Description
Claims (18)
- セラミック製品において、主としてチタン酸アルミニウムと二チタン酸マグネシウムの固溶体からなる第1の結晶相及びコージェライトを含む第2の結晶相を有し、該製品が、酸化物基準の重量%で表して、4〜10%のMgO,40〜55%のAl 2 O 3 ,25〜35%のTiO 2 及び5〜25%のSiO 2 の組成を有し、前記セラミック製品は体積で40%より大きい総多孔度%P、および25℃から1000℃の温度範囲で測定して15×10 −7 /℃以下の熱膨張係数を有する、ことを特徴とするセラミック製品。
- 酸化物基準で表して、a(Al2TiO5)+b(MgTi2O5)+c(2MgO・2Al2O3・5SiO2)+d(3Al2O3・2SiO2)+e(MgO・Al2O3)+f(2MgO・TiO2)+g(Y2O3)+h(La2O3)+i(Fe2O3・TiO2)+j(TiO2)の組成を有し、a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i及びjは、(a+b+c+d+e+f+g+h+i+j)=1.00となるような、それぞれの成分の重量%であり、
0.3≦a≦0.75,
0.075≦b≦0.3,
0.02≦c≦0.5,
0.0≦d≦0.4,
0.0≦e≦0.25,
0.0≦f≦0.1,
0.0≦g≦0.05,
0.0≦h≦0.05,
0.0≦i≦0.05,及び
0.0≦j≦0.2,
であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のセラミック製品。 - 酸化物基準の重量%で表して、5〜10%のMgO,40〜50%のAl2O3,30〜35%のTiO2及び10〜20%のSiO2の組成を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のセラミック製品。
- さらに体積で50%より大きい総多孔度%Pを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のセラミック製品。
- 25℃から1000℃の温度範囲で測定して10×10 −7 /℃以下の熱膨張係数を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のセラミック製品。
- 10μmから30μmまでの範囲の細孔径中央値d 50 を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のセラミック製品。
- 18μmから25μmまでの範囲の細孔径中央値d 50 を有することを特徴とする請求項6に記載のセラミック製品。
- 前記ディーゼル粒子フィルタが、軸方向に延び、末端が閉塞された、複数の流入セル及び流出セルを有するハニカム構造体を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のセラミック製品。
- セラミック製品の作成方法において、
マグネシウム源、シリカ源、アルミナ源及びチタニア源を含む無機バッチ組成物を提供する工程、
前記無機バッチ組成物を、可塑剤、滑剤、結合剤、細孔形成剤及び溶剤からなる群から選ばれる1つないしさらに多くの処理補助剤とともに混合して、可塑化セラミック前駆体バッチ組成物を形成する工程、
前記可塑化セラミック前駆体バッチ組成物を未焼成体に成形する工程、及び
前記未焼成体を、主としてチタン酸アルミニウムと二チタン酸マグネシウムの固溶体からなる第1の結晶相及びコージェライトを含む第2の結晶相を有し、該製品が、酸化物基準の重量%で表して、4〜10%のMgO,40〜55%のAl 2 O 3 ,25〜35%のTiO 2 及び5〜25%のSiO 2 の組成を有し、体積で40%より大きい総多孔度%P、および25℃から1000℃の温度範囲で測定して15×10 −7 /℃以下の熱膨張係数を有する、セラミック製品に転換するに有効な条件の下で焼成する工程、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記無機バッチ組成物が少なくとも1つの金属酸化物焼成補助剤をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記金属酸化物焼成補助剤が酸化イットリウムまたは酸化ランタンの内の少なくとも1つを含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記無機バッチ組成物がさらに鉄を酸化鉄またはFe2TiO5として含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1つの金属酸化物が、酸化物基準の重量%で、前記無機バッチ組成物の総重量に対して0より大きく5重量%までの範囲の量で存在することを特徴とする請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記Fe2TiO5が、酸化物基準の重量%で、前記無機バッチ組成物の総重量に対して0より大きく3重量%までの範囲の量で存在することを特徴とする請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記可塑化セラミック前駆体バッチ組成物が、ダイを通した押出により成形されることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記成形された未焼成体がハニカムであることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記未焼成体をセラミック製品に転換するのに有効な焼成条件が、1250℃から1450℃までの範囲の最高ソーキング温度における前記未焼成体の加熱、および該未焼成体をセラミック製品に転換するのに十分な保持時間の間の最高ソーキング温度の維持を含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記最高ソーキング温度が1300℃から1350℃までの範囲であり、前記保持時間が2から10時間までの範囲であることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の方法。
