Description
本出願は、2008年1月25日出願の米国特許出願第61/023,540号の優先権を主張する。その内容は参照により本明細書中に組み入れられる。
(I)以下の(i)〜(iii)を含み、亜鉛を実質的に含まないエポキシ熱硬化性プライマー
(i)約860〜約930のEEWを有するエポキシ樹脂;
(ii)約200〜約500のヒドロキシル当量を有するポリヒドロキシル官能性フェノール系硬化剤(polyhydroxyl functional phenolic curing agent);および
(iii)充填材、
(II)以下の(i)〜(v)を含む重層エポキシ−ポリエステル熱硬化性トップコート
(i)約520〜約930のEEWを有するエポキシ樹脂;
(ii)約1000〜約1600のEEWを有するエラストマー改質エポキシ樹脂;
(iii)約45mg KOH/g〜約75mg KOH/gの酸価を有するカルボキシル官能性ポリエステル樹脂;
(iv)起泡剤;および
(v)強化用繊維(reinforcing fiber)。
1.方法1 − 鋼は、プライマーおよびトップコートの連続的な塗布後のより理想的な付着のために約220°F〜約380°Fに加熱される。コーティングされた鋼は、その後、複合コーティング層を作製するために再び加熱され、コーティングシステム上での十分な特性の展開がもたらされる。

11K-White TC720は、Tayca Corporationから市販されている、ケイ酸マグネシウム(タルク)耐食性顔料である。
12AZO77Hは、U.S.Zinc.から市販されている酸化亜鉛顔料である。
13Zinc dust64は、Zinc Corporation of Americaによって製造されており、The Cary Companyによって流通されている、亜鉛粉末である。
2CVC Specialty Chemicals,Inc.から市販されている、1250〜1500のEEWを有するCTBN改質エポキシ樹脂。
3Cytec Industries Inc.から市販されている、46mg KOH/g〜51mg KOH/gの酸価および約50℃のTgを有するカルボキシル官能性ポリエステル樹脂。
4Cytec Industries Inc.から市販されている、68mg KOH/g〜74mg KOH/gの酸価および約58℃のTgを有するカルボキシル官能性ポリエステル樹脂。
5Bentone 38は、Elementis Specialtiesから市販されている、有機粘土レオロジー調節剤である。

10アルミノケイ酸塩繊維(aluminosilicate fibers)はシラン処理されており、125±25umの平均の長さを有しており、Lapinus Fibersから市販されている。
11Atomiteは、Imerys Performance Minerals.から市販されている炭酸カルシウム充填剤である。
Claims (22)
- (I)以下の(i)〜(iii)を含み、50重量%未満の量の亜鉛を含有するエポキシ熱硬化性プライマー、及び
(i)860〜930のEEWを有するエポキシ樹脂;
(ii)200〜500のヒドロキシル当量を有するポリヒドロキシル官能性フェノール系硬化剤;および
(iii)充填材、
(II)重層エポキシ−ポリエステル熱硬化性トップコート、
を含むコーティングシステム。 - 前記重層エポキシ−ポリエステル熱硬化性トップコートが、以下の(i)〜(v)を含む、請求項1に記載のコーティングシステム。
(i)520〜930のEEWを有するエポキシ樹脂;
(ii)1000〜1600のEEWを有するエラストマー改質エポキシ樹脂;
(iii)45〜75mg KOH/gの酸価を有するカルボキシル官能性ポリエステル樹脂;
(iv)起泡剤;および
(v)強化用繊維。 - 前記エポキシ熱硬化性プライマーが、1250〜1400のEEWを有する有効量のエポキシ樹脂をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のコーティングシステム。
- 前記エポキシ熱硬化性プライマー中の前記エポキシ樹脂がビスフェノールAエポキシ樹脂を含む、請求項1に記載のコーティングシステム。
- 前記エポキシ熱硬化性プライマー中の前記エポキシ樹脂が、60phr〜95phrの量で存在する、請求項1に記載のコーティングシステム。
- 前記ポリヒドロキシル官能性フェノール系硬化剤が2−メチルイミダゾールを含む、請求項1に記載のコーティングシステム。
- 前記ポリヒドロキシル官能性フェノール系硬化剤が、5phr〜40phrの量で存在する、請求項1に記載のコーティングシステム。
- 前記充填材が、複合アルミノケイ酸塩(雲母)、メタケイ酸カルシウム(珪灰石)、微粉化タルク、酸化亜鉛粉末、亜鉛末、またはそれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項1に記載のコーティングシステム。
- 前記複合アルミノケイ酸塩(雲母)が、10phr〜30phrの量で存在する、請求項8に記載のコーティングシステム。
- 前記メタケイ酸カルシウム(珪灰石)が、10phr〜30phrの量で存在する、請求項8に記載のコーティングシステム。
- 前記微粉化タルクが、1phr〜5phrの量で存在する、請求項8に記載のコーティングシステム。

- 前記エポキシ−ポリエステル熱硬化性トップコート中の前記エポキシ樹脂が、30phr〜65phrの量で存在する、請求項2に記載のコーティングシステム。
- 前記エラストマー改質エポキシ樹脂がビスフェノールAエポキシ樹脂を含む、請求項2に記載のコーティングシステム。
- 前記エラストマー改質エポキシ樹脂が5phr〜20phrの量で存在する、請求項2に記載のコーティングシステム。
- 前記カルボキシル官能性ポリエステル樹脂が45phr〜70phrの量で存在する、請求項2に記載のコーティングシステム。
- 前記起泡剤が0.5phr〜2.0phrの量で存在する、請求項2に記載のコーティングシステム。
- 前記強化用繊維が、アルミノケイ酸塩、メタケイ酸カルシウム(珪灰石)、アラミド、炭素、またはそれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項2に記載のコーティングシステム。
- 前記強化用繊維が20phr〜70phrの量で存在する、請求項2に記載のコーティングシステム。
