Description
マグネシア源、シリカ源、アルミナ源、チタニア源及び少なくとも1つの金属酸化物焼結助剤であって、酸化ランタニドを含む金属酸化物焼結助剤を含む無機バッチ組成を配合する工程、
無機バッチ組成物を、可塑化セラミック前駆体バッチ組成物を形成するため、可塑剤、滑剤、結合剤、細孔形成剤及び溶剤からなる群から選ばれる1つ以上の加工助剤とともに混合する工程、及び
可塑化セラミック前駆体バッチ組成物を生地体に成形する工程、
を含む。本方法は、
チタン酸アルミニウムと二チタン酸マグネシウムの固溶体が卓越する第1の結晶相及びコージェライトを含む第2の結晶相を含むセラミック品に転換するに有効な条件の下で生地体を焼成する工程、
を含む。
ダイアスポアのようなアルミナ形成源、γ-アルミナまたはρ-アルミナのような遷移アルミナから選ぶことができる。あるいは、アルミナ源は、MgAl2O4,Al2TiO5,ムライト,カオリン,か焼カオリン,パイロフィライト(葉蝋石),カイヤナイト(藍晶石),等のような、アルミニウムと他の金属酸化物との化合物とすることができる。一実施形態において、アルミナ源の加重平均粒径中央値は、10μmから60μmの範囲にあることが好ましく、20μmから45μmの範囲にあることが一層好ましい。また別の実施形態において、アルミナ源は1つ以上のアルミナ形成源及び1つ以上のアルミニウムと他の金属酸化物との化合物の組合せとすることができる。
Claims (6)
- セラミック品において、
アルミナ、マグネシア及びチタニアを主成分として含む擬板チタン石相、
コージェライトを含む第2の相、及び
酸化セリウムを含む焼結助剤、
を含み、
前記セラミック品が、酸化物基準の重量%で表される組成を有し、前記酸化セリウムが該組成の0.1〜5重量%の量で存在する、
ことを特徴とするセラミック品。 - 前記酸化セリウムが、前記組成の0.5〜4重量%の量で存在することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のセラミック品。
- 前記焼結助剤がさらに、酸化イットリウム及び酸化ランタンの内の少なくとも1つを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のセラミック品。
- 前記組成が、4〜10%のMgO,40〜55%のAl2O3,25〜44%のTiO2,及び5〜25%のSiO2の組成を有し、前記セラミック品が40体積%より大きい総孔隙率%Pを有することを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載のセラミック品。
- 前記組成が、a(Al2TiO5)+b(MgTi2O5)+c(2MgO・2Al2O3・5SiO2)+d(3Al2O3・2SiO2)+e(MgO・Al2O3)+f(2MgO・TiO2)+g(X)+i(Fe2O3・TiO2)+j(TiO2)+k(Al2O3)を含み、a,b,c,d,e,f,g,i.j及びkは、(a+b+c+d+e+f+g+i+j+k)=1.00であるような、それぞれの成分の重量画分であり、Xは前記焼結助剤であることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載のセラミック品。
- 0.3≦a≦0.75,0.075≦b≦0.3,0.02≦c≦0.5及び0.001≦g≦0.05であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のセラミック品。
