前記放射検出手段は、複数のフォトダイオードを備える、項目1に記載の電気光学ディスプレイ。
(項目4)
光偏向ベゼルをさらに備え、該光偏向ベゼルは、前記放射発生手段からの放射を、前記光透過性導電層を横断し、そこから前記放射検出手段上へと偏向するように配設される、項目1に記載の電気光学ディスプレイ。

前記電気光学材料は、電気泳動材料を備え、該電気泳動材料は、流体の中に配置され、および電場の影響下において該流体を通って移動することが可能である複数の荷電粒子を備える、項目1に記載の電気光学ディスプレイ。

前記荷電粒子および前記流体は、複数のカプセルまたはマイクロセル内に閉じ込められている、項目5に記載の電気光学ディスプレイ。

前記荷電粒子および前記流体は、ポリマー材料を備える連続相によって囲まれる複数の離散液滴として存在する、項目5に記載の電気光学ディスプレイ。

前記流体は、ガス状である、項目5に記載の電気光学ディスプレイ。

電気光学ディスプレイであって、該電気光学ディスプレイは、
光透過性導電層であって、該導電層の周辺部分は、該導電層の伝導性よりも高い伝導性を有する複数の伝導性部材を支承する、光透過性導電層と、
固体電気光学材料の層と、
複数の画素電極を支承するバックプレーンと

Claims (7)
- 電気光学ディスプレイであって、
光透過性導電層と、
固体電気光学材料の層と、
複数の画素電極を支承するバックプレーンであって、該バックプレーンの周辺部分は、該固体電気光学材料の層を越えて外向きに延在し、該バックプレーンの周辺部分は、該バックプレーンの表面に垂直な方向に放射を放出するように配設される複数の放射発生手段および複数の放射検出手段を支承し、該複数の放射発生手段および複数の放射検出手段はともにタッチスクリーンとして作用するように配設される、バックプレーンと、
該放射発生手段からの放射を、該光透過性導電層を横断し、そこから該放射検出手段上へと偏向するように配設される光偏向ベゼルと
を順番に備える、ディスプレイ。 - 前記放射発生手段は、赤外線領域内で放出する複数の発光ダイオードを備える、請求項1に記載の電気光学ディスプレイ。
- 前記放射検出手段は、複数のフォトダイオードを備える、請求項1に記載の電気光学ディスプレイ。
- 前記電気光学材料は、電気泳動材料を備え、該電気泳動材料は、流体の中に配置され、および電場の影響下において該流体を通って移動することが可能である複数の荷電粒子を備える、請求項1に記載の電気光学ディスプレイ。
- 前記荷電粒子および前記流体は、複数のカプセルまたはマイクロセル内に閉じ込められている、請求項4に記載の電気光学ディスプレイ。
- 前記荷電粒子および前記流体は、ポリマー材料を備える連続相によって囲まれる複数の離散液滴として存在する、請求項4に記載の電気光学ディスプレイ。
