)前記穿孔シートを長手方向に伸張することによって、前記穿孔を伸ばして開口にし、複数列の開口を有するエキスパンドメタルシートを製造する、
各ステップを含み、
前記開口の隣接する列の間の間隔が一定でなく、前記エキスパンドメタルシートからフィルタを作製し、半径方向に隣接する前記開口が入れ子状態にならないよう、前記可変開口ピッチのエキスパンドメタルシートをロール巻きにしてフィルタを形成することを特徴とする方法。 - 前記シートの給送速度、穴開け速度、および/または伸張量を変えて、前記可変開口ピッチのエキスパンドメタルシートを製造するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- (d)前記エキスパンドメタルシートを平坦にするステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の方法。
- 前記フィルタが自動車のエアバッグフィルタであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
