Description
Claims (11)
- 回転する磁気記録媒体上に浮上するヘッドスライダであって、
前記磁気記録媒体と対向する媒体対向面に形成された端面から、前記磁気記録媒体に対して局所的にエネルギーを与え、その箇所の磁化方向の反転しやすさを高める素子と、
前記媒体対向面まで延び、その端面から前記磁化方向の反転しやすさが高められた箇所に向けて記録磁界を発する主磁極を含む単磁極型記録ヘッドと、
を備え、
前記主磁極の端面は、トレーリング側の幅よりもリーディング側の幅が広がった台形状を有し、前記リーディング側の端部の幅が、前記磁気記録媒体に記録される磁化のトラック幅方向の幅よりも広く、前記磁気記録媒体の回転方向に沿った長さが、前記トレーリング側の端部の幅の2倍以上であり、
前記素子の端面は、前記主磁極の端面に対して前記トレーリング側に設けられる、
ことを特徴とするヘッドスライダ。 - 前記主磁極の端面は、前記トレーリング側の端部から前記リーディング側に広がる、
請求項1に記載のヘッドスライダ。 - 前記素子の端面は、前記主磁極の端面よりも小さい、
請求項1に記載のヘッドスライダ。 - 前記素子は、その端面から近接場光を発する、
請求項1に記載のヘッドスライダ。 - 前記素子は、金属からなる散乱体により構成される、
請求項4に記載のヘッドスライダ。 - 前記素子は、その端面から高周波磁界を発する、
請求項1に記載のヘッドスライダ。 - 前記素子の端面は、前記主磁極の端面に対して前記リーディング側に設けられる、
請求項1に記載のヘッドスライダ。 - 前記主磁極に対して少なくとも幅方向の両側に設けられる磁気遮蔽部を更に備える、
請求項1に記載のヘッドスライダ。 - 前記主磁極の端面の最も大きな幅は、前記磁気記録媒体に記録される磁化のトラック幅方向の幅よりも大きい、
請求項1に記載のヘッドスライダ。 - 請求項1に記載のヘッドスライダを備えるヘッドアッセンブリ。
- 請求項10に記載のヘッドアッセンブリを備える磁気ディスク装置。
