本願は、35U.S.C.§119(e)の規定に基づいて2009年3月13日に出願された米国特許仮出願第61/160,041号(発明の名称:Lens Assembly System and Method)、2009年9月24日に出願された米国特許仮出願第61/245,438号(発明の名称:Lens Assembly Apparatus and Method of Operation)及び2010年3月9日に出願された米国特許出願第12/720,093号(発明の名称:Lens Assembly Apparatus and Method)の権益を主張する出願であり、これら出願を参照により引用し、これらの記載内容全体を本明細書の一部とする。

Claims (25)
- 光学装置であって、
光学的に活性の領域を備えた第1のメンブレンを有し、
カバーから離れ、このカバーに対して固定した関係で配置された固定レンズを有し、前記固定レンズは湾曲しており、
前記固定レンズの中心及び前記第1のメンブレンの中心を通って延びる光軸を有し、
移動しない周囲を備え、且つ光学的活性領域を備えていない第2のメンブレンを有し、
前記第1のメンブレンと前記第2のメンブレンは、充填材によって互いに結合され、
前記第2のメンブレンを介して前記充填材に結合された少なくとも1つの電磁的に変位可能なコンポーネントを有し、前記少なくとも1つの電磁的に変位可能なコンポーネントの変位が、前記充填材の動きによって前記第1のメンブレンの前記光学的活性領域の変形を生じさせるようになっており、
前記光学的活性領域に隣接し、長手方向及び半径方向に前記固定レンズ及び前記光軸に対して間隔をあけて固定されたレンズシェーパを有し、前記レンズシェーパは、前記少なくとも1つの電磁的に変位可能なコンポーネントから分離され、区別されており、
前記固定レンズは前記充填材と接触しており、
前記第1のメンブレンは、前記移動しないレンズシェーパによって規定された半径方向外周部を有し、
前記第2のメンブレンは前記少なくとも1つの電磁的に変位可能なコンポーネントに接触しており、前記第2のメンブレンの周囲は、前記固定レンズに対して間隔を開けて固定されており、
前記第1のメンブレン又は前記第2のメンブレンの少なくとも一方はあらかじめ延伸された状態で配置されている、光学装置。 - 前記充填材は、液体、イオン液体、ゲル、気体及びポリマーから成る群から選択された物質である、請求項1記載の光学装置。
- 前記電磁的に変位可能なコンポーネントは、コイルを含む、請求項1記載の光学装置。
- 前記電磁的に変位可能なコンポーネントは、少なくとも1つの磁石を含む、請求項1記載の光学装置。
- 前記電磁的に変位可能なコンポーネントは、磁気的に軟らかい材料で作られている、請求項1記載の光学装置。
- 電流を前記電気コイルに流すと、起電力を生じさせると共に前記電気コイルを前記光学装置の光軸に対して全体として軸方向に動かす磁界が生じる、請求項3記載の光学装置。
- 前記コイルは、容器に対して静止状態にあり、前記少なくとも1つの磁石は、前記コイルに対して動くことができる、請求項4記載の光学装置。
- 前記充填材と前記メンブレンは、同種の材料で構成されている、請求項1記載の光学装置。
- 電磁的に変位可能なコンポーネントは、前記第2のメンブレンの変形の結果として、前記充填材の動きにより前記第1のメンブレンの変形が生じるよう前記第2のメンブレンに機械的に結合されている、請求項1記載の光学装置。
- 前記電磁的に変位可能なコンポーネントは、機械的付着、化学的付着、分散的付着、静電的付着及び拡散的付着から成る群から選択された取り付け機構によって前記第2のメンブレン部分に取り付けられている、請求項1記載の光学装置。
- 前記電磁的に変位可能なコンポーネントは、前記第1のメンブレン及び前記第2のメンブレンのうちの少なくとも一方を画定している、請求項1記載の光学装置。
- 前記レンズシェーパは、前記第1のメンブレンの前記光学的活性領域の形状を定める円形開口部を有する、請求項1記載の光学装置。
- 前記少なくとも1つの電磁的に変位可能なコンポーネントは、前記第2のメンブレンの各側に位置決めされる、請求項1記載の光学装置。
- 前記第2のメンブレンは、前記第1のメンブレンを側方に包囲している、請求項1記載の光学装置。
- 前記電磁的に変位可能なコンポーネントは、前記第1のメンブレンを側方に包囲している、請求項1記載の光学装置。
- 前記第1のメンブレン又は前記第2のメンブレンのうちの少なくとも一方は、あらかじめ延伸された状態で配置されている、請求項1記載の光学装置。
- 前記メンブレンは、少なくとも一部が、ゲル、エラストマー、サーモプラスト及びジュロプラストから成る群から選択された少なくとも1つの材料で作られている、請求項1記載の光学装置。
- 前記コイルは、前記第2のメンブレンに取り付けられたボビン及び前記ボビン上に設けられた導電線を有する、請求項3記載の光学装置。
- 前記ボビンは、硬質材料で作られている、請求項18記載の光学装置。
- 前記コイルは、磁化構造体と相互作用するよう働く、請求項1記載の光学装置。
- 前記磁化構造体は、少なくとも1つの磁石を含む、請求項20記載の光学装置。
- 前記磁化構造体は、磁束案内構造体を含む、請求項20記載の光学装置。
- 前記磁束案内構造体は、磁気的に軟らかい材料で作られている、請求項22記載の光学装置。
- 前記磁化構造体の周囲は、形状が実質的に長方形である、請求項20記載の光学装置。
- 前記光学装置は、光学焦点合わせシステム、ズームシステム及び照明システムのうちの1つの少なくとも一部である、請求項1記載の光学装置。
