Description
図1を参照して、本発明の第1の実施の形態に係る2次空気供給装置が搭載された車両について説明する。この車両には、エンジン100とECU(Electronic Control Unit)300とが搭載される。本実施の形態に係る2次空気供給装置は、たとえばECU300が実行するプログラムにより実現される。
図4を参照して、本発明の第2の実施の形態について説明する。前述の第1の実施の形態においては、ECUは、電磁ASV、負圧ASV(1)および負圧ASV(2)の故障を検出していたが、本実施の形態において、ECUは、プレッシャセンサの故障を検出する。その他の構造については、前述の第1の実施の形態と同じである。それらについての機能も同じである。したがって、それらについての詳細な説明はここでは繰返さない。
Claims (4)
- 複数の気筒が設けられた内燃機関の排気浄化装置より上流側に2次空気を供給する2次空気供給装置であって、
空気ポンプから圧送された空気が流れる第1の空気通路を開閉する第1の開閉弁と、
前記第1の開閉弁よりも下流側で前記第1の空気通路に接続され、かつ前記複数の気筒のうち、予め定められた気筒の排気側に接続された第2の空気通路を開閉する第2の開閉弁と、
前記第1の開閉弁よりも下流側で、前記第1の空気通路に接続され、かつ前記第2の空気通路が接続された気筒とは異なる気筒の排気側に接続された第3の空気通路を開閉する第3の開閉弁と、
前記空気ポンプと前記第1の開閉弁との間に設けられ、前記第1の空気通路の圧力を検出するための圧力検出手段と、
前記第1の開閉弁が開状態となるように制御され、前記第2の開閉弁および前記第3の開閉弁が閉状態となるように制御され、かつ前記空気ポンプが停止状態となるように制御されている場合における前記圧力検出手段の検出結果に基づいて、前記2次空気供給装置の故障を検出するための故障検出手段とを含む、2次空気供給装置。 - 前記故障検出手段は、前記内燃機関に導入される空気量が予め定められた空気量よりも多い場合、前記2次空気供給装置の故障を検出するための手段を含む、請求項1に記載の2次空気供給装置。
- 前記故障検出手段は、前記圧力検出手段により圧力変動が検出された場合、前記2次空気供給装置が故障していること検出するための手段を含む、請求項1または2に記載の2次空気供給装置。
- 前記第1の開閉弁、前記第2の開閉弁および前記第3の開閉弁が閉状態となるように制御され、かつ前記空気ポンプが停止状態となるように制御されている場合における前記圧力検出手段の検出結果に基づいて、前記2次空気供給装置の故障を検出するための手段をさらに含む、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の2次空気供給装置。
