Description
(1)前記基材が、金属、プラスチックまたは金属酸化物である硬質塗膜の製造方法。
(2)前記基材が、脱脂処理された金属である硬質塗膜の製造方法。
(3)前記金属の酸化物ゾルが、水溶液である硬質塗膜の製造方法。
(実施例1〜3および比較例1)
四塩化ハフニウム5.44gを窒素雰囲気下、水32g(1.787モル)に溶解した。この溶液に、29%アンモニア水をpH9.0になるまで添加し、沈澱物(水酸化ハフニウム)を得た。この沈澱物を濾別し、純水により濾液がpH7になるまで洗浄した。洗浄した沈澱物をビーカーに採り、純水32gを加え、14mlのギ酸を添加して、85℃で3時間、加熱撹拌した。その後、室温まで冷却してハフニアゾルを調製した。
5×5cmに切断した厚さ0.5mmSUS304をエタノールで洗浄し、さらにエタノールでリンスした後、エアガンによりエタノールを除去し、乾燥して基材を用意した。この基材表面に、前記〔ハフニアゾルの調製〕で得られたハフニアゾルをスピンナー法(500rpm/5秒→2000rpm/30秒)により、表1に示す条件で塗布して試料を作製した。次いで、この塗布面に、表1に示す条件で紫外線照射装置により紫外線を照射して硬質塗膜を製造した。光源は高圧水銀灯(H1000L、東芝ライテック(株)製)を用いた。照射は試料を光源から9cm下に設置して行った。紫外線の照射度は80mW/cm2、照射時間は10分間であった。
(評価)
前記紫外線照射処理により得られた硬質塗膜を目視により、次の3段階で評価した。
○:全体的に塗膜ムラは認められない。
△:中央部にわずかに放射状の塗膜ムラが認められる。
×:全体的に塗膜ムラが認められる。
鉛筆硬度試験JIS K 5600−4により、鉛筆引掻塗膜硬さ試験機P−TYPE(東洋精機製作所)を用い、6B〜9Hの硬さの鉛筆を薄膜に対して、角度45°、荷重750gで押し付けて、少なくとも7mmの距離を走査した。このとき少なくとも3本走査した。肉眼で薄膜表面を検査(目視検査)し、少なくとも3mm以上の傷跡が2本生じるまで硬度を上げて試験を繰り返した。傷跡を生じなかった最も硬い鉛筆の硬度をその薄膜の鉛筆硬度とした。なお、目視検査は限度見本を参照しながら行った。
接触角計CA−D(協和界面科学株式会社)を用いて測定した。
(実施例5〜7および比較例2)
塩化酸化ジルコニウム・八水和物4.0gを99.5%エタノール55gに溶解し、水2.23gと60%硝酸13.91gとの混合液をゆっくりと添加した。その後、40℃で2時間、撹拌してジルコニアゾルを調製した。以下、紫外線照射時間を60分とした以外は、実施例1〜3および比較例1と同様にして硬質塗膜を製造し、評価した。
二塩化酸化ジルコニウム・八水和物5.48gを水32gに溶解した。この溶液に29%アンモニア水をpH9になるまで添加し、沈殿物(水酸化ジルコニウム)を得た。この沈殿物をろ別し、純水によりろ液がpH7になるので洗浄した。洗浄した沈殿物をビーカーに採り、純水32gを加え、蟻酸14mlを加えて、85℃で3時間、加熱撹拌した。その後、室温まで冷却し、ジルコニアゾルを得た。
TiCl41.76gを純水10gに溶解した。ここまでを窒素雰囲気下で行った。この水溶液に29%アンモニア水をpH9になるまで添加し、白色沈殿物(水酸化チタン)を得た。この沈殿物をろ別し、純水によりろ液がpH7になるので洗浄した。洗浄した沈殿物をビーカーに採り、純水10.0gを加え、35%塩酸0.39gを加えて、60℃で2時間、加熱撹拌して、チタニアゾルを得た。
内径90mmのシャーレ(2ヶ)のそれぞれに5ppmメチレンブルー溶液を30.0g加えて、試験液AおよびBとした。この試験液Aに前記により得られたチタニア薄膜を2枚浸漬した。試験液Bは比較用であり、前記浸漬はしないものである。この状態で、溶液の吸光度を測定した。次いで、試験液AおよびBを並べ、試料の約3cm上にブラックライト(UVM−57 フナコシ)を設置した。AおよびBの試験液に紫外線を照射し、溶液の吸光度を0.5時間おきに2時間測定した。このときの紫外線の照度は2.7mW/cm2であった。2時間後の試験液Aの試験液Bに対するメチレンブルー溶液の相対吸光度(%)により、光触媒性を評価した。
(実施例26〜28および比較例9)
Nb(OC2H5)5 3.18gを99.5%エタノール50mlに溶解した。この溶液に水55gと60%硝酸1.08gとの混合溶液を撹拌しながら加えた。その後、50℃で1時間、加熱撹拌して、ニオビアゾルを得た。
Claims (4)
- 周期表3族、4族および5族から選ばれた少なくとも一種の金属の酸化物ゾルを、低くとも50%相対湿度環境下で基材の表面に塗布し、次いで、前記基材の表面に塗布された前記金属の酸化物ゾルを、加熱によらず紫外線照射により硬化処理することを特徴とする硬質塗膜の製造方法。
- 前記基材が、金属、プラスチックまたは金属酸化物である請求項1に記載の硬質塗膜の製造方法。
- 前記基材が、脱脂処理された金属である請求項1または2に記載の硬質塗膜の製造方法。
- 前記金属の酸化物ゾルが、水溶液である請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の硬質塗膜の製造方法。
