Description
そこで、本発明は、かかる点に鑑みてなされたものであり、車両の助手席用エアバッグを被覆するエアバッグカバーにおいて、助手席乗員用エアバッグを収容する収容ケース側とエアバッグカバー本体部側との振動溶着による接合を確実に行うのに有効な技術を提供することを課題とする。
本発明の助手席乗員用エアバッグは、車両事故の際に助手席乗員を拘束するエアバッグとして構成される。本発明の収容ケースは、ロール折り、蛇腹折り、機械折りなどの予め所定の態様にて折り畳まれた助手席乗員用エアバッグを収容するエアバッグ収容体として構成される。本発明のガス供給装置は、車両事故の際に助手席乗員用エアバッグがエアバッグ収容体から突出しつつ展開膨張するように当該助手席乗員用エアバッグに膨張ガスを供給する機能を有する。本発明のエアバッグカバーにおけるエアバッグカバー本体部、テアライン及び展開ドアの構成は、上述のエアバッグカバーにおけるエアバッグカバー本体部、テアライン及び展開ドアの構成と同様とされる。
従って、本発明に係るエアバッグ装置のこのような構成によれば、助手席乗員用エアバッグを収容する収容ケース側とエアバッグカバー本体部側との振動溶着による接合を確実に行うのに有効なエアバッグカバーを備えたエアバッグ装置が提供される。
また、本実施の形態によれば、エアバッグカバー本体部141と枠状体142とが振動溶着によって確実に接合されたエアバッグカバーを備えるエアバッグカバー一体型のインストルメントパネル10が提供される。
また、本実施の形態によれば、アバッグカバー本体部141と枠状体142とが振動溶着によって確実に接合されたエアバッグカバーを備えるエアバッグ装置100が提供される。
本発明は上記の実施の形態のみに限定されるものではなく、種々の応用や変形が考えられる。例えば、上記実施の形態を応用した次の各形態を実施することもできる。

Claims (3)
- 車両に装着されるエアバッグカバーであって、
助手席乗員用エアバッグを収容する収容ケースと、
助手席乗員の対向面に沿って延在する湾曲形状であるとともに、助手席乗員とは反対側の湾曲状の裏面に前記収容ケースが被着され、当該収容ケースに収容された前記助手席乗員用エアバッグを被覆するエアバッグカバー本体部と、
前記エアバッグカバー本体部に形成されたエアバッグカバー開裂用のテアラインと、
前記エアバッグカバー本体部において前記テアラインによって区画され、前記助手席乗員用エアバッグの展開膨張荷重によって押圧されることで前記テアラインにて開裂して展開する板状の展開ドアと、
前記エアバッグカバー本体部の前記裏面に設けられ、当該エアバッグカバー本体部側を基端とし前記収容ケース側の平面状の延在面に向けて立設する複数の立設部と、
前記複数の立設部の各々の先端部分において、前記延在面と当接するとともに、前記延在面に倣った面をなす当接領域と、
を備え、
前記エアバッグカバー本体部及び前記収容ケースは、前記延在面に倣った面をなす前記当接領域が前記延在面に当接した状態で前記延在面に沿った振動方向に相対的に振動されることで、振動溶着によって互いに接合された構成であることを特徴とするエアバッグカバー。 - 車両の前席前方において左右方向に長手状に延在するインストルメントパネルであって、
請求項1に記載のエアバッグカバーが一体状に設けられていることを特徴とするインストルメントパネル。 - 車両に装着されるエアバッグ装置であって、
車両事故の際に助手席乗員を拘束する助手席乗員用エアバッグと、
予め所定の態様にて折り畳まれた前記助手席乗員用エアバッグを収容する収容ケースと、
車両事故の際に前記助手席乗員用エアバッグが前記エアバッグ収容体から突出しつつ展開膨張するように当該助手席乗員用エアバッグに膨張ガスを供給するガス供給装置と、
エアバッグカバーを有し、
前記エアバッグカバーは、助手席乗員の対向面に沿って延在する湾曲形状であるとともに、助手席乗員とは反対側の湾曲状の裏面に前記収容ケースが被着され、当該収容ケースに収容された前記助手席乗員用エアバッグを被覆するエアバッグカバー本体部と、
前記エアバッグカバー本体部に形成されたエアバッグカバー開裂用のテアラインと、
前記エアバッグカバー本体部において前記テアラインによって区画され、前記助手席乗員用エアバッグの展開膨張荷重によって押圧されることで前記テアラインにて開裂して展開する板状の展開ドアと、
前記エアバッグカバー本体部の前記裏面に設けられ、当該エアバッグカバー本体部側を基端とし前記収容ケース側の平面状の延在面に向けて立設する複数の立設部と、
前記複数の立設部の各々の先端部分において、前記延在面と当接するとともに、前記延在面に倣った面をなす当接領域と、
を備え、
前記エアバッグカバー本体部及び前記収容ケースは、前記延在面に倣った面をなす前記当接領域が前記延在面に当接した状態で前記延在面に沿った振動方向に相対的に振動されることで、振動溶着によって互いに接合された構成であることを特徴とするエアバッグ装置。
