なお、図2に示すステップS102又はステップS104において、q軸電流又はこのq軸電流に正相関を有する関数値が所定値を超えるか否かを判定し、超える場合に2相変調を採用し、そうでない場合に3相変調を採用してもよい。

Claims (2)
- 3相交流モータにより構成されるEPS用モータに3相電圧を印加する3相インバータと、この3相インバータを制御するコントローラと、前記3相インバータの下アーム素子を流れる相電流を検出するための電流検出手段とを備えるEPS用モータ駆動装置において、
前記コントローラは、q軸電流又はこのq軸電流に正相関を有する関数値を算出し、
前記電流検出手段によって検出された前記相電流が所定の電流しきい値を超え、且つ前記q軸電流又はq軸電流に正相関を有する関数値が所定値を超える場合に2相変調方式にて前記3相交流モータを駆動し、
前記相電流が前記所定の電流しきい値を超え、且つ前記q軸電流又はq軸電流に正相関を有する関数値が前記所定値以下の場合に3相正弦波変調方式にて前記3相交流モータを駆動し、
前記相電流が前記所定の電流しきい値以下の場合には、前記q軸電流又はq軸電流に正相関を有する関数値が前記所定値を超えているか否かに関わらず、3相正弦波変調方式にて前記3相交流モータを駆動することを特徴とするEPS用モータ駆動装置。 - 前記3相交流モータは、磁石ロータ同期機からなる請求項1に記載のEPS用モータ駆動装置。
