Description
円周にわたって分布された複数の刃先と、刃先に隣接する逃げ面とを有する当該のエンドミルは、一方では国際公開2005/122690号パンフレットから、他方では米国特許第3456316号明細書から知られている。これらの知られているカッタの同心運動挙動を改良するために、ガイドエッジが提供され、これらのガイドエッジは、円周方向で逃げ面からある距離の位置に配置される。これらのガイドエッジは、フライス削り操作中にフライス削りの対象となる穴内にあるエンドミルをさらに支持する働きをする。
Claims (8)
- カッタ円周に亘って分布された複数の刃先(6)を有するエンドミルカッタであって、円周方向(10)でそれぞれの刃先に隣接する逃げ面(11)と、円周方向(10)で前記刃先(6)とは反対の側で前記逃げ面(11)に隣接する支持面(12)と、を有し、
前記支持面(12)上にはコーティングが形成され、
前記支持面(12)の領域内でのカッタ外径(5)は、前記刃先(6)の領域内でのカッタ外径(5)よりも小さく、
前記支持面(12)における前記逃げ面(11)とは反対側には、隣接する間隙を形成するための円筒研削された逃げ部が形成され、
刃先の角(15)には丸みが付けられ、
刃先ベベル(18)によって安定化させられるポジティブすくい角をもつ刃先(6)と、前記刃先(6)の互いに対する不均等なピッチを有することと、を特徴とするとともに、
前記逃げ面(11)は凹面状であって、
前記支持面(12)は、前記逃げ面(11)に連続するように形成されているとともに、前記刃先(6)に引き寄せられた被削材を支持することを特徴とする
エンドミルカッタ。 - 個々の刃先(6)が互いに重なるような軸方向での前記刃先(6)のずれを有することを特徴とする
請求項1に記載のエンドミルカッタ。 - 前記刃先(6)と、前記刃先(6)に隣接する前記逃げ面(11)と、前記支持面(12)とが、それぞれ超硬ストリップの一部分であり、
1つまたは複数の超硬ストリップが、刃先モジュール(4)と同様に、前記エンドミルカッタの基体(9)に刃先領域でろう付けされることを特徴とする
請求項1に記載のエンドミルカッタ。 - 前記エンドミルカッタの基体(9)の刃先領域内に挿入することができ、刃先(6)と、逃げ面(11)と、支持面(12)とを有する割出し可能インサート(22)を特徴とする
請求項1に記載のエンドミルカッタ。 - 前記エンドミルカッタの中心長手方向軸(19)の方向に延び、それぞれの刃先モジュール(4)を刃先セグメントに分割するチップブレーカ溝(20)を特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のエンドミルカッタ。
- 前記エンドミルカッタが下向きカッタであることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のエンドミルカッタ。
- 材料として硬質カーバイドを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のエンドミルカッタ。
- 請求項1〜7の何れか1項に記載のエンドミルを被削材と連動させることを特徴とする前記被削材のフライス削り方法。
